I travelled on Turkish Airlines on 21st November and my baggage on Arrival at New Delhi on 22nd November 2009 was found to be missing. There after several follow-ups I was confirmed on 27th November that my baggage has been lost and you may please file a baggage lost claim with us and there after a claim was filed on 07th December'2009. during this period I had purchased many of my clothings and personal belongings due to this lost, however after several confirmation that the baggage is lost and the claim is in process -   however I have still received a comment in Feb that the baggage is traced and again the customer care was silent for a month for delivering the bag there after in March they confirmed that they are still searching the bag and finally on 15th March the was found and delivered to me. During all these delay it is not possible to for me to not buy clothings and accessories of my regular requirement as it was confirmed that the bag is lost - so I had re-invest close to USD 2500 for my personal goods and now the customer care in Delhi confirmed that the maximum compensation will be USD 300 only, also as desired I have submitted all the bills of my purchase and still there is no positive response from their side which is surprising for me. I always travel through Turkish Airlines and this is my worst experience of travel and makes me to think before travelling next time.

    On 10july2013 (14days ago)I travelled to Zurich via Istanbul, and when I reached to my first transit destination I asked one of the hostess to help me to carry the cabinet bags since I have a 9month old baby with me, she agreed and told me to take my hand bag and the baby and walk out soon she will meet me with my bags out.later on I took my bags and walk throughout the gates there I realized that my camera Nikon is missing which costs (1100 $),but I couldn't reached to claimed because my flight was about to fly to Zurich, on 21july13 on my way to home they damaged my baby's stroller which costs (1000 $) soon I rushed to the central baggage office and claimed but of course they replied me that their is no Nikon camera lost and will reply me about the damage by taking the photos of the damaged stroller.now I would like to know what will be their reply and will they pay all these bill?? I don't think so . I'm so shocked and still can't believe of what has happened & most of it whyyy?? Wish  it was a dream:'(

    DO NOT FLY WITH TURKISH!  I travelled with them from Turkey to LAX on Monday, August 26 and they lost my luggage containing about $3,000.00 worth of designer and day to day belongings.  17 other passengers on my flight alone were notified of their delayed luggage, if that is not complete negligence I don't know what is.  I sincerely hope some of the rest of them have received their luggage back.

    At the airport a TK(Turkish Airlines) representative directed me to an office at LAX to file a complaint which I did.  When I call to follow up the next day they tell me I did not file a report and have to file at the office or send an e-mail.  I was appalled that the representative directed me to the wrong office and furthermore that one whole day has been lost in the search for my luggage.  I then send an e-mail and call back.  Again I'm told a file has not been created, I did not send an e-mail, and to re-send.  HOW ABSURD IS THAT.  I ask to speak to a supervisor and am transferred to customer service who tells me the same exact things with an attitude at that then instead of connecting me to her supervisor connects me to the call center where a representative there connects me to her supervisor. I explain my frustration as to being left basically without anything in the states but at the mere fact that not one of their employees has been apologetic for the inconvenience that this has caused me.  He told me he can transfer me to the luggage lost and found. I said, "no you are not understanding me when I tell you they have not been helpful" and he responds with "NO you are not understanding me!" Finally I realize that I should start taking down names of people who I speak to, when I ask him for his Name, Last Name and Employee ID Number he asks "Would you like my mothers name as well?"  

    I have still been unsuccessful in locating my luggage and at my wits end with this airline.  Please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY.

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    My wife(Zobaida Khanam Rahman) left Houston International Airport at 7:50 PM on October 4(Friday) for Dhaka, Bangladesh via Istanbul. She arrived Dhaka on time on October 6(Sunday) at 5:00 AM. She cheked in two boxes and one suitcase. For the third piece, we paid $180 additional fees. She found that her boxes were opened and repackaged with some minor outside damages that might be due to handling at airports. Also, the lock on her suitcase was missing. None had security-check tags. She thought it was a part of normal process at airports. She took it easy and did not check if any inside items were missing. Later on, she found that 1) 6 pants, 2) 8 shirts, 3) 4 shampoos, 4) a lot of cosmetics, 5) 4 perfumes, 6) 5 purses and 6) some children clothes were missing. They altogether cost around $500.     Dear Sir/Madam,
    I was passenger from Kathmandu - Istanbul- Vienna- Kathmandu ( my e-ticket number 235- 32965323314) and I lost my Camera in the plane while flying from Vienna to Istanbul ( flight number TK 1886) with seat Number 22 A. In fact me and other  friend (two)  were flying back to Kathmandu via Istanbul and we forgot to take out Camera  named Fujifilm  while being out from the plane ( TK 1886). The camera was under the seat number 22A and we noticed I forgot to pick up my camera. In fact, most of other passengers in the plane was already were out from the plane and no other passenger were left before us while getting out from that plane. When we noticed that the hand luggage camera lost in the plane we immediately reported to officials of Turkish airlines working inside the airport before we proceeded to transit to Kathmandu. They suggested us that I need to go out from passport control and ask the camera at Lost and Found section. But, immigration denied me to  go out to lodge my complain about lost of my Camera because I was transit passenger and don't have visa to pass through passport control and to lodge my complain at Luggage lost and found section. I asked many times to the officials of Turkish airlines customer service inside the airport and they told me that I have only one option to submit my complain in Kathmandu Turkish Airline office. I have  also submitted to Turkish Officials here in Kathmandu. I have very bad impression about the behavior of Turkish Officials because  none of Turkish officials didn't  help us to get back that camera from the plane. we are sure that our camera was under the seat 22A with the plane flying from Vienna to Istanbul (TK 1886).  This is time of 21 century and for Airline people and Airlines that camera is not big deal but for the individuals this is very important first we have very important photographs of our official visit and second I lost the things. Your one phone call would make very important help us but none of Turkish officials tried to do that. We ran here and there spent more than two hours discussed with many officials and even reached to Police so it was very frustrating for us. Again, I request please provide my camera which is very important for me. In fact, even being a big so called reputed Airlines we were really helpless in your airport and country.  Please, support your passenger i request. I hope you will support to provide my camera.

    my parents traveled from Albania to Los Angeles on Dec 14 and one of they baggage got lost. Turkish airline DO NOT CARE, today is Jan 13, 2014 and after one month we still do not know where there belongings are. I WILL NEVER RECOMANDE TO ANYONE THE TURKISH AIRLINE

    I was travelling from Dhaka to Istanbul and Istanbul to Edinburgh On 6 May 2014 but unfortunately we missed our next flight  from Istanbul to Edinburgh due to late of flight from Dhaka to Istanbul and also there was not sufficient arrangement for the passengers for passing their boarding pass very easily and quickly and also the arrival terminal was far distance from immigration gate pass and boarding pass. All everything was fully hopeless. After then I was told to stay at night at Istanbul or can continue my travel via Brussels to Edinburgh on the same day. Then I become agree and choose to 2nd proposal.But when I reached at Edinburgh Airport and went to collect my baggage then the duty officer told me that my baggage has not reached yet. Then I was told to give my all travelling informations, name, number of baggage (Two baggage) Bag Tak number, Bag colour & size, Travel Ticket number and other information. After 2 days I received one (1) of my 2 baggage. The received baggage was fully destroyed and some goods are missing. Another (1) baggage is still missing. Everyday I called to Edinburgh airport Servisair baggage enquiry office (UK) but still they are responding that there is no massage about my claiming baggage. I left 6 days after my travelling but still I am waiting for my baggage. I become very surprised that as a big Turkish Airline how can they do like this responsibility. They must find out my baggage and bring to me because there so many valuable goods and other thinks in that my baggage. So I want to request to responsible person of  Turkish Airline to take necessary action as soon as possible.

    Please be informed that I had a flight from Luxembourg to Tehran via Istanbul . flight no. from Luxembourg  is 1354  Aug.2 and flight to Tehran is No. 872 Aug.2. My baggage tag no. is LG060680.
    I have claimed my case in air port IKA Tehran  under no. IKATK33230 ,but up to now I have not received any acceptable answer.
    Turkish baggage responsible Mrs. Alimorady never answers my call . Her contact No. is 00982155678329.
    Now I am wondering what to do with this case.
    Please be so kind to help me find my bag which contains valuable items.

    I have a flight from luxemborg  no 1354  Aug 2 and flight no. 872 Aug.2 to Tehran. My baggage has not been found up to now . Mt tag no. is LG 060680. I am asking air port they say that your bag with the specification that I have given to them is in Istanbul but I don,t know why they did not send it to Iran.
    my file no. is IKATK 33230.  please advise how can I receive my bag.

    I sent a request on 25th October 2014 through this same page as soon as I realize that when I arrived to Istambul in flight TK0016 23Oct 22:40 from Buenos Aires I've forgotten a blue/ turquease Sweater on my Seat number 17J and 17K ( Group C ) . I left my email adress manuel.s1602@gmail.com and I asked for a fast answer if the found it . Nobody answer me and I'm really upset since I'm sure that such a prestiges company as Turkish Airlaines has a serious lost and fund department where there keep cloth and other thing what flyers are loosing.

    I had a very terrible experience within this Turkish airlines. My luggage last with tracking number PIR Ref LHETK10829, two months ago with Turkish airline. I sent an email to BAT@THY.COM, with my all documents and my claim, but no replay. I have connected flight from Berlin to Istanbul and Istanbul to Islamabad, but my flight was delayed and after a long effort and fight at Istanbul airport with Turkish administrators I managed to redirected to Lahore. But at the end I lost my luggage and now I could not get any response from them and even they did not pick a call in Pakistan. Never flying again with Turkish Airline.

    i lost my baggages on istanbnul to addis ababa flight on jan 3 2015  i arrived on 4 jan four of my suit cases were not on the flight on the next day only two of my suit cases arrived which were socked wet  i am really disappointed with turkish air

    I am living in USA since 1988. I traveled with different airlines (KLM, BIRTHS AIRLINE, DELTA, LUFTHANSA & more). This is first time I was traveling with Turkish airline on October, 07 2004. The airline stealing my items from my luggage both side and they broke locked and took anything was out of space bag in my suitcases. When I return to US on November, 12 2015, I had 3 suitcases and I paid extra luggage in Tehran airport to Turkish airline, but they steal as much as they can. On November, 12 2014 I stopped in Turkish airline’s office in NY city airport, but they gave me an e-mail address to report and I did almost 6 e-mails one and half  months nobody answered to my any e-mails. On December,30 2014 finally I find a right person name is Mr. Kemal and forward all e mails to him, but until now just he sent 7 to 8 times same e-mails to asked  manager of a travel agent  who issued my ticket& I same questions “did you reported? Do you have file number? Did she report? Did she have file number?  Mrs. XXX manager and I say “yes we reported but no file number” because never Turkish air line answer to us. How can I have file number, when Turkish air line did not respond? They have date line to end of February, 2015. After the time I will open a legally case against Turkish airline to pay all my damage especially I paid more than 2 times then economy sit my sit was comfort sit (Items steal morethan $1000.00).

    I need some help to punish Turkish airline because 95% passenger have same problem, but Turkish airline ignore them until people give up.

    I Dr. Mahdi Tokh resident of New York City (USA), usually flying with Turkish airline to Kabul Afghanistan.On March/30/2015 flight something happened very unusual.
    While I was checking in my luggage,repeatedly told to the young lady that I want my luggage in Istanbul, didn't get my luggage in Istanbul,because of that careless and negligent act I missed my business meeting,finally was able to get my luggage in Kabul,But, full of water inside.My duster (over coat) ,suit,shirts necktie,shoe,tow electronic shavers,cellphone,and everything were ruined and destroyed,as I said don' know why? What happened?

    I lost my brand new expensive pushchair from Osh Kyrgyzstan to Dhaka Bangladesh on 10th June 2014. It has been one year and still have not been found. I have always travelled with Turkish airlines and after this experience, I rather travel with any airlines for extra  100 dollars. I cannot describe the heartache it gave.

    It was  August 5 that I travelled by turkish airline  and arrived at the Manila International airport to have been surprised of
    my bagages that had nowhere to be found.   I hope that they could do something  to be of help as I really need my luggage back
    to me.

    I traveled from Khartoum New York on 28 August 2015 via Istanbul. When I arrived in New York on 28 August 2015 my checked-in bag did arrive with me. I filled out the relevant forms at the Turkish airlines in New York and was given nothing but one slipper. I came on Saturday at 2100 hrs and collected my bag from Turkish airlines office at JFK airport. Hence I am claiming the relevant compensation.
