Ashley Furniture in Frisco, TX -- Please do not buy from this company, they do bad business, the managers are down right nasty and mean. I placed an order on 5/11/07 for 5 pieces.

I was told it would be delivered in 14 days. On the day it was suppose to be delivered, no one showed up but I figured since it was a holiday, it would be the next day. The next day when no one showed up, I called the store and asked when it was to be delivered.

After getting shuffled back and forth to a bunch of rude people, I was finally told 1 piece of my order was on backorder until the end of July. Their policy apparently is that if one item is on backorder, they will not ship the rest unless you call and tell them to ship the rest of the stuff. They NEVER even called me to tell me that it was on backorder.....I had to call them.

So I decided to go into the store today and talk to a manager.....I shouldn't have wasted the gas and my time. He did not want to hear anything I had to say, told me my business was worthless and called me a B***H! I did not do anything to warant the kind of treatment I got from them, I kept my cool, did not raise my voice or anything.

So please, do not buy from them.....I work in customer service and I have never been treated so badly. No one deserves that...they do not care about the customer at all. All the want is your money....after you place the order, they drop the ball and could care less. All this heartache could have been avoided if only they would have called me to tell an item was on backorder......it was that simple.

I bought a recliner in the Greenwood Indiana store on March 13 shortly after moving to the area and due to my rural location I opted to have the item delivered. My phone number changed during this time but Ashley had my correct Internet email address. The whole of March went by without a delivery or contact with Ashley. Finally, I went down to the Greenwood store on April 9 and gave them my current phone number. On Wednesday April 13 they called and told me they would be there between 3 and 6 pm Thursday. Waited around all day Thursday till after 6 pm. Nothing. No delivery, no phone call, nothing. Called up Friday mornoing, April 15. Was assured delivery would be between 3-6pm that day, Friday. Had to do things so arrived  back at my place a few minutes after 3. Found a door hanger that Ashley had been there but missed me. A call to the number on the door hanger yielded the info that the delivery person had waited an hour and left the hanger at 3:08 pm. If so, he arrived at my place well outside the 3-6 pm window. Called Ashley and they said the "window" was just a suggested time. How about the truth- that you should stay at your house all day to wait for the delivery? At least you won't get people pissed off that way. Now my stuff won't be delivered until Wednesday April 20 even though it was paid for in full March 13.
I read the contract, and even though Ashley's performance has been abysmal, I can't get a refund. Bullsh*t.
Because of this company's lackadaisical attitude towards customer service, they will get no repeat service. I for one will never spend another dime with them. And I will tell everyone I know who is contemplating a purchase with Ashley Furniture of my experience. In five years they will be gone and people will say "Ashley who?"
Bottom line: If it's not in stock and they want you to order it, don't spend your money there. In manufacturing, this is known as JIT (just-in-time) ordering. That means it isn't built until it's ordered. Fine for manufactiuring but terrble for retailing. The merchant is fully protected, and the customer bears all the responsibility and consequence.
Bottom line: Ashley Furniture are crooks!

I bought a red sofa from Ashley here in my town.  I have all kinds of my
clothing that is pink from sitting on the sofa.  I couldn't figure out where all the pink was coming from until my niece came to visit and sat on the sofa and ruined a new pair of linen slacks.  I will never buy from Ashley again.

I purchased Ashley leather couch, Love Seat, and recliner from Ashley Furniture Store in New Jersey. After about nine months, the furniture started to peel. I contacted the store several times, but got the same answer, they do not cover peeling. Obviously, this is their defect in leather furniture, that was not really leather in the first place. Real leather furniture does not start peeling in less than a year. By the way, I do not have any kids or animals in my home. I am middle age, and my father is 75 years old. We basically stay in our bedrooms. So after sitting on this furniture a few times we noticed it started peeling all over. I would not recommend anyone to purchase furniture from Ashley Furniture Store. They do not honor their service protection plan and they come up with all kinds of reasons why they aren't able to fix or exchange the furniture. Sorry, I ever stopped in the store to purchase furniture. The worst investment ever.

I agree.  I bought a couch in 2011 and purchased their extended warranty for up to 5 years.  I was told by Ashley Furniture in Flagstaff Arizona where I bought the couch that everything was covered with this extended warranty for up to 5 years.  I noticed the threads coming loose on the cushions and called Ashley to see about getting replacements under the warranty.  I was told by Ashley Furniture in Phoenix that cushion covers are only covered for 1 year regardless of purchasing the extended warranty.  Had I known this at time of purchase, I certainly would not have spent the extra money on the extended warranty let alone the couch.  I am trying to fight this and will be reviewing the extended warranty I purchased to see if this language is in there.  Nonetheless, what the sales staff tell you differs from reality and a lawsuit should be provisioned based on their inability to follow through on their implied warranty.

I agree.  I bought a sofa from Ashley furniture that has power recliners on each side.  I bought it in Jan of 2016.  It's now Jan of 2018 and the board on the foot part of recliner broke.  Ashley furniture referred me to the extended warranty company called GBS.  Ashley furniture maintains the fact " you bought that through GBS not us".  I told them I have never been to that company but the salesman at Ashley sold me an extended warranty that was "worry free".  Warranty company states that the warranty that Ashley sold me does not cover "frame" which they are saying the wood foot part is considered frame.

I purchased a five  piece kitchen set and had it delivered.  I was unable to take the day off from work so, my babysitter was home to received the furniture.
my babysitter told ashley furniture the kitchen dinning set looked okay, but she did not inspect it.  when I got home from work I noticed the four chairs were
had scratches and one chair the wood was chip off.  I called the store and they told me to call customer serv.  customer serv told me since the babysitter told them the furniture was okay, that they are not responsible
for the four damage chairs.   this is the first and last time i buy furniture from ashley furniture.  once you buy the furniture from the store, they would not deal with you with any problems you have.

I have spent a lot of money and Joe Ruiz the manager at El Paso's Airway Ashley Furniture was rude to us and had nothing smart to say, he just said what he wanted claiming there was no one higher with more power to make a better decision, turned around and left us talking....

    Get what you pay for
The good- Very low price! 1180 for Lena love set and sofa. They do match prices.

The bad- Sofas are less then 6 months old. Very uneven wear if you sit on one side of the sofa you can tell in less than a month.

The Ugly- Seams are coming apart. The Sofa has been cover from the day we bought them. Took off cover to wash and found that the sofa is coming apart, lucky its just a cushion.

    Garbage furniture
I have a  $500 leather(that is a joke)recliner that i purchased and it has completely fallen apart.  The seat was replaced twice and now the leather is cracked and pealing.  I wrote to their customer service and they said they can't do anything but i shoul look in the Yellow pages and have it reapired, but "any charges incured would be my responsibility to pay".

That wonderful customer services they have.  I will never buy a piece of thier crap again.
