I recently received a phone call from 1-888-279-9221 and also 1-877-855-4547 that told me I had won a $1000 online shopping spree. All I had to do was answer a few questions; little did I know the questions were about my bank account information. Beware, everyone, if you get a phone call from this number(s). It is a scam. After doing some research on the company, I discovered that they use your bank account information to rob you. The report I read was written by a woman who had the same experience with this company. She was told that she would receive magazines in the mail. She received no magazines but money was still withdrawn from her account.

For those that get a phone call from this number, DO NOT answer.

    Well i was thinking even if we closed account that we issued to Reading America, what happened if they continue to send us the monthly statement? How can the victims get out of this completely?

    They asked me for my credit card expiration date, but as soon as they asked for my credit card number I hung up. Am I still in the clear or is there a way for them to access my account just from knowing my exp date?

    I just want Reading America LLC to stop sending magazine subscription to me as well as charging me.  I can't afford it and even if I did it to much problems to go threw with it.  It's not my thing. To much work for to many people.

    These [***] scamed me as well. Told me I could cancel any time and low and behold I'm locked into some bulls*** a** lease. I changed my account info and they threatened to turn me into collections. F*** em I got somethin for them. the FTC and the BBB WILL HEAR FROM ME. KENNY GREEN and EMILY LANDERS U CHICKEN S*** scam ARTISTS get a real job

    They will NOT prosecute you! It is a scam. If you fall victim to this PLEASE contact your state's State Attorney General's Office immediately. They will help you. Don't be scared of these [***]! There is no way that they can MAKE you pay.

    They keep calling my phone and asking for my 13 year old daughter. When I told them I would not give them my credit card #, they immediately hung up on me but keep calling me back and harrassing me. I am calling the State Attorney General's office. I only have one phone and don't deserve to be harrassed.

    I would like the magazine to stop arriving to my house and the billing statements to stop as well.  I try to stop the magazine order 5 day after I placed the order but the people at Reading America told me It was to late. They said I had only 3 day to cancel my order.  Now I think that's to early because they send me a letter with a mini contract and a list of magazine company I would like to pick from that came 5 days later after I placed the order. The reason why I changed my mind was because the letter was more clear about the deal then the telemarketer. That was when I call them and you know the rest. I just want them to stop calling me about paying the bill and just put this to rest.

    Don't kno way to do
    I unfortunately decided to agree to this "subscription". After I did I talked to my aunt and I had just realized what I had did. The very next day I had called to cancel. Because the person I spoke to told me I could. And when I tried to cancel they told menu couldn't then hung up on me. I called them back tryin to speak to the lady i spoke to the day before and she got an attitude with me and told me she never told be that, and "enjoy the magazines". I'm furious idk what to do. I'm a college student and this is the last thing I need.

    I did receive the magazines and the online gift card but the online shopping only had things that you will never buy.

    They call me too and said tha same thing to me but guess what u thieves I gave yall an old debit card number n you can try to do Whtevr wit tht card.LOL n u can tell they were a scam bcuz he started stuttering n then Hung up on me whn I got to interogating they ass, now what kind of business does that. I hope they catch yall n Lock yall up n throw away the key............

    this is directed at the eye in the sky. did you know that it is illegal to threaten people in any way shape or form. The fbi can track down your information just as well as you are tracking other peoples.  This company is in a lot of trouble and so are you.
