I've been getting a $16.95 charge to my Discover Credit Card for several months now.  I do not recall making any charges to any such service.  They say 'membership' when I tried to call the number that shows up: 888-833-7279 and the voice recorded message says 'Thank you for calling membership services.  We are unavailable at this time.  Call back during business hours....'  This seems to be what I get regardless of the time I call.

The full information that shows up on my billing is:
WC *VALUE PLUS 888-833-7279 MN 89463225 12

In looking this up on the internet, I see that I am not alone in these type charges.  I also do not know how they got my information to make such charges.

I would like to cancel and have my money refunded.

    I do not understand why I am being charged by this "Club Membership
    Rewards". Please ensure that the initial charge is reversed promptly.

    I too had the 16.95 charge called seven times, spoke to a human one time. I was told they will take me off the membership (which like everyone here never signed on to begin with) and I could go to:www.programstop.com and complete the form to stop membership there as well, & there would be a link to claim a refund. Well that link is a joke been there 5 times it always gives me a message that the link is not working. I have filed a complaint with the NY attorney general, 2 months and no response from them.

    I've been having the problems as above.  I thought this was for something entirely different so I really didn't look into it until my husband questioned it.  Turns out they've been taking the same amount out every month, and as far as I can tell so far, it's been since the beginning of October 2007.

    After you mailed off the refund request form, did Valuplus ever refund you the full $300 back to you? This company is giving me the run-around sending me a letter saying that they will not refund back one cent even when I did not purchase or agree to be their member. I've been suckered for $300 also. damn them to hell and back!!

    Just this month I went in to the bank to make a deposit to my checking account and it was in the negative due to a card transaction that had posted that day.  The bank gave me a phone # for WC value plus.  I spoke to a woman there who informed me I had been charged more than once.  No idea of how we were charged because neither my husband or I subscribed to this.  The only thing we can figure happened was that my husband ordered a Kevin Tredeau book and we began getting charged for this a month later. They charged $24.95 each month for the past 4 months that we were unaware of.  I had to cancel my debit card.  We were assured that we would get a form to fill out to get our $ back, but got a letter that we are not eligible for a refund.  We have to send the form back and ask them to check into it.  They better give our $ back, and if not, I will report them to the Better Business Bureau.

    I/ve been scamed
    who are these people?  I did not authorized anyone to withdraw any of my funds.....I will contact my bank, this has to stop.  They took out $16.95 2xs in one day. How they got my aaccount information and mailing address is strange.  Is there any govenment agency or help that I can turn to?

    I just noticed on my account that they have been taking out 19.95 every month since april of 2008. i called and they said they canceled my membership and would be sending a paper in the mail to request a refund. it comes out to 399.00 that they have taken from me! if they dont give me a full refund i will get my lawyer and find out who they are and we could all have a law suit against them and receive a lot of money!!!!

    YES I would definitely like to see these RIP OFF artists closed indefinitely!! I really would like to see them go to jail! I told them that I don't know how they SLEEP at night. I also told the two woment that I spoke with that I feel sorry for them, how could they work for people that rip innocent people off!! I am a single Mom who lives on a limited income and I could kick myself for not noticing these charges sooner! I said that I was going to contact everyone I can, "Dateline" or anybody else that I could think of about how they steal!! I'm sick about it and mad as HELL! They said that they will refund all 12 of my charges, I'll believe THAT WHEN I SEE IT!!
    They should be ashamed!! But obviously are not!!
    Did you ever get any of your money back from THEM?

    Also had $24.95 charged to my Visa card. Don't know who these people are and sure as hell didn't charge anything. Telephone # on my statement is 888-833-7279 MN, I'm assuming they are in Minnesota.

    The same has happened to me.  It looks like this shady company has been running this scam for a while now considering it is 2010 and still happening. Does anyone know how they are getting credit card information?

    Thank you so very much for all of the info that has been posted on this board.  My mom and I share a joint account as I have been monitoring why she seems to overdraw monthly.  I see this Easy Saver, VCPlus and Budget Savers.  With all of the numbers mentioned on this board.

    Now I can combat these charges and hopefully receive a refund, my mom tried to stop thru the bank and was assured that it should not happen... operative work here "should" and then the following months more debits and even multiple debits happen on the same day.  Talk about overkill.

    Well I just wanted to thank you for the tools to fight this debitor.

    i believe it is when you order an item off of the TV or internet the company enters you into a membership scam.

    my mother is known for ordering items on the phone or net; but is reluctant to join a membership after her last marriage to the BBB trying to remove herself from the company whose membership she received.

    just noticed recently that I have been charged 19.95 on to my credit card.  I googled the phone number and found this site.  Thank GOD!  I called 888-833-7279 and evidently I purchased something over the phone back in feb 2009 and have been charged 19.95 since March 2010!!!!! I can't believe i never noticed it before.  The 19.95 is for access to a web site that offers discounts on groceries, leisure etc. total junk.

    and reference your membership number, the rep can give it to you.  

    Membership services can provide you with the the company that originally sold you the item, and a written transcript of the telephone conversation where you "approved" the trial membership.  The rep continued with "you had to of contacted us within 30 days of your trial membership to cancel.  We do not send any reminders and the automatic charges begin until you contact us to discontinue the services."  

    oh this is so total bs.  They basically swindle you, legally.

    and in error I typed i have been getting charged since March 2010 and it is since MARCH 2009. ONE WHOLE YEARS WORTH.

    this sucks.

    So I called the number that has been charging me :

    Turns out they not only didn't have my name on file or any of my other personal information, but when they looked it by what account they were charging they told me that I had a co-signer on the account (completely not true) and couldn't do anything for me without having the co-signers information. They told me I had to have my bank call them.

    Forget that! I called my bank and had to have the card cancelled and to file claims against the false charges. Scammers are so annoying!

    As I see it you are lucky, They have withdwawn 24.95 from my account for the last three months without my consent. I thought that was against the LAW. I called the company and they said it would be stopped. Just what is Value Plus? Just a ripoff. Why don't the goverment stop this practice?

    I just recieved my letter to claim my $50, I called the number 1-800-475-1942 and the lady on the phone said I was not in the system? I tolded her that I have to be because I have the letter in my hand; and I needed to know when the 30 days will be up! she said she didn't know and she was sending the info to a higher office.  Then I decided to look up on this wedsite and this is what I see, everyone complaining about Value Plus, so I called the number 1-800-475-1942 and spoke to a James, I told him to cancel because I don't know when it started, he gave me a conf number, so I will see if there is a cancelation. I feel that the 30 days should start from the day it was sent, the envelope does not have a date on it so I am starting it today.  To bad we couldn't get the website before we agree to this, we could have elimated the withdrawals in your accounts in the first place?! Good Luck, hope all of you get your money back! and I hope they canceled mine too!
