Royal Holiday sold us a time share on the agreement that they would purchase my existing time share. We made it perfectly clear to them that this entire deal was contingent upon the purchase of our time share and that we could not afford it otherwise. They made guarantees that our time share would be purchased within 180 days from the time we signed. We then took their advice and opened an account with RCI that would give us 6 months of no payments and no interest with the understanding that it needed to be paid in full before 6 months were up to avoid any interest. No problem we thought since we had a guarantee from them to buy our time share.
After we got home, we did not hear back from anyone for months so I called Royal Holiday numerous times only to be ignored time and time again. I then decided to call the company that was going to purchase our time share (Gene Cantrell from International Leisure Group)only to have him blow off my calls for weeks. Through persistence and numerous calls, I finally got a hold of Mr. Cantrell only to have him tell me that he was in trouble with the IRS and that he hoped to get it cleared up soon. I called a representative from Royal Holiday to let them know that this did not look like it would happen and that I wanted out of the deal. They said they would find someone else to purchase my time share and would get back to me within 24 hours. I heard nothing for weeks. I then started calling daily until Joe Harrison from Royal Holiday finally told me that Mr Cantrell and International Leisure group was back on track and would be purchasing my time share days before the 180 day deadline. When I called Mr. Cantrell to confirm, he told me that he was still trying to work it out and he was hopeful that he could make this happen. Both were lies. Neither company called back, and my 6 month deadline came and went with no returned calls. The problem was now that the loan was due and needed to be paid in full, along with interest for the past 6 months since we missed the deadline.
It is very obvious that both Royal Holiday and International Leisure group colluded to string me along so I would be forced to pay the extra charges and give me little chance of getting out of this contact.
I then started talking with Joe Harrison from Royal Holiday about terminating my contract due to the fact it was rendered void when they could not honor their guarantee to purchase my time share. Mr Harrison seemed sincere at first, but that quickly turned into the same run around that I had already grown used to. He promised calls from supervisors, promised to find a new buyer for my old time share, and then finally promised to come up with a new deal. Of course, all of this has taken 3 months and still nothing. Mr Harrison promised me a final resolve on Aug 1st only to tell me the person he needed to speak to was on vacation and he would need a few more days. After a few more days passed, he again promised to have an answer for me by Aug 8th, knowing I was leaving the country on the 10th. Today is the 22nd and still no call. I tried calling Mr Harrison today only to have the office number ring endlessly and his cell number is now disconnected.
This company is the most crooked company I have ever dealt with. If you ever go to Puerto Vallarta, stay away from the Los Tules resort where you will find the following people doing business under the name of Royal Holiday, Travel Experience, or Concord Servicing Corporation:

There are many more names to list but these were the ones that made the promises and then failed to deliver. Do your research and you will see that Royal Holiday is a not a company you can trust, nor are the properties they represent.

Is not government in this world can take down this company which is Royal Holiday Club, this busters can get away, with everything they destroying people life’s and is not one to stop them, they are criminals.
Went to Dominican Republic on December 7, 2009, we stayed at the hotel Bavaro Princess in Punta Cana, when we were there in the lobby of the hotel a gentleman from Royal holiday Club approached us, he told us that he was part of the hotel, and we would like to invited us to go to the office of Royal holiday club. The hotel always treat Ed his clients very well, and since we were stayed at the hotel, the hotel staff has souvenirs for us please he said come to our office. We went there without thinking what was waiting for us. When We arrived there, was a lot of people in the office, they welcome us, first time they did when we arrived there, they served us alcohol one drink after another they make sure we have enough to make us stupid. The manager of the company which is Royal holiday club, was telling us that they are the best company and the tourist business s from North America, and they are also apart of the hotel. We believe all this kind of lies to this busters, without realizing that everything what they were telling us was a lie after lie. We bought from them what they call holiday for life from Royal Holiday, or timeshares. When I came back to Canada and I read the contract I realized that everything what they told us was just lies. This people are crook, thefts, and the Bavaro Princess hotel and Punta Cana is the rat nest. They took money from us, and they make you drunk to get you firm the contract they used all kind the things to get you. I believe that this busters they put in our drinks some kind of drugs to make us stupid, so they can get our money, we lost more than three thousand dollars. I just want the government of Canada to put travel warning to this hotel and all Dominican Republic. I believe that there are many people in the same boat like me. This Royal holiday Club is a mafia from drug dealers and the government of Dominican Republic knows, but they don’t do anything to protect tourist, I though that I was saved in my hotel, but no this crook they are like wild animals waiting for you to eat you alive. We go to Dominican Republic to give them business, but look what we get no protection at all for the tourist, and when you complaints about something they turn their back...I complaint to the Board of Tourist and Dominican Republic, but they don’t care. People from Royal Holiday Club are using all kind of illegal thing to get you. I believe they put drugs in our drinks, to get us.
No puedo creer que estas ratas anden merodiando por todo lado y no haya govierno o autoridad que los pare a estos ladrones de sus fechorias, todo lo que hacen is ilegal yo fui para Republica Dominicana el 7 de Diciembre de el ano 2009, me hospede en el Hotel Bavaro Princess, alli es la guarida de los ladrones de Royal holiday,ellos nos llevaron con enganos y mentiras y cuando llegamos a sus oficians lo primero que fue es servirnos alcohol les encanta que tomes asi te emborrachan y te lavan el celebro entonces tu llegas a firmar la sentencia de muerte. esto es ilegal ilegal ellos se valen de alcohol y quien sabe que hasta droga te ponen para que te embrotescas y asi pueden sacarte todo el dinero...los goviernos de paises como el caribe y todo parte saben los que hacen estos rateros y no los paran aqui en canada y estados unidos te manda a la carcel si robas 5 dolares y ellos te roban lo mas que pueden y ensima de todos se consiguen agencias que se dedican a llamarte para cobrarte el resto de los que debes...donde estamos estos rateros estan destruyendo la vida de tantas personas innocentes y no hay manera que los paren pues entonces queridos estafados como yo escriban a sus respectivos goviernos y diganles los que les han hecho para que atravez de los goviernos hagan desaparecer esta compania//cuidesen no se dejen por vencidos no hay que darles mas dinero a estos mal paridos.

Royal Holiday Club is an international institution that is dedicated to scam many people all over the world. I am one of the following people that have been robbed by this particular club. I went for holidays to Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) on December 7,2009. I stayed at the hotel Bavaro Princess for the time being. When I was in the lobby of the hotel I met a sales person that worked for Royal Holiday club, he also said that Royal Holiday Club was a part of the hotel; he then invited us to his office. When we arrived to their office they served us wine and all kinds of alcoholic’s drinks. They made sure that we were completely drunk, so then they started talking about business, telling us how successful they are in their tourist industry. They talked so innocently that we believed everything that they have said to us. They brain washed us until we decided to buy from them for what they call timeshares or holidays for life.
We bought the membership from them and we paid more than $3000.00USD. These thieves told me that we can cancel the membership in 20 days if I am not pleased with the purchase. When I arrived to Canada I realized that I have been robbed by this company then me immediately I contacted them by sending register mail but they never responded. I am a victim that has been robbed like the other millions of North Americans that are in the same position as me.
I tried to contact the Dominican Republic authorities and I have mentioned them of the scam that is running in their country, but their was no use complaining because they didn’t do anything about it. And then called the Ministry of tourist and Dominican Republic, but is the same thing they told me that they are doing an investigation about this company. I do not know if they will get my money back.
The government of Canada should put signs of travel warnings to countries like Dominican Republic and Mexico in all airports to prevent this from happening to Canadian citizens.

And of course there's is no communication between them. The only thing they matter is the payment. They don't stand for the service.
In the case of my parents they could pay, that wasn't "the problem".
I remember in 1992 I was 19 and saw how my father was drunk when he signed.
They offered us and others family prospects a breakfast buffet in Sheraton hotel in Cancun.
They offered to sell the weeks the owners didn't take. They lied
They said seling the weeks would be a good investment. They lied
They offered good communication from every contry in which we were. They lied.
They offered discounts on air tickets. They lied.
I saw how this company offered twice an upgrade from US$ 15,000, and my dad who is an old man, accepting it because he thought he would loose the money invested.
They decided a special fee because of a hurricane, which was not on the contract. Easy money.
If you buy these vacations credits, and then you see the ammount of the weeks of the hotels rooms very close to the maintenance fee, then you se there'is no real service. They are selling "NOTHING".
They never standardized the service, to realize let's say in terms of "Cancun double-room days", they elluded very nice the questions about it.
You get credits, nice, what is the exchange rate?
I saw how this company squeezed the most of the money they could from my dad's wallet.
Finally, he recently has rennunciated (2010) to the Royal Holiday membership having used only 4 weeks since 1992. (It's cheaper to get the same rooms freelance).
After that, it was funny to see maintenance fees still coming.
I have seen other timeshare not so global work better, but I don't think the company's geographic market size is the only problem. There's also ethicals values they lack.

Se me ocurre que si Uds, los Royal-estafados se unen (yo soy hijo de uno de los estafados), y formulan un pedido a las tarjetas de crédito American Express, Visa, Mastercard para que veten a esta compañía y les impidan que usen el sistema POS de estas.
