Ashley Furniture in Frisco, TX -- Please do not buy from this company, they do bad business, the managers are down right nasty and mean. I placed an order on 5/11/07 for 5 pieces.

I was told it would be delivered in 14 days. On the day it was suppose to be delivered, no one showed up but I figured since it was a holiday, it would be the next day. The next day when no one showed up, I called the store and asked when it was to be delivered.

After getting shuffled back and forth to a bunch of rude people, I was finally told 1 piece of my order was on backorder until the end of July. Their policy apparently is that if one item is on backorder, they will not ship the rest unless you call and tell them to ship the rest of the stuff. They NEVER even called me to tell me that it was on backorder.....I had to call them.

So I decided to go into the store today and talk to a manager.....I shouldn't have wasted the gas and my time. He did not want to hear anything I had to say, told me my business was worthless and called me a B***H! I did not do anything to warant the kind of treatment I got from them, I kept my cool, did not raise my voice or anything.

So please, do not buy from them.....I work in customer service and I have never been treated so badly. No one deserves that...they do not care about the customer at all. All the want is your money....after you place the order, they drop the ball and could care less. All this heartache could have been avoided if only they would have called me to tell an item was on backorder......it was that simple.

Bought a bed room set with a King Sleigh bed in November of 2009. had the side rail crack and break in April of 2010, now it is June, 21st and I'm still waiting for my replacement side rail, Ashely Consumer Affairs gives me the same BS line that there are none in stock and won't be until end of July.

4 months! I have my bed in pieces for 4 months to get a replacement rail. If I would of known this about Ashley before I bought it I would of never of bought it. Consumer Affairs at Ashley tell me that its in the sales rep's hand, who has done nothing, and there is nothing they can do. They won't even call the local distributor in my area whose ordering it, to see what took them so long to get this ordered. Also won't even call other area reps to see if anyone has the rail.

Please do not buy anything from Ashley Furniture. I put furniture up on a 90-day layaway plan (March 13th) and paid it off in about 82 days (June 5th) at its Sugarland, Texas store. I paid them off CASH. Then was told that two pieces were on back order. I was offered two delivery dates, but accepted one so that I could get all of my items at one time.

Long story short, Ashley delivered the bulk of my furniture, but still did not deliver the mirror to the dresser I purchased. This was a clear violation of the arrangement I made with Ashley. On June 23rd, the deliver guy told me that the mirror was still on back order and that I needed to call customer service to find out when the item would be in. From there, I received a complete run-around. Both the store's local and national customer service were HORRIFIC with the exception of Jordyn (at the national call center). Because of the botched delivery, I demanded that Ashley refund my delivery costs, which they agreed (We'll see).

After much haggling and frustration, finally I was told that the mirror would be delivered on Saturday (June 26th). Keep in mind that this is THREE WEEKS after Ashley took my money. On June 26th, the national call center told me that my item was on the "Same-Day" truck and that I could expect a delivery sometime during the day. On Saturday, I waited and waited for a delivery time call, but none came. I called the local store to check on the status of my delivery only to find out that the item was not scheduled to be delivered.

I called the store manager (Steve), who stated that the mirror was at the Houston distribution center and to retify the problem he even offered to bring it in his personal car. Even though he was nice, I thought, "WTF"?

Needless to say, at this time I still don't have my item, but Ashley has my money. My furniture arrived with a few scratches and now I have noticed damage and cracking on the bed post, which wasn't evident before because the delivery people move so fast that you don't have a chance to full inspect.

WARNING: DON'T BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. I have bought furniture from numerous furniture stores and Ashley has been BY FAR the worse ever.

I just ordered $3k in furniture from Ashley at the Grapevine Mills, TX store.  I found them very pleasant, courteous, helpful, and respectful.  While placing my order the associate said he thought he could save me some money, and went across the floor for permission from his mgr to give me 50% off on two pieces.  I was given a date when the furniture would be ready for delivery.  One piece came within days.  They called and asked if I'd like them to bring it on out or wait for the rest.  They brought it, at no extra charge.  All the rest arrived and was delivered a full 10 days early.  The delivery men were friendly, professional, fast, and quite handsome! I am very pleased with Ashley!

I finally received my item from Ashley - Sugarland (Regional Distribution) on June 26th around 9:30pm. Store manager, Steve, made it happen and I am sure I got on his nerves pretty bad - so he made it happen. Thanks Steve. Overall, Ashley's customer service still sucks.

The interesting part about the delivery, however, was the delivery team was from New Braunfels, Texas. They came to Houston to help out. My understanding is that they were about to turn in their truck for the day, but were asked to go out on a final run, which was to me.

Despite this good last minute service, Ashley STILL sucks. Why did I have to go through so many hoops in the first place. Now, I have discovered cracks in my bed post and the media center is peeling already. While I knew I wasn't buying Ethan Allen or Thomasville, I didn't expect junk.

In the future, I must go high end.

Anyone who reads your post can understand your fustration when given false delivery dates/delivery times but I am floored that you felt compelled to write a bad review even after you stated the store manager, steve came through for you to make sure you received all your furniture. You even stated the manager offered to personally deliver your mirror in his personal car on his time and you still write a bad review?!?! Sometimes it is more important how a store handles a problem than actually getting one. It sounds to me this store manager did his best to retify the problem you were having. Most stores would leave it to the customer service department to handle any delivery issues especially concerning just a mirror! Also, after reading the other posts on here where people have been waiting 2+ months for even part of their furniture to be delivered, I can't believe you are complaining about waiting 3 weeks for your last furniture piece to arrive. If we lived in a perfect world, mistakes wouldnt happen and until we do, try expressing more appreciation for a store going out of their way to make you happy.
I agree with you needing to go high end in the future because you are very high maintenance

My family regrets not looking online at reviews before purchasing from Ashley Furniture or else we wouldn't have bought from them. My family went and looked at Ashley furniture in the store, sat on their furniture, and it was comfortable. I thought that since Ashley Furniture was comfortable and looked nice, how could we go wrong? We purchased a sectional sofa and were excited to finally have new furniture, since we had ugly furniture for the longest time.

After 6 months of owning our couch, the cushions and back pillows, are worn out. It looks as though we have had it for 5 or more years. Even our ugly furniture was in better shape than this. My family is very disappointed, and there's nothing we can do. We can't get our money back and we don't have the money to purchase new furniture from a different store.

If you or someone you know is thinking of buying new furniture, don’t buy any from Ashley, their furniture is junk.

We bought a couch, love seat, coffee and end tables.

The first one lasted a few weeks and then the mechanics just would not close.

The replacement chair lasted a few months and then it too decided to start falling apart, not closing and then just broke.

I have lots of pics if you want more details.

    email me at info@cc-bd.com

The reason why people get on here is to save others the time, money and frustration of buying Ashley furniture!!! Why do you think we are all here... to let others no their furniture is crap and they charge alot of money, tell you it's real leather and then when you find out it's not it's too late and they do not EVER replace under their 5 yr warranty.

I ordered a $5,000 Sleighbed bedroom set from Ashley a little over a year ago. There were numerous delays. Then when it came the post on the sleighbed headboard was damaged. They opened the box in front of me and it was damaged in the box. They said thet would order another leg for the headboard. It finally came in weeks later. I lost a full days work waiting on the delivery.

Now I discover this worthless set of junk was made in viet nam and it is craking on the finish on the headboard, and the rest of the peices are also.

Ashleys sells JUNK, never buy anything from them, EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The other bedroom furniture I had had for 26 years and was still decent, to bad I fell for that expensive look of quality that turned out to be [***]!!!!!!

Beetles found in Ashley's Wood Furniture!!!

I bought a bed set from its Pearland, TX store and heard noise in the headboard. Later powder and three holes developed. In the beginning, Ashley's service center said they won't do anything unless we could prove beetles inside. Pest control company determined that the beetles originated from the furniture. Ashley's service center still did not want to do exchange after we provided the evidence! We went back to the store where we purchased. The store manager first said he would fight for us, but came back telling us his boss did not want to do the exchange!!!

On March 4th my wife and I purchased 3 pieces of furniture from Ashely's. We were told it would be delivered in 7 to 14 business days. It is now the 14th day and no one has called. So I just called and they told me that the 14 days started a 11 days after I purchased the furniture. WTF? How does that make any sense at all. You waited 11 days to order my furniture? So I said just cancel it and he said thats fine we are still going to charge you a 30% restock fee. HA! I only put $200 down you won't get another damn dime.

You forgot to point out that it was never even taken out of stock.  The 30% restock fee would be for something that they never even did.
