Contacted FCC and they know of Card Member Services scams but they do not have any jurisdiction in this regard (which I disagree with) and suggested I contact the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). Don't your love our bureaucracy. I might suggest that as a starter that interest persons go on internet and fill out and submit the online FTC complaint form. As an aside, FCC said that FTC probably will not do much about this and that we should all contact our individual State Attorney General. Our Bureaucrats are making big money yet they sometimes do not seem to want to get involved with causes/problems that will not get them headlines. If anybody really wants to have fun, try filing a pro-se (no attorney needed) class action suit in your state and/or in your Federal Court. They will usually assist you in preparing the complaint but you will have to pay the filing fees. FYI: Violations of the do call laws can be fined $500 per call and if you file a RICO complaint the damages can be are tripled. Disclosure: I am an older retired inactive attorney licensed in two states plus the District to Columbia
Hello Jaybee, For us, “cardholder services” calls have stopped dead for the longest period ever, since all this crap began, which is great! Seems to have been the result of one, or a combination of a couple of things. We would like to get an attorneys, and even better, a retired attorneys viewpoint on how to get the info to the Consumer, while not jinxing the peaceful quiet, and get more useful info from “the horses mouth”, so to speak. More flies caught with less vinegar- those very close and knowledgeable, or [previously?] involved with the robo-calls. PM contact.
I am called daily on my work line--which interferes with my work. I have asked for supervisors...click-they hang up. I have asked for corporate #--got 1-800-421-2236....which denies being affiliated with them and says the # has been changed...then proceeds to try and sell me a rebate for something or the other. I have tried the web design # listed elsewhere in these post....deny, deny, deny. Has anyone had any luck with tracking these bums??

Ask your Congressmen to start a Congressional investigation of the incompetent and ineffectual FTC employees who are supposed to be enforcing the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. Maybe the FTC will wake up!

Mr. John
I have received calls from Cardmember Services. They won't disclose any info about their company, not even a phone number. Solution: Dial *69. Get the number they are calling from and report them to DoNotCall.gov They will get a $2,000 fine

I too have been continually harrassed by this company. When you do a reverse phone look up, the number comes up as either a cell phone number or a disconnected cell phone number. This tells me they are criminals. Today, 07/23/2012 I talked to a fellow, rather a rude and nasty fellow, and he wanted to do everything over the phone. Refused to email me any kind of documentation and became beligerant when I asked to be on a do not call list. I have contacted my states department of regulatory agencies and I am also contacting the state DA's office. I am glad that Bob posted the phone number for the FTC and will call them as well. There may be another avenue to take, but I agree that this is nothing but a scam. I have at least 6 different phone numbers for these scammers. Irritating.

I also have gotten loads of call, tried to get off the list, gotten hung up on numerous times, etc. On the third call of today,I pressed one and was going to talk to someone. I said hello and waited. The woman asked me what I wanted. I told her she had called me. She said "I don't think so." She hung up. These people are disgusting.

I have been receiving these calls for too long as well. I got one today & called back the phone number that had shown up on my caller ID - got a recording if I was calling to request being added to their no call list to push "1". Said it may take up to 48 hours to go into effect. I had tried calling in the past & got no one to answer. Maybe Card Member Services is getting enough complaints they are playing a little nicer. Hope this works & helps someone else. BTW - the number I rec'd a call from was 360-474-3977.

I am sick to death of these people calling 2 to 3 times a day it is boardering on harassment!! I am on the national do not call list and they still continue to harass me every day. I have tried pushing #3 to remove me from thier list many times and spoke with a whole host of thier reps for removal. They have left me no other option but to contact the better buisness agency!!!

Tired of calls
I called the FTC and filed my complaint against "Card Member Services". FTC also suggested that I call my state consumer complaint hotline and FTC even provided that number to me. the state hotline said this is an international scam and the calls are not even coming from the USA. The state hotline person said the only and best thing to do is to not answer the call or to immediately hang up. DO NOT TALK TO THESE PEOPLE AT ALL. ps - i was told to "play in traffic"

They use Pacific Telecom communications for all the different phone numbers they use. I get calls daily and recently started getting calls from different phone numbers, and have gotten a person on the line and informed them to stop calling me. I have been yelled at for wasting their time. I was informed by Attorney General in South Carolina that just because they have a prefix for a certain area, it does not mean they are calling from that state. Since the company can't be tracked down for sure, I filed a complaint with the Attorney General of California against Pacific Telecom Communications. The one that supplies the phone numbers for Card Member Services. Hope this helps.

I too have been getting 3 to 5 calls a week from these lowlife scumbags. I have been polite, mean and angrier than I care to admit. Today they started giving my number to other people telling them that I could take them off the list. Beware of engaging these dirtbags. If anyone here thinks these idiots are just trying to make a living and trying to eat you could not be more wrong IT IS A SCAM. As soon as you hear Rachel hang, no response should make for fewer calls, do not push any numbers as this just tells them they have a valid number. If I could scream this from the mountain tops I would.

Guys, this is not a legitimate business. They are in India, first starting to explore the credit card number, then asking for your last 4 digits of the Social security number and lastly the zip code where your card is billed. That is all they need to access your credit card account and reset the password. Mastercard or Visa would not use these kind of calls. They would mail you to call them back. Do not give anybody details about your card, they will not lower your interest, the will charge your card.

Me too.
Call your phone company and ask hem to trace the calls.
Go to your local police station and file a police report.
File a complaint at donotcall.gov EACH TIME they call. Write down the (bogus) phone number on the caller ID, and the time and date, as well as what they said, etc.
If your local police won't handle the report, contact your state police, or the FBI about it.

The calls have been coming since last year-sometimes 2 times a day. I figure if I am going to be assaulted by them they will be assaulted by my language. I let loose with it and the last guy told me he has seen my face. I asked him where and he said "on my d...". Many of these people have called me names and swore at me also. I didn't make a call to them so I can treat them any way I want. My life is very stressful so they are giving me an outlet.

I have been receiving between 2-5 calls a day every freaking day for over a year. I am so frustrated with these people. The number changes like every week. When I try to call back it always says that I have reached a number that is not in service. I have started B.S. on the phone with them, to make them think that I was their services. Then tell them, hey you are wasting my time so I am just wasting yours. Wish I knew how to get them to stop.

Promises to stop the calls are a waste of time; these people are incorrigible, they will not stop. I explained to one caller that I work nights, and not only do I not wish to use their services, but they keep waking me up with their relentless calls.
The man had the nerve to call back and tell me that I should take medication to help me sleep, then told me that "they are everywhere, and there is no way that I can stop them."

Rachael from credit card services is actually Chris Ambrosia - 1-888-583-1956 Ambrosia Website Design/ They also go by CAM 1-800-525-2956. I have personally spoken to someone today at each of these numbers. They will automatically deny that they are who you are looking for, but after giving them a good cursing when you call back 2 minutes later, you will receive a message saying that each of these is a non-working number. Give THEM HELL WHILE YOU HAVE THEM ON THE PHONE BEFORE THEY HANG UP ON YOU. ALSO I AM GOING TOMORROW AND BUYING ME AN AIR HORN. Every time I get one of these calls I am going to press the number to speak to someone and as soon as they get on the phone I am going to let them have it. If we ALL INVEST A FEW BUCKS IN AN AIR HORN I THINK WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. AND OH WHAT FUN IT WILL BE TO BUST THEIR EAR DRUMS. HAPPY HORN TOOTING.
