Somebody,(Margarite) phone number 901-248-7430, called me up and directed me to press number 1 to reach the company for credit card rate reduction. Upon doing so they requested if I had over $5,000.00 in debt and they wanted my credit card number to verify the debt. I requested their first and last name. The female speaking stated her name was Margarite but would not provide her last name. I attempt to find an address for the compant she refused to tell me then directed me to her supervisor "Ronald James". He again advised me he would lower my debt and requested my credit card number. I again requested as to the address of his company he stated Tallahasse Florida, but wouldn't not provide me with a street address. When I advised him I would look him up on the federal system because I felt he was trying to perpetrate a scam he stated "don't call this a scam and I'm going to hang up". I looked up the company "Account Services" on the internet and it advised of scam warnings. I said the internet site indicates you company is involed in scams. He stated "this is not a scam", I replied it sure appears that way; he stated "shutup" and hung up the phone.

This makes me sick.  I have been getting same calls as everyone here has been writing about.  I ususally get hung up on soon as I request removal from call list.  Don't even get 2 words out sometimes.  I Hate these people.  I pray I never find one of them or where these call centers are.  They will not give out any information, and they want all the information you can provide.  I have reported them at least 20 times to the do not call registry complaint form on donotcall.gov.  I get calls from these numbers all times of the day, all different area codes and numbers.   I get charged 10 cents everytime they call me and they call at least 4 times a week, sometimes twice a day.  I know this posting is futile but I hope some agency, someone, something shuts these people down.

Here's my revenge.  String them along.  Ask to talk to a supervisor.  Act old and slow.  Use up their time.  There's no getting rid of them so all you can do is use up their cell phone minutes.  The gal i talked to today was very concerned that our call was taking too much time.  I kept her going until she finally hung up on me.  Tee Hee.  Can't wait for the next call.  Always press one if you have the time and want some fun.

Got a call last night from them.  I asked the live person that answered after I pressed "1" to take me off their calling list.  The person just hung up.  This morning, I got another call, and played along with the live person for about 10 minutes.  I started asking a lot of questions about their company and where they are located, phone number, etc.  The lady finally said, "F*^$ You" and hung up on me.

I too am being harassed by these callers.  several times a week, they change the non-working phone # that shows up on caller ID at least every 2 weeks.  "Low Rate Services" most recently.  My son said to "troll" them.  So, when you get the live person on the line, tell them you have X (pick a big # like $45,000) in debt.  They'll ask at what interest rate? pick a #.  They'll "need to verify that at least 5,000 of it is being charged at least 15% in order to qualify for their services."  You say, oh I'll need to pull a couple of files to look that up, can you hold on for just a minute?  then set the phone down and walk away for awhile.  quite fun   Hopefully these operators will find someone reputable to get a pay check from some day.

I got the same message from 720-409-2532 for "Low Rate Services." I pressed 1 and asked "Valerie" for the name and information of the company she was calling from. She hung up. I am on a government DO NOT CALL list. This call was illegal.

After speaking to a kind woman at the FCC she informed me that companies like this that use different numbers every time they call are committing FRAUD, there for, are not concerned with the National Do Not Call Registry... Unfortunately, the only thing to do is report every number received. I receive multiple calls a week from numbers ranging from CA, MO, Denver, WA, and the list goes on including a call from SPAM.... Just keep reporting the numbers to FCC and file a harassment complaint with your local police department!

Well... they called the wrong person. I am actually an attorney and I have been getting calls from these people using a variety of different numbers. I am working with another law firm to sue them but we are having a really hard time finding out who they are. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

These are the numbers that have called me:
    (313)204-1037
    (513)417-0498
    (785)207-6317
    (949)374-5134

They hang up on me every time I try to gather information from them about their company or ask them to stop calling me. I am on the do not call list and they are calling my cell phone. Both violations of the law.

Also, the cell phones they are calling from are pre-paid phones provided by TracPhone. I have already lodged a complaint with TracPhone.

PLEASE TRY TO GET CONTACT INFO ON THESE PEOPLE AND PROVIDE ME WITH THE INFORMATION. We need it in order to sue. If you have been charged by them, look at your credit card statement and provide me with the contact information with the company. Call them and try to dispute it. When you call them back to dispute the charges, ask about the company. We need the name and address.

Let's teach these guys a lesson and get them to stop calling ALL of us!

Andrea must be a double agent working for the scam artists.

By soliciting how much info we have on the scammers, they could be trying to find ways to block us from getting information about them that we can use for prosecution...

So if you get solid evidence on these guys, take it to your police or FBI department and let Andrea know which cop or agent she can get it from.

Pretty crafty, eh?  Scamming to protect the scam.

Or she can just post the name of her law firm, and their phone number, so it can be verified through her state bar association.

These crooks have been doing this for years. I think this is a common scam with a lot of idependant creeps operating out of rat holes all across the country. All it takes to be in business is a phone and no moral caracter. Don't waste your time on these worthless fools, HANG UP. I have never been taken by these horses hinney's but it makes me sick that many people have. Rule number to not being scammed is, don't deal with any one that seeks you out....

JJKK-I received a call from a man with an Indian accent-he asked if I had excellent credit & if I did, I would get my rate lowered if I continued to make payments on time.  He wanted to verify the exp. date, which I told him.  Then I said-"you have my Citibank card number, right?  He said yes, THEN ASKED ME TO VERIFY THE MIDDLE 6 NUMBERS, I said NO! I hung up.

They call my cell phone anywhere from 1 to 5 times a day; almost always from a different number, sometimes even 000-000-0000.  The few times I've made the mistake of answering it without looking, it is the "Account Services" morons who I immediately hang up on.  Every now and then they'll even leave a voice mail, but that's fairly rare.

Working in IT, I know they are using an IP based phone system and software to spoof the caller ID so a different number appears on a regular basis.  Blocking them does no good because it will just change again in a day at most.  The software to do this can be downloaded following a simple search so it is not expensive or hard to do.  Since the calling is automated, just a few people can run this scam from the backroom of a house.  All they need is a computer, a few IP phones, and an Internet connection.

Got call from them today 401-480-9999.  After pressing one, trying to find out more info on them for IN attorney general,as I am on the "Do, Not Call" List.  I can the same story as most people above.  When I told them I am on the IN and Federal "Do Not Call" list, the guy said:  "If you do not  want these calls unplug your damn phone from the wall."  I receive these calls at least weekly for the last year.

I've been getting these calls for more than a year. I usually just hang up when they tell me to press 1 or 9 or whatever'. The other day I decided to have some fun with them. When the call reached the point where I was asked for my 16 digit card No., I told the person that my card was in my wallet and that i had to get it from another room. At that point I laid the phone down and proceeded to watch TV. After about 10 minutes, the guy hung up. I guess he figured that he had a fish on the hook because about a minute later he called back from a completely different no. in a different area code. I told him we must have been cut off. He again asked for my card No. to which I responded. "Do you really think I am going to give you my Credit Card No?"  I then told him that since he wasted 10 minutes of my time, I decided to waste 10 minutes of his time. At this point, he called me a [***] and then he called me a [***] [***].  My response to that was, "You're the guy trying to rip me off and when I call your bluff, you call me names." At this point he got so mad that he called me those names again and said that he was getting his Supervisor. I said, "bring him on". A Spanish lady came on and mumbled incoherently so I figured That I had had enough fun for 1 day and just hung up the phone.
