I own Dirt Devil vacuum and the belt broke, so I went directly to dirtdevil.com to order a replacement. On they site they promiss to process all orders within 1-2 business days - I have placed my order on August 9 and it was shipped only on August 24 !!!!! and I got it only on August 31.

And when I finaly got it, I found that they send me wrong size belt - not the one I have ordered !!!

I WAS NOT ABLE TO VACCUM MY CARPETS FOR ALMOST 1 MONTH !!! And now according to their policy I have to ship that belt back to them on my own expence and wait for the refund for 3 weeks and they are still not returning me money I paid for shipment !!!

I am currently on hold with Dirt Devil customer service, waiting to speak with a supervisor because the rep that I was speaking with (named "China") was very rude and had a horribly snarky attitude!  Every response she gave was in the form of either antagonistic sarcasm, or a question that she would not let me answer.  Each time I tried to answer her question, or start to ask or tell her anything, she would not let me speak and would talk over me.

I urge people NOT to buy anything from dirt devil, especially anything that is cordless/rechargeable.  The batteries don't last very long and once they die, there is no way to replace them, so the products are cheap (low quality) disposable garbage.  They are not only bad for the environment, but to make matters worse, the customer service is extremely poor, so calling them results in a very unhappy experience.

I was given as a gift the"dirt Devil Spot Scrubber". I talked to cusomer service and told her my problem that the top piece won't stay on, while talking to her I found that one of the grooves was worn down. Apparently this was defaulted merchandise and someone just put in back on the shelf.
She suggested I buy a new one which I think is ridiculous, why should I pay for your merchandise was defective. I feel your company should replace the whole thing. She also informed me it was SE3238, MFG, Code HO3A,made in 2003.

I spent $169.00 on the dirt devil ultra vision turbo and I just want to say it is the biggest wast of money that I have ever spent on any thing. I truly do believe that I could have bought a better vacuum at the dollar store.

I just put mine on the street for the garbage collectors. I took it to a local repair person,  then just today purchased a $20 filter replacement.  All it does and ever has done is blow the dirt backwards.

I tried a few of the small handheld red DD vacs with the cloth bag and all they do is pick up the debris and throw it back down. Who needs a vacuum that does that? I gave 'em all to Goodwill. Let someone else hate them too. I'm finished with Dirt Devil's junk.

Dirt Devil is off my list of things to buy. It on a never buy list.
I never expected to have a vacuum blow up on me. The little aluminum fan blades disintegrated and a few came out. Scared my wife of course. Customer service said it was one year past the warranty . Gee.. dirt devil doesn't stop working ...it blows up. The oofered me a $25 coupon towards another vac, but I had to pick one right then while on the phone or no deal. I said NO WAY. I never touch another dirt devil again.

Three years ago we purchased a dirt devil dust buster and the battery continues not to charge fully.
    It has finally stop charging.
We always have used your products because of  their dependability.
Please advise for we want a replacement....Thank you!

    Tired of replacing belts.
I bought a dirt devil ultra and only a couple of uses later, the belt broke. I noticed when I replaced the belt, the bar the belt goes on is rusted. I have only used it a couple times and it's never been near water. I bought it new so that bar should not have been rusted. I have since replaced the belt at least 3 more times and I've not even had the machine 6 months. I will never buy another Dirt Devil product.

    My email to Dirt Devil:
"I bought your vacuum cleaner on May 2012. 2 days ago while I was using it, its wand broke and the wires in it were exposed and started to hit each other in the air. Not only it almost got fire but I was almost electrocuted. I haven't seen any dangerous design like this. I am so terrified right now that I don't even know if I want it to be repaired"

    Their response:
"Sorry that you've had such a bad experience with the system. Please click on the link below to find a Dealer in your area. They will be able to service your system for you and help you with all of your central vacuum needs."

Go buy the exact same Dirt Devil at Wal Mart. Then keep the new one and return the old one in the new box. Just keep doing that every time it breaks.
