Yesterday, I received a call from a "Kevin Johnson" who claimed to be calling to collect on a debt owed on a payday loan. He spoke in a thick Indian accent. I informed him that I was filing chapter 7 bankruptcy and gave him my lawyer's information. Today, he called me back from 1 (311) 695-3764. He left a call back number on my voicemail asking to call him back on this number: 1(347) 602-4551. Then he called me back this evening and would not give me any information except to tell me that he was collecting for a payday loan from Cash Advance. I have never heard of this company, first off. Second off, he was very rude and hung up on me when I was trying to get information. He had my social security number and said he had an affidavit for my arrest. I am very concerned b/c I have read on the internet that this is a scam and this guy has my social security number. I am going through a bankruptcy and I am hoping to establish some credit and I don't need some wierd scammer with my social...

    Let's find their physical location in India and drop a small tactical nuke on them, and publicize that we did it. That should give other scammers pause. And why not put one on Assad and Imadinnerjacket while we're at it? Let's clean up some of the [***] and [***] around the world.

    The new number being used by these scamers is (989) 545-4555 and they are James and mark farr or mart now.

    Sorry typo there they go by James and Mark Gar or Mar not Farr or mart. The last name is hard to understand. I paid 200.00 on a moneypak card. Thinking I had been Hacked and my Pc had been spreading Malware and committing illegal acts, but I realized it was a scam when I only had my Internet interrupted, when I opened email notices from an adult dating website. The. Last weekend I spent my tome revolting my Pc. Now I'm getting herassment calls from a man with a heave Indian accent. I thought it would be strainge that the man that called me had the same last name as the voicemail to different man by the same last name. Plus the phone number is an unknown number.

    They are still trying most recent number was 888 666 5136.  they have also showed up as 000 000 0000 and just a single 0.  I've had them call me from other numbers as well.  I downloaded a call trace program for my cell phone that showes them originating in India and coming through Pakistan, etc.  I've  had used a call blocking program on my cell and they just keep changing the number.  I've told them I know of the scam, Ive told them I know where the calls originate from and how that the call is traced, I have told them that I am recording the call.  I told them I am well aware of the laws of this country and you can't go to jail for debts and that if I was being sued I would have already been served papers because I am always home and nobody would have had a problem finding me to serve me and they just don't care.  They are relentless, pieces of filth.  To make matters worse I was in the hospital after just having a heart attack and they were trying to scam me from my hospital bed.

    Today i was called a numerous times, I kept hanging up because I didnt understand them with their high accent. They are calling me from a NY number and telling me that I have three warrants for my arrest because online loans are illegal. They want me to pay something back to them,,,but the point is that I never got a loan!! He sounded really mad and confirmed all my info like dob...social...IP address!!! ...and so many other things,,,finally i got fed ulp and told him that I didnt care if I have an arrest warrant...I said that i have the cleanest background and if they have an arrest for me that i will be waiting at home for them to pick me up!! lol.

      oh...and they say that they have all my bank information and that it will get frozen and I will never get government assistance lol...and thats how you know its a scam...because regular customer service reps wouldnt say that jaja!!

    I received a call yesterday and today from a SGT Daniel Blackwell, indicating I owed a payday loan. He called me several times before getting my supervisor. When I called him back, he did not want to provide the information in writing and continued to threaten me with arrest with my local sheriff office. I tried talking to him about the Fair Debt Practice Act, in which he can not threaten or harass me. I spoke to him yesterday and told him he was not allowed to contact me at my place of employment. Yet, today he is calling again. What can I do to get him to stop calling me at my place of employment??

      It's a fake "debt collection" extortion shakedown.
      He's not a "sargent", just a criminal swindler and phone extortionist.
      Your local sheriff isn't going to arrest you.
      These guys are fake.

      File a complaint with the FBI, and warn your company through your HR department that you have filed an FBI complaint due to being targeted by an overseas extortion racket.  Your company should contact your local police for advice on how to handle these scams, since any of their employees could be targeted next.

    Sick of these idiots
    Got a call today, saying that they were going to file a complaint if I didn't return their call, for failure to appear in court, this makes the third call, from three different people within the last month!  Say they are United Legal - yet, won't mail anything to my home address!  Claim they don't have a home address on file for me.  Guess if it was legit, they would have my mailing address???  Next step, file a complaint with FBI and BBB.

      Anyone can call anyone, anywhere in the world, and lie to con people out of money.

      Most such fraud now originates in India, and targets Americans.

      They are a bunch of lying swindlers.
      Ignore them.

    Now these Indian men and women are calling from unknown numbers offering payday loans grant money they are all indains funny talking people and u don't they hang up if people choses to get these loans they don't need do this

    When they call with something too good to be true, just ask them if they have received the FREE gift of eternal life from Jesus Christ?  A good opportunity to reach out to them with the life-saving news that Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the dead the third day as proof of eternal life, showing himself to over 500 people with the nail holes still in his hands--all in the Bible.  It is unlikely that they will call you back.  I would hesitate to report their phone number on other websites, because it may be a collection site where they connect your cell phone number to an IP address.

    I get call scam from 202-239-6259  and 202 241-4529 pretended to be IRS officer from Washington DC  have warn against my name   bla bla bla it's urgent to call back before some one get to my door (Indian voice)
