I've had calls from this company day in and day out for weeks. They hang up as soon as I answer, and it's impossible to get to a representative once you call them back - they put you on hold for 20-30 minutes. When I finally got to a life person, she almost killed me with her question. She asked if I am happy with the service?!?!?! Wrong question to ask a person who was called and hung up on for weeks. I said NO!

    A google search of 98314900 led me to this page.
    I've been getting the calls for the last few days.

    A google search of 2 of the numbers above led me to this page, they have rung 4 times already today ...... enough is enough. Now that I know its a Telstra person I will be more then happy ... to ignore them

    I got another call this afternoon that I managed to answer.
    The number was (03) 98341400. The lady asked if I was happy with their service due to recent changes. (I'm with telstra) I told them I wasn't and she looked into my account and put me on a different plan that I was happy with. I'll check my next bill to confirm.
    I also asked if I was getting charged for the call, and she said I wasn't.

    Also, just now I got a call from (03) 98057600 which I managed to pick up, only to hear silence on the other end of the phone.

    Telstra.....
    they are frantically calling anyone on contract with Crazy Johns and tryoing to get them onto direct contracts with Telstra - as Crazy Johns is dumping Telstra.  so far I have had 3 calls (today) and 3 letters from them.  Telstra must be REALLY crapping their pants.

    I got one this morning from 03 98314900.  Why the hell do they hang up? as if im going to call back! Also found this page from google.

    BTW I've had all the numbers in this thread call my phone for 1 sometimes 2 rings and when I ring back it's a pre recorded telstra voice saying they would like to tell me more about their products and services.

    I rang Telstra and lodging an offiical complaint and being asked to be taken off their call list for ANY promotion, which they said took 48 hours to activate.  Since then, 2 weeks ago, I have received MORE calls every day to that number from the same group of melbourne, or 03 phone numbers.

    What is going on and how is this ethical and moral?

    We have had the same issue at my house - it has always been private numbers until today, when i googled one of the numbers and found this. Today was also the first day the person spoke on the other end - and i immediately asked her if it was telstra who had been ringing incessantly... to be greeted by silence, followed by 'can i speak to mr and mrs.... please.' surely this is illegal, especially as i am on the do not call register!!!!!!!!!

    ive only had my house phone 2 weeks and everyday i have missed calls from some of these numbers.
    ,ayb i'l get rid of caller ID since these are the only people that annoy me all day.

    Thanks for starting this up. It explains why I am getting these continuous calls that hang up. I am off contract with this company in 3 weeks (maybe thats why they are trying to call). I wont be going back to them at work or home.

    I have received calls from 3 of the above numbers over the last week, I had my original contract with Crazy Johns.. what happens when they part ways? Are they calling about this?

    I have had a string of these calls and we are on the do not call register https://www.donotcall.gov.au/ if you are annoyed at these nuisence calls register a complain using the above link to the government body

    They have been harrassing me also for the past fortnight on all of above numbers. My Crazy Johns contract runs out in December - they better not keep it up until then! Thanks Mark for 'do not call' site, they'll be hearing from me.

    Yep, same here, Googled one of these numbers because it is constantly on my caller ID....here I am with all you guys!!!!   Annoyed!!!!  It's my phone, don't I have a say??  The worst thing is...the more you ignore the calls and let them ring, the more often they ring you!!   ARRGHHHH!!!!

    I've been getting these regular calls too. (03) 98341400.  Maybe it's about time we contact Today Tonight or something like that.  Let them know enough is enough.

    I had two of the numbera above today and also 03 88081700 - and I originally singed up thru Crazy Johns, so that seems to be the common link.
    I have decided to simply ignore any (03) calls (i am in Syd so rarely get any) that I don't recongise for now, unless the phone rings enough times - so far they have hung up after either one or two rings.
    Methinks their auto dialer system is stuffed and may be hanging up too soon??
