I've been getting a $16.95 charge to my Discover Credit Card for several months now.  I do not recall making any charges to any such service.  They say 'membership' when I tried to call the number that shows up: 888-833-7279 and the voice recorded message says 'Thank you for calling membership services.  We are unavailable at this time.  Call back during business hours....'  This seems to be what I get regardless of the time I call.

The full information that shows up on my billing is:
WC *VALUE PLUS 888-833-7279 MN 89463225 12

In looking this up on the internet, I see that I am not alone in these type charges.  I also do not know how they got my information to make such charges.

I would like to cancel and have my money refunded.

    Hello, This service is something you secretly signed up for when you purchased something off the internet. I called that number with my accountant on the phone with me. We talked to a Nancy and she said she helped but really didn't. After 4 weeks of not geting my refund letter to fill out I called back by myself. I talked to a  MARIA!!! and she sent me the form. I received it in the mail 4 days later, and received all of my money back. Nearly $400. MARIA said if you fill out the form you will receive your full amount back.

    I am another person that wc value plus is taking money out of my credit card account. Can you tell me what to do, to get my money back?

    I am another victim of the WC Value bandit. I guess I am lucky, it was only $1.95 but after reading other people's complaints, I may get robbed in the future. What was the phone number you called to get Maria? I would love to talk to her. The only purchase I made recently was or the Snuggie. I thought I was buying 2 and they were going to send me 5 for $132 and there's no WAY I want to deal with them now. I will just buy one from Walgreen's. =D

    I would really appreciate the phone number since it was not on my banking info. :(

    Me too, on the way to being taken for a ride! Encore Marketing put 16.95, 16.95, 1.95, 1.95 for MAR and APR "welcoming me " as a new member of both Easy Saver and American Leisure which I never asked to become. In their letters I just got today, 4/27/09, they said my billing date is 4/22/09. I am as pi---- off as you folks are of so many scams go on. My $ amounts are small, and the time is a bear.  But I will stick with as you are, to stop these bast-rds. I will work with my bank and my credit card and Fraud unit if need be.

    I too was ripped off. My b/f and I called to order tri banjo minnow lures. We only wanted 1 set, for $19.95 next thing I know I got 2 sets and charged for 2...talk about gettin taken hook, line, and sinker. As if that wasn't bad enough the next month I get charged 19.95 from WC Value Plus. We never agreed to whatever this. I called them to see where they got my acct. info and they said through the fishing lure order. I had to cancel my card to ensure this doesn't happed again. How is it these people can get away with this? I am so upset with these deceptive practices its not funny. Talk abou the American people being nickle and dimed to death.

    I am as pi---- off as everyone else. I ordered fishing lures and nothing else next thing I know I am being taken for another  $19.95 from WC Value. Talk about being taken hook, line and sinker. I called Tri Banjo Minnow and they told me they have nothing to do with WC Value. I called WC Value and they said I agreed to their services when I called for the fishing lures. I am so sick an tired of the American people being nickle and dimed to death...lol I even emailed Dr. Phil. Thanks for your in put.

    Have the CC company issue you a new card and fill out a fraud statement to recover your money. You can go back 3 months to recover any money you did not authorize to be taken out of your acct. Don't wait to do this as WC Value will get another months worth of money out of you. Hope this helps.

    I ordered one set of fishing lures for my b/f got two sets. When I called they said we ordered two but I know better. As if that wern't bad enough they sent my info to WC Value and I was charged another $19.95. So you might say I was taken hook, line and sinker.It should be illegal for companies to do this. From now on I'm with you, if I want something I will not order it on the internet or off the TV infomercials. I canceled my card as soon as it hit my checking acct. so they couldn't take any more money out. What a rip off. Thanks for your input.

    I am glad that I read your complaint on this board. Thank you for providing the number. they have been charging my fiance's account and now I am going to get it taken care of because they put our account in the negative.

    I have also received charges from this company as well as Today's Escape Plus, and ID Sentinel Alert that went straight to the checking account for services neither asked nor received. Not sure which purchase gave the card's information to them. I also had trouble with them verifying my account despite giving them the number again. Figured it can't hurt if they already have the number. Extra shady.

    My 75yr old mother just bought a Shark Sweeper and now has a 19.95 additional chage from this WC Value Plus. Plus a 24.94 charge. Where do you start and how do you end this bull!  Trying to help my parents from Vultures and Scams!

    the same happened to me,

    i ended up making a purchase online not knowing that attached was a membership. i was charged 16.95 per month sense Feb of 2009 until now. i called the company and they said that i had to wait until i get my refund form to submit the request.

    cancel the credit card, its the fastest way to get the charge out of your account.

    Rewards". Please ensure that the initial charge is reversed promptly.

    I too had the 16.95 charge called seven times, spoke to a human one time. I was told they will take me off the membership (which like everyone here never signed on to begin with) and I could go to:www.programstop.com and complete the form to stop membership there as well, & there would be a link to claim a refund. Well that link is a joke been there 5 times it always gives me a message that the link is not working. I have filed a complaint with the NY attorney general, 2 months and no response from them.

    I've been having the problems as above.  I thought this was for something entirely different so I really didn't look into it until my husband questioned it.  Turns out they've been taking the same amount out every month, and as far as I can tell so far, it's been since the beginning of October 2007.
