Complaint

Country: United States
I got a call on my cell phone regarding credit card debt relief. . I was transferred to nakisha,  asked if I wanted to continue, they asked for $600 or $60.00 to send me the paperwork and for the consultation. When I asked them what it was for she said they would deduct from my first payment but would not tell me what the money was for FINALLY SHE  said yes.

THE FIRST TIME THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD APPLY TO MY CREDITORS BUT WHEN THEY CONVINCED ME TO RECORD MY VOICE THAN THEY SAID IT WAS ONLY A FEE FOR THE CONSULTATION!!!

. No fees should be sent to anyone for additional information requested on a company or program

she has been harrasing me telling that i have to pay this amount or else! and that they can take me to court becaues they have my voice accepting!! !  unfortunally i gave many personal information!!
what happends now??
i never signed anything!!!!

As stated in the other messages I am rescinding on this blog because Anthony was the one who called me many of times this week and fixed the situation and apologized and went way out of his way to solve my issues and he refunded my money and I have the refund today.  Thank you Anthony at Consumer 1st Law Group :)

I did get my refund today and Anthony Blackwell was the one that went above and beyond to help me out. I said I would post it if I actually got my money back. I was in limbo for a while but when I got through to Anthony he was quick to help me out and return the money.  Thanks :)

I did get my refund today so I have to rescind on the negative things I assumed and stated.  I believed I was being taken for when no one would call me but I was able to get in contact with Anthony and from there is was 100% better experience.

    Help Us!!!
My husband and I are being sought by Consumer Law Group right now.  Anthony Martinez has been the person I have spoken to thus far.  I am nevous about trusting anyone at this point.  Can some please let me know if this is a trust worthy company.  Mr. Martinez is a fast talking person that sound like he just wants to make a sell.  I don't have extra money to just throw away as my husband and I are hanging onto our house right now with a shoe string.  They are asking for $3500 and they can help get our house remood.  We have been trying for 2 1/2 years to do this through EMC/Chase mortgage and have had more run around then I can even begin to share.  Any true information would be greatly appriciated.

    Best,

Find out if its a real law firm. Let the guy know that you have concerns and ask for the attorney's name and ask to speak to him/her. If they aren't willing to let you speak to the attorney then chances are they aren't legit. If the person you're speaking to can't understand your hesitance in handing over $3500 then I wouldn't do business with them regardless lol

I did work with that law group and I can tell you that you should honestly file bankruptcy chapter 13 - it immediately stops the foreclosure on your house and you are not out the money they will scam you with.  Dont pay them any money they are unable to do a modification even though they will tell you they can.  Only your bank can do the modification so dont send the money.  Check out your options locally.  Sending the money will only make you out the money and lose your home.  Check into the bankruptcy in your area and it to do that is half the cost of what they want to charge you and you see in 3-5 days the foreclosure is instantly stopped.  When you call the Consumer 1st Law Group they answer the phone just saying Law Group. There are many red flags with them.

If you read all of these blogs and you honestly still don't know if you should go with the company or not then I don't know what information would help you.  It seems that all the good messages out here are employees and the ones that are negative are the ones I am thinking you should be reading and paying attention because what do they have to lose by telling you not to get scammed like them.  Go with your gut instinct and check out your options.

    Good Luck!

We were recently contacted by a Patrick O'Brien (NJ), who wanted $2600 to help us with our mortgage. The first thing he did was give me a different (higher) figure than he had given my husband in regard to the mortgage reduction.  When I balked, he said they could only "do so much." I also told him that my state's website says not to pay anyone for this service & he said it's not a payment, it's a retainer, blah, blah, blah. I said, "Yes, that's how you get around it."  And when I began to question him regarding what I've read online about Consumer First Law Group & Attorney Blackwell, he got a serious attitude & ended up hanging up on me. When I called back (just because I was annoyed), he had said I was "rude" & insisted he hadn't hung up on me. (I'm not sure what he calls it, but that's what *I* call it when someone hangs up before I've said "good-by.")  I had also told him we were consulting our own attorney & he said "maybe [my] attorney didn't have the "relationship" with the bank that Mr. Blackwell does & also that he didn't want to do business with me.  Fine with me.  I don't want to do business with anyone who gets that ridiculous over my questioning their practices.  If they're getting that angry, there must be something wrong.

My wife and I lost our house thanks to the losers at Consumer1st Law, they took $3800 from us and did nothing.  We reported them to FTC and the lady there said there has been many complaints for that company in Woodbury New York.  KEEP YOUR HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T TRUST THEM AND IF YOU DID REPORT THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in their debt management program, and have been for the past 2 1/2 yrs now. I haven't had any problems so far. I have the monthly $49 that goes to them as their fee and then they withdraw an amount out to pay to my credit cards. When I signed up for the program I was told that they were set up in Penn. and they have an A+ rating with the BBB. I did check them out and it seemed to be true. The BBB had them listed as a A+. Like I said I haven't had any problems so far, but I have found out that the company that I have been dealing with is located in Bocca Reton, Fl. I don't like that they misled me to believe that the were someone who they are not. I have about a year and a half left of the program, they have been paying my accounts and the amounts owed are being reduced. I am pleased to see that and to know that they are paying off my accounts and not scamming me in that regard. I'm just a little worried now that I see all of these complaints and all of the issues that this company are having.

    Thank You
THANK YOU so much for the website we should use.  I was reading all of the complaints and I just cannot believe this company is still around.  I hope they are shut down and all charged.  Every employee that works there should be charged and made publish their names.  They are stealing from people and robbing them blind.  Thank You Thank You Thank You Awesomegirl56
