Some times they will give you an 800 (free) number to call them back. When you do they say "I'm sorry that number is no longer valid", then they give you a 900 number to connect. Watch out for that one! 900 numbers can be charged back to your phone at absolutly obscene rates. You will have to fight with your phone provider to eliminate these charges. Beware!

    Sick of these calls
I just got a call from them. Since I have been getting these calls for the past year, and I am on the do not call list, I decided to press one to speak to a "friendly" represntive. Once someone answered, I asked politley to be removed from the list. I was then hung up on.

First persistent and constant phone calls to my home phone re reducing my cc rate - I don't have credit cards.

Now, persistent and constant phone calls to my cell phone - how on earth they got they number I don't know.

I have tried pushing one and asking to be taken off the call list.   Have also tried threatening with Wisconsin ATtorney General as we are no-call state.  But they will not give me any accurate information so I can't report them.

Calls frequently several times a day for many days in a row!!!

Today the cell!!! Will this ever go away??? We all get the same treatment from them and they seem to have their scam down. What is really scarey is how big they've grown and how many households they've impacted. I have no doubt some agency will eventually kill them off. We'd all like fling open the door and Uzzy them (kidding-sort of). I am filling a complaint with the NY state Attorney, FTC and FCC because we really need to get their attention. The guy I talked to at the NYS AG didn't know what I was talking about.

These clowns keep calling and I keep asking them to stop time and time again.  Finally I decided to accept and press 1 in order to speak to someone about "lowering my interest on credit card payments".  I get this guy on the phone he goes through his pitch about lowering my credit card payment.  I let him get into his pitch and then asked how he got my number.  He stated he got the number from calling list of people who have good payment history.  (At this point I play along but wonder why he would call if I make my payments on time, but whatever).  I then tell him I'm curious as to why you would call me if my number has been on a do not call list?  Without missing a beat he goes on about lowering my credit card interest rates.  I stop him dead in his tracks and explain to him I'm not interested in his services.  When he asked, "so you were just wasting my time, and you're not interested?"  I snapped back with, "yes I wasting your time like have been wasting mine at work".  This guy goes on to explain he is a vet and is trying to make a living with two kids at home.  I flat out told him I don't care what you personal problems are and to take me off your calling list.  I then explained we wouldn't be having this conversation if you had respected my privacy and stopped calling like I have asked several times before.  For the next several minutes he tells me this sob story of himself being a wounded vet from Iraq, how he has lost a limb, and that I'm a bad American for not caring and hung up the phone.  I realize this is his job but maybe they would be a little more productive not call people on DO NOT CALL list.

Heard this one?  Hi, my name is Rachael, calling from card services..............  HOW do I get them tos top calling me?  I have waited for a human operator and have continuously told them to stop.  Can you recommend a website where I can effectively report this?

I have received the same calls on my cell phone. The caller number on my caller ID is (206)214-5578. The caller identifies herself as Rachael with Card Member Services. She says she is calling about my credit card account, and that there is no problem with the account. I usually hang up at this point, because what they are fishing for is a yes answer and they will send you a credit card. I called the number back and got the mail box of a Mike Anderson, but the box is full. I am in the process of reporting them.

Thanks for the information about Ambrosia Web Design!!! I have asked this company no less than 8 times to stop calling me. If you call the numbers below you get a person that does not hang up when you start to question them. Hopefully this will stop their annoying calls. Great info! Thanks again!

I have received at least 25 calls from "CARD MEMBER SERVICES" from many different phone numbers saying that they can lower my interest rate to 6% on ALL of my credit cards! But, they can't tell me any information until they have one of my CC#'s... I hung up the first time they called and always send them to VM to see if they will leave a message and OF COURSE THEY DON'T!! I just got a call from a DENVER# 303.217.1074 that I answered and when I heard it was CARD MEMBER SERVICES I hung up but, did a Reverse # lookup and it goes to MIKE ANDERSON in DENVER Business District but, his VM is FULL!!! Go Figure!!
I called my credit card company and they said this IS A SCAM!!! This is other info my CC Company told me .... Don't give them any information!!! IF they DO get you to give them your CC# they will bill your card $400-$500 for the service and THEN TELL YOU... OH SORRY, I won't be able to lower your interest rate!!!

Unless it is your CC card company calling you to lower your rate, IT IS A SCAM!! Even then you should still investigate and make them give you your information, DO NOT SUPPLY them with ANY information!

My message is card member services calling about my cc and to lower my payments and interest rates. I only have one card and no interest rate on that at all along with no payments. Never use it only for emergency! Have been getting these calls for several months now with a different # each time. This time I decided to have them remove me from their list and hit 1. My answer from them was (a man answered phone after second ring not even put on hold) Man states "thank you very much" then hung up on me I never even had a chance to say anything. Now I am really concerned since this statement. the phone # is 1-407-702-0538

I am got so tired of these calls.  I purchased a loud volume whistle to keep by my phone.  When they call push 1 to speak to a rep. and then blow the whistle as long as you can.  Maybe damage some eardrums.  My husband is recovering from cancer and I do not need these calls.

I called the number Sandy provided, like an idiot I listened to them, gave my phone number, they said they would have the number removed.  When I asked who and where I was calling they hung up on me.  It is probably the same company that originally called.  Hopefully they cannot do something with my number.
