I got a call on my cell phone regarding credit card debt relief. . I was transferred to nakisha, asked if I wanted to continue, they asked for $600 or $60.00 to send me the paperwork and for the consultation. When I asked them what it was for she said they would deduct from my first payment but would not tell me what the money was for FINALLY SHE said yes.
THE FIRST TIME THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD APPLY TO MY CREDITORS BUT WHEN THEY CONVINCED ME TO RECORD MY VOICE THAN THEY SAID IT WAS ONLY A FEE FOR THE CONSULTATION!!!
. No fees should be sent to anyone for additional information requested on a company or program
she has been harrasing me telling that i have to pay this amount or else! and that they can take me to court becaues they have my voice accepting!! ! unfortunally i gave many personal information!!
what happends now??

I to went online to search for help regarding my home and came across consumer first law group.Reading all these post make me aa little nervous. I've been dealing with them for a month now.I gave them 2595 up front to handle my modification. So far everything seems ok. I even contacted bank of america myself to see if they are actually working on my file and they said my application was in review.so I will keep everyone posted and let you guys know how everything goes.

Customer Reply They list the NV office on there WEB site, they claim to get home loan modifications and ask for $3500 retainer fee, and garentee it will cover all costs in re-writting loans and getting mortgage companies to accept the Atterneys terms.

Expert's Answer According to the Nevada State Bar attorney directory, the lead attorney in the advertisement is currently suspended from the practice of law. This means he cannot lawfully represent anyone for any purpose -- at least not as a Nevada lawyer.
You can contact the NV State Bar and discuss the attorney's activities with the state agency. They may be particularly interested in the attorney's apparently advertising legal services while suspended from practice.

The lead attorney for the organization that you inquired about may be the greatest legal advocate in the history of law. However, he's currently suspended from practicing law, in his home jurisdiction, at least according to the State Bar, which means that his advertisement is illegal, because he calls his organization a "law group."

Mine is up there now as well. So for those in doubt read through them. Where do you think they got them? They are from people they have helped. Ask another company to provide that. Why they closed Home Safe America and became Consumer First? It was because they were professionals and did a good work for their clients? . I dont think so. There are none so blind as those, that will not see.
First, she never made any application to modify her home. Second, as a professional working in the industry now for years I can say with absolute certainty that the "work" CFLG is claiming to do is completely false.
Bank of America does not and has never had a "Special department" dedicated to handling their files. BoA actually has no realtion with this "firm" in any way. Loan modification are completely plausible in many cases and always remain an option for certain individuals. That being said, a loan modification can only be handled by your individual lender and requires investor approval. No firm, organization or singular person can guarantee that a loan modification will go through. To do so is fradulent and morally corrupt. By framing the fee as a "retainer" CFLG is making people believe that they receive some kind of representation for their money. If you go into foreclosure CFLG will not be representing you or you interests in court. For this reason alone you should avoid them at all costs.
You can find numerous firms that will not only work on loan modifications for you but also complete short sales, deed-in-lieu or consent to judgment should your loan modification be denied or other options found impossible. A true law firm will represent the client in their entirety. You can pay less that $3000 and get an entire year of representation from numerous law firms with proven records.
Why CFLG would say that they are working with BoA is beyond me. If your loan is not with BoA then it would have absolutely no bearing on your attempts to modify.
Always do your research before paying any money up front, which is illegal anyway.

they told me it was gonna be gaurenteed but it ended up working in the end
I in the last week have had nothing but wonderful service by Anthony Blackwell. He took my call everytime I called there and I was refunded my money and he was the one that had to go out of his way many of times to assist me.
When I originally was dealing with them my case manager was nice and helped me but when I no longer wanted to pursue it within the next 4 days and I cancelled it all that is where I was leaving messages and I was left out not knowing what was going on. That is when I left the messages on the blog because they had my money and no one would help me. This last week I had contacted not the refund department but Anthony himself then I was taked care of above and beyond and I got my refund back. Anthony is a truely genuine person and I now think that the place is a true organization that really wants to help people but there is issues with there process of it all. One person does not know what to do with the person and they tell you they cannot help you anymore and the person who just gave a ton of money gets all stressed out and thinks its a scam when in reality I think it is a precedural issue there.
If I need help in the future I can honestly say that I would go to consumer 1st law group again.
