Ashley Furniture in Frisco, TX -- Please do not buy from this company, they do bad business, the managers are down right nasty and mean. I placed an order on 5/11/07 for 5 pieces.

I was told it would be delivered in 14 days. On the day it was suppose to be delivered, no one showed up but I figured since it was a holiday, it would be the next day. The next day when no one showed up, I called the store and asked when it was to be delivered.

After getting shuffled back and forth to a bunch of rude people, I was finally told 1 piece of my order was on backorder until the end of July. Their policy apparently is that if one item is on backorder, they will not ship the rest unless you call and tell them to ship the rest of the stuff. They NEVER even called me to tell me that it was on backorder.....I had to call them.

So I decided to go into the store today and talk to a manager.....I shouldn't have wasted the gas and my time. He did not want to hear anything I had to say, told me my business was worthless and called me a B***H! I did not do anything to warant the kind of treatment I got from them, I kept my cool, did not raise my voice or anything.

So please, do not buy from them.....I work in customer service and I have never been treated so badly. No one deserves that...they do not care about the customer at all. All the want is your money....after you place the order, they drop the ball and could care less. All this heartache could have been avoided if only they would have called me to tell an item was on backorder......it was that simple.

Leather love seat is peeling. Furniture company used the excuse pet damage and that I took to long to call it in. I have one dog and that dog did not cause the issue. Also, I did not call right away because I thought that I was out of warranty. I found out I was still in warranty when I called the store to find a repairman that I would pay myself.

I feel your pain.  I am having trouble as well. I wonder how many people they have working in their customer service dept. because every time I call, I get someone different.
Has anyone ever got an attorney because of all their problems?

I bought (paid upfront in full) a loveseat on March 27, 2012. I was told I would recieve it 2 weeks later. 2 weeks pasted and no one called or showed up with the loveseat. So I called and talked to the Manager (David P.), whom I also bought the loveseat from. He informed me it was on backorder and we would recieve it in another week. I asked him to call and let me know the status of the loveseat, so we could coordinate delivery time or just to let me know if it's running late again or not. That week passed, no phone call. I called back again, but this time they said it would be another 3 weeks. I was really upset, but kept my cool and decided to wait the extra 3 weeks. I mean, what could I do? They already cashed my check for the loveseat, its the loveseat we want, we looked for months until we found the right one, we don't want a refund, we just want the furniture we paid for in full! So anyways, the additional 3 weeks came and gone, no phone call from the MANAGER! So I called him back, this time I made it clear I was upset. He then talked down to me, explaining what "Backorder" is. I stopped him mid-sentence and said "I know what backorder is, do you know what customer service is David?!". I explained to him that just a phone call apologizing for the lateness of the order would of made things a little better. I told him it fealt like they didn't care about our business. He didn't say they did care, he just said "OK". I told him I want him to call around to the other stores to see if they had the loveseat in their store. He said he would check and call me back. Well to my amazement, he ACTUALLY CALLED US BACK THIS MORNING! He said there were stores that has the loveseat, but they are unwilling to send it to us. So according to him, thats that. We're screwed out of luck and will have to wait until next month. Here's the funny thing though, this morning my boss came into work and said she just bought a brand new full living room set from them and they are delivering it on Wednesday. I said, don't hold your breath. She said they told her that everything she ordered is in the Sioux Falls, SD store, the SAME STORE THAT HAS MY LOVESEAT! So why would they bend over backwards to get her her order but not mine? I'll tell you why....she paid over $3000 for her order, I paid $500. I have bought furniture from Ashley before with no problem, but this new manager is terrible and his staff is terrible too. They kept trying to pass the buck to another associate, even the manager was doing this! I'm 28 years old, a homeowner, newly married and I have my first child on the way. It's too bad that I won't be buying my furniture from them anymore. They just lost a customer for the next 30-40 years, or longer, depending on long I live. Oh, and I also work for the local Chamber of Commerce as the Membership Director, it's going to be really hard for me to recommend them to ANYONE. Even if its my job to promote members, I want to make sure everyone has a pleasent experience when they spend their hard earned cash in my city. They won't get that satisfaction from Ashley Furniture in Pierre, SD.

My husband and I purchased a dinette set from Ashley furniture 18 months ago. All four chairs are splitting /defective at the back rest. We've never seen anything like this before. I called Ashley furniture customer service department and was told because we did not take the extended warranty, "nothing would be done."  This was a totally bad investment. I am never buying at ashley furniture again.

I had very bad experience just yesterday in Ashley store in Naperville, IL. The manager lady called Sacha lost control when I asked her for business card or full name. She was lying thru my conversation with her. I was trying to exchange table stools. No respect to customer.
I have my sweet revenge!!!!!  I’m canceling my  sofa and loveseat order today!!!!!
Stay away from this company as far as possible!

Don't buy from them! We bought a reclinable sofa and loveseat, and the pieces  furnature are nothing like the display models where comfort is concerned. The furnature delivered to our home is so hard it reminds me of the furnature on The Flintstones. There is no lumbar support whatsoever. If you sit or recline on either piece for 40 minutes, you'll have a backache/neckache gaurenteed. I complained to their customer service, and they sent at tech over to investigate the furnature, only to say that "it is up to manufacturing standards." This means that they will not let us return the furnature or exchange it for something that wont break our backs.

Ashley Furnature ripped us off! Do not buy from them!

After reading all of the posts listed here, everyone have voiced their concerns, but I don't read that anyone contacted the BBB.  Without providing this information to an organization that will work through your concerns the stores are not being held accountable.  In the future when you encounter issues and feel you are getting the run around, file a complaint with the BBB and they will contact the company on your behalf.  If have filed complaints with them about other companies and I received immediate solutions.

I bought several pieces of furniture from Ashley's in Fresno, California.  The sales staff were very helpful & nice. I received my furniture on the date & time they told me.  I have had my furniture for over 6 months and am very pleased with it.  The delivery guys were very nice & even put together my bed frame then attached it to the headboard.

I purchased furniture from Ashley furniture in Ventura, California.  They can not for the life of them deliver the furniture that I have already paid for.  It's been over two months and no matter how many times I call them they don't know how to get the furniture I paid for to my location.  Apparently other people are having this problem and I should have read their reviews online.  DO NOT purchase from them.  If you can, avoid them like the plague.

We have a sofa that is peeling as well. We have had it less than two years. The protection plan will cover an accidental cut or puncture, but not peeling. What sense does this make?
Also, our Dinning room table has a horrible finish. You can scratch I by dragging a sheet of paper over it.
Regular dishes leave marks or impressions.
    Don't ever buy Ashley!
