Continuous calls from Telstra

Complaint

I've had calls from this company day in and day out for weeks. They hang up as soon as I answer, and it's impossible to get to a representative once you call them back - they put you on hold for 20-30 minutes. When I finally got to a life person, she almost killed me with her question. She asked if I am happy with the service?!?!?! Wrong question to ask a person who was called and hung up on for weeks. I said NO!

The numbers I've been called from:

03 98314900,
03 98057600,
03 99376000,
03 98342800,
03 98342000,
03 98342300,
03 98342900,
03 98081000.

    It's Telstra......
We all know who's behind it- whether its intentional, illegal or just bad marketing do you think we can all stop discussing it.
I'm switching companies in two months.  Everyone else should do the same.
Stop playing their game, don't ring back, don't get mad, don't abuse innocent Telstra staff, just take your business elsewhere- simple.

Had two calls from this number today. One was a missed call as I could not pick it up. The second one I answered and said "Hello" and I heard "Hello" then the phone call ended. The number was the same in both instances
    03 8808 1400.

My mobile contract is finishing and I am assuming they want to sign me up before the Iphone comes out

I used to get these calls too, but they were to my home phone, not my mobile. I actually reported it to the police, thinking it was a pranker, and I also rang Telstra and asked them to remove me from "the marketing list", as a friend suggested. The calls then stopped.

I am on the do not call list and have no idea what the hell.  If I answer it hangs up on me and if I try to call back it just goes engaged.  What the hell?  Can anyone shed light on this?

I get 4 calls a day from 98342900. When I ahve answered it is "Sandra from Telstra" who tries to bully me into renewing my contract with Telstra. Although they are ridiculously expensive, I would have stayed with telstra, but now I am changing. When I have rung telstra to complain, they tell me she is an independent contractor and they can't do anything about it!?!?!!? WHAT THE???

I also had calls, although I didn't even bother to pick up (because I obviously didn't know the number.) Whatever cheap thrills SOME LOSER in the telemarketing department is getting from this I don't know, but he should either:

    A) Get fired
    B) Get a life
    or
    C) Get screwed.

Whoever it is should just stop wasting their times. Prank calls were so last century, and should be left to the experts ie. 5 year old boys who have found their found their mothers mobile.

I hope whoever this phantom-phoner is finds the love of his life and rides off into the sunset on his tricycle with his gullible, skank of a fair maiden, which he was able to stalk via these pointless calls, and

    Leave. Us. Alone.

(PS - Here are just a few of the numbers I was able to get down. Does anyone on this thread recognise them? I recognised from a few other posters.

    (03)8808 1700
    (03)9834 2800
    (03)9246 4700
    (03)9831 4900
    (03)9834 2300
