Service provided is not as offered.  Numerous variables in using the service.  They are not a phone company provider and they neglect to tell you you must also have an account or sign of with the telephone service provider.
They issue "local phone numbers" for use with inmates.  I canceled and they have yet to refund $18.00 they owe me.  They emailed me some bogus remittance slip and the refund has yet to be returned to my account.  They kept $25.00 of the initial sign up costs.

    Signed up for the service 3 agents told me that i will get a local number which is an Indian trace number. Then i was going to get 200 minutes and that PCS was only gonna charge me a connection fee which is $1-$3. And PCS was not going to charge me per minute they LIED!!!! Lucky for me a recorded every conversation I ever had with the company told them i wanted a refund still didnt get it yet!!!!! Everyday its something different They are charging you all this money and all you have to do is change your cellphone number for free to the local area. So i am looking into filing a complaint for misinformation. You cant lie to customers!!! I have a customer service background thats why i recorded the conversation. Once i get the ball rolling on this CON ARTIST Company i will send everyone the mail info. If anyone gets it rolling before me plz contact me ASAP

    I recently received a collection letter from a company "I.C. System Inc."
    Not knowing who they were, so I began to read, could not even tell by the very uninformative letter & absolutely no way to tell who they really are, or what it is over; the only thing that was clear is they are threatening me over $105.68,  My x-husband is incarcerated in the state of Wyoming, and a year or more ago we set this account up for him to be able to call home & speak with his grown sons and grandchildren. It was wonderful for awhile, no problems until the prison "blocked" the calls so you would have to use their lines for whatever reason, I thought that it could be for security reasons or maybe the almighty dollar, anyway we had no choice but to stop using it.  
    In late September I received a phone call from a young man at "Cons Call Home" wanting me to Renew; I nicely explained to him that we were not going to, as the prison blocked it and has not been used in many months, he then asked me to hold and he verified that it was indeed true, but he still went on & on trying very hard to get me to renew; I finally told him that it was stupid to pay for a dead horse, he had no interest what soever in trying to resolve the problem, He was extremely insistant that I renew and I basically told him that our conversation was over.
    Next I recieve a letter from what I thought was a collection company;
    I.C. System, Inc. It was very, very unprofessional & extremely uninformative, basically telling me that I owe them $105.68, And I don't have a clue who "them" even is or what this is supposed to be for. Its obvious to me now that the salesperson did not take my NO for an answer & I am being threatened by IC System,INC that it will go to collection.
    Who Runs a Business Like That?? Fortunately for me the inmate that we set up the service for happens to have lots of money, can verify everything I have said & has the most prestigious law firm in Wyoming on retainer.

    I have been waiting since February for my refund. they are a rip-off if anyone hears of a lawsuit count me in! Jason the manager keep putting me off.

    I must say that I am with you, i have been waiting on a refund for over 7 months, I called them today and they said they have to put it back on the same cc which was a prepaid card, they offered to mail me a check and now they say that can't do that.  What do i need to do to help with this lawsuit?

    Wow, don't know what to say. I got a "local" number so my hubby could call me without paying $3.50 for a 15min call. It worked for me, I pay $142.00 per year and my honey paids only .99 cents per call (yes, 15 min call). I recommended the service to my in-laws and the service is good for them.

    It's A Scam
    I signed up for Cons Call Home on the 26th of December and was told that whatever plan I went with the minutes would roll over and I can make payments when I've run out of minutes, so I chose the 1000 minutes. This made sense because with processing (limited calls), transfers, and jail credits unknown there was no way of knowing what would happen. Plus the customer rep assured me that this was the "best" choice for my situation. Today I'm sitting here with over 300 minutes left in my account that I cannot use unless I pay $46.00!!!! Before today No One informed me about having to pay this amount before I was out of minutes and no one informed me that my fiance' can't call me until that payment has been made. Now my account is on hold without warning. I will definitely cancel this [***]. It's a SCAM. They lie about EVERYTHING!! If you're considering ConsCallHome RUN the other way & change your number through your wireless provider instead!!!

    OMGsh I was told by my man in jail to look this place up for the number so I could receive cheap calls on my cell! Good thing you people have posted this I will not be using Conscallhome.com! I'm a single mother and can not afford to be screwed! I'm doing good to do what I do for my loved one in jail! Thanks u all!

    I cannot believe this company.  A week ago, I found CONS CALL HOME on google. I have a family member that is in jail and I initially was using GLOBAL TEL* who is the phone provider for prepaid accounts with this jail facility... When I called Cons Call Home and spoke to Chris (18885246151 x519) he told me that he could give me a local number to the jail so that it would cost me $1-$2 per collect call as apposed to the $4 per collect call that Global Tel was charging me. He said that I would pay a one-time fee of $20 and the service would be $39.99 per month for 1,000 minutes/2 collect calls per day and at $1-$2 per call. Sounds great right? Wrong! I realized after a couple of collect calls that my balance kept decreasing by $4 every time I received a collect call... There was no difference WHAT SO EVER in the price that Global Tel was charging me and what Cons call home was charging me!! So what's the point?? I just got flat out ripped off. Oh wait, let me not forget to mention that NOT ONLY did I pay a total of $60 to Cons Call Home, but I also STILL had to put money into my Global Tel* account to even make this whole thing work. OK, So Chris tells me that he'd call me in a week to see if this is working out for me...He never called. I literally just called him 10 minutes ago or so and explained to him how this is not doing anything for me and he said, "oh yeah then you should cancel." So I asked him if I could cancel and he said that I'm A DAY too late. Really? So I told him, "wait, you're supposed to call me and you never did" and he says, "well, I was going to call you in 23 minutes". So, if I really am a day too late, why would you call me a day too late to cancel??? Because they set it up that way so it's too late to get your money back. jerks! What scumbags!! You reap what you sow. So keep ripping people off and [***] will come right back to you in other ways... GET A REAL JOB!!! Oh and I will be posting this on my facebook account and every way I can. I'm calling my state Attorney General, Get Jesse, and the Better Business Bureau...What's right is right, but what's wrong is wrong..and this is WRONG!!!

    i also got taken for 254,50 dollars by conscallhome. they keep telling me that they are going to send me my money its been four months now i keep calling only to get the same answer. where dose it end and when will someone take action to stop them from takeing peoples money? i turn mine over to better bussness and now its wait and see what happens.

    OMG, I'M STUNNED HERE !! I've been with conscallhome and they charged me for 105,90 for international calls every month !!
    I'm not living in the USA right now. They deducted all of a sudden a monthly payment from my card.
    Now i get the nasty feeling that I won't ever get my money back !! i too, call and call and they even put me on hold where later they just cancel the call with me.
    I'm going to my lawyer for i want my money back. I was told that i had to pay $105,90 per month for international calls with my hubby who is in prison. and here i found another provider who charges HALF of what i payed to conscallhome !!!!!
    Now i realize i've been ripped off big time. this is outrageous !!! and i'm thankfull to know and have read that i can go to the Better Business Bureau.
    This should NOT continue. I'm a mom too and i am very much on a budget. It is like they do this on purpose cause they know we are desperate to connect at a cheap rate with our husbands in prison.
    I've had it with them !! But i'm gonna get to the bottom of this. I would love to take this business down.
    Conscallhome is a piece of scum. A bunch of frauds !!

    I signed up fpr this last week, i didnt even use the fake number they gave me. it took them less then five seconds to takre the money out and now they are telling me that i have to wait 5-7 weeks and everything is done manually. i find it hard to believe that everything is done manually in this day and age. refunds take seconds to go back into an account the only thing that should take time is the bank processing not the actual refund.They keep saying there is no supervisor, what kind of crap is that? i have checked with the BBB and they rated a D...this is pathetic they owe me 235.00 who are they to just steal money from there trusting customers? They also tell me to read the terms and conditions they say nothing about it taking 5-7 weeks to refund your money.
