For months now, I've been getting several calls a week from "Rachel" about "lowering my credit card rates"  I called the WV better business bureau, and they said they'd been getting them too, no suggestions about how to stop it.

The calls come at least once a day. It seems impossible to file a complaint because they use false caller IDs.
I have made a game of wasting as much of their time as I can. Eventually they are on to me and immediately hang up. But, each time I lern more about how to keep them on the line as long as I can by seeing what response causes them to hang up.
Ifp anyone h. As an idea about getting this stopped, then do it. Perhaps the new Consumer Protection Agency can handle it.

I have received several of these robo calls , sometimes more than one a day . I looked up numbers of cLl centers and found one in particular I like to call and waste their time .it is a group called Voice Broadcasting Corp . A. Man called Jeff answers on the voice mail . I leave Jeff a long drawn out friendly  message just to call and say hello to waste his time and fill up his voicemail . His number is 1-800-231-5629 . Give Jeff a call just to pass the time of day and fill his voice mail up . May not stop the problem but it will give them a little of their own medecine .

    just call me spoofed
The numbers that call us are spoofed (spoofcard)or generated by some equipment and most chosen are not even in use at all. But caller ID and star-69 will go to what shows up.
(Prove it to Yourself by calling this number 610-797-0010 or 0011,0013,0014)
One of my last "rachel" calls was a number owned by sprint so I contacted sprint fraud dept and they said that number was definately in sprints number pool, but yet never used! So if you pick a number that you know isnt in service, youll get away with it all day without a trace.

I can only suspect that the FTC is sleeping on the job.

Phone On Hold Marketing Systems, Inc., is the company that is being investigated by the FTC for these robocalls. Peter J Turpel is associated with the company. The company phone number is 1-805-214-0927. Call and ask for Rachel, or Heather, or who ever called you!

This posting did cause a disturbance at our company, but sorry guys - We are not in this business of robo calling. Phone On Hold is not being investigated. I wish people would get thier facts straight before making accusations.

How's this for facts, co-defendants; Peter J. Turpel, and Joseph Turpel.

Both these scum-bags are listed at the FTC actions Nov 22, 2011 in connection with Sonkie Communications, Inc and Sonkie One. Click it and what comes up- That ass-wipe Roy Cox who was doing the fake auto warrany robo-call crap!!!
Is it a glitch?  Is it a mistake that they are connected??
Hmmm, "P. Turpel" insists "we are not in the business of robo-calling."
If your being SUED, then what the f are you in the business of doing?? Might it be somthing else criminal???  Jerk@@f

Peter Turpel also has a book on Amazon.  I think he needs some reviews.

wow, this is really sad. i am not in the business of robo calling and I look at the comments of people who really do not have have a real good command of the english language. Do you know what it feels like to be sued by the feds...who can print as much of your money as they want? it has cost me so far hiring a new person in our firm and and a year of college education for one of my kids. its is a terrible position to be in, and to have people like "coche" who has no facts.

i don't know who Roy Cox is, but i tell you we are not in the business of doing this. we have been in business since 1984 and we create professional audio for telecommuntication systems.

We have 15 employees and we pay all medical and are really a cool company....i don't know what the Rachel thing is. People stating stuff like this are simply like bullies in the school yard.

God Bless,  hope you find something else to contribute to. I have to spend cash to defend our company in an area that we do not participate.

Okay, I finally got a live person at the FTC. He took the complaint. I had documented all the calls for the last 4 weeks with the different phone numbers that "Rachel" had called from. They took all the numbers and the complaint and gave me a case number and also suggested I call the Atty General's Office which is my next step.
I highly recommend that anyone receiving these calls file complaints with the DNC registry and follow up with a consumer complaint phone call to the FTC. If we all continue to hang up and not report this nothing will be done. I don't know how many times I hung up the phone on these people until I finally had it. Something needs to be done.

On 12/5/2011 the US Dept of Justice filed an action on behalf of the FTC against Roy M. Cox, Jr of California alleging that he is responsible for all of the Rachael calls.  Google him and maybe give him a call or two.

I have been receiving call son my cell phone for months now with a recorded message "This is Rachel from Credit Card Services.....".  I tried many times to speak with an operator and politely ask them to remove me from their calling list, but they would disconnect immediately.

    I hate rachel
Just got a call from Rachel. Pushed 9 to speak to someone. Told them I didn't want them to call. The guy asked me "how big me t*ts were" "when was the last time I was f*cked in the *ss" and "how often I shaved my p*ssy. All before I could hang up.

I just received a call yesterday, of course i get them about 2 or 3 times a week. Nothing helps so I just kept them on the phone and gave them false name, false credit card number.
She then said she was going to put me on hold to call my credit card company to verify everything to start the process of lowering my credit card interest rate. But then she said she was having problems with her phone, if we got disconnected she would call me back.  Of course we got disconnected and she never called back.  She thinks she got a good card number to use and scam us.  HAHA.

If they call again I will do the same, Maybe they will get the message.

If not nex I will be a whistle.

I got the call yesterday and spoke to a man but I asked to speak to Rachel because she sounded cute.

By the way, I am male.

The man starting cursing and dropping the f-bomb and asked if I still thought he sounded cute.  I then began reminding him that he called me and must be interested.  He just got louder, and louder and more rude and foul.

I was having a blast with statements like "now don't be that way," "you sound kinda cute to me" and he just got wilder and wilder until he hung up.

    Good Times
