Received 3 calls from these guys from 559-328-2353 at my office claiming to be some kind of Official US Branch of Govt. Anyways I called them to see what this was all about, and they couldn't get their names straight, So I asked for their address and the guy just hangs up. Its a SCAM of some kind for sure so don't fall for it.

I got a call today from a guy with a thick Indian accent calling himself Martin, who said he was with the Department of Legal Affairs. I said I'd never heard of it and asked him repeatedly what division of the government the Department of Legal Affairs was part of (Department of Justice, etc), but of course he couldn't answer. I was just having fun with him (I'm retired with time on my hands), but after a while I felt sorry for him. No one would do this [***] unless they had to. Just say "Namaste" andhang up.

Just got a call from "Officer Ben" from Dept of legal affair US treasury (Phone number 707-728-8886) asking about my Attorney as (according to him) there is an issue with my Federal taxes (even though I am a regular tax payer) and they have sent several mails to my home address. Surprisingly, he had my home address too.  I told him that I am aware of the ongoing scams and you better not tell me all this because I never received any such mail in my mailbox. Seriously these guys need to get a life and do something better rather than trying to extract the hard earned money from someone.

My call came from Leslie Owens, with a not so heavy accent.  Same spiel, Dept of Legal Affairs, 718/734-1473, legal action, have your lawyer reply, etc.  they ended with the message with "God bless you".  Nice touch!  But since when does our government acknowledge God in their affairs.  They're getting better at their scams, but still have a ways to go; just wonder when they will actually become believable (hopefully not too soon as it may eventually start to become indiscernible).  Fortunately for us, their IQ is below 50 so we still have a fighting chance.  :)

I just got the same message and all I can say is learn how to speak the English language!!!!! If you want to be taken seriously you have to act professional which this was far from!  No name of person they are addressing in message, god bless at end, it is all so fake and unprofessional. Do these people take us for idiots? Its really a shame that we have to tolerate this nonsense in this country. And I was told by police that theres nothing to be done about it? Really??

I got a call this morning from 718-374-6038 his name was Ben Cooper. I let it go to voicemail since I didn't know anyone in New York. He left a message stating he was with the department of legal affairs. There was a law suit pending against me and if I didn't call them back right away that there would be a bunch of legal problems for me. They stated I could have my lawyer call them back. Scared the hell out of me so I googled them and saw it's a scam..I am just thankful there are people out there who care enough to let people know about this scam. Thank you all for your advice and ordeal

I received a call from the Dept. of Legal Affairs saying there has been action taken against me. #206-622-3000 DC,USA. When I called back man named John Davis(Yeah!!) with thick Indian accent answered and said I needed to take action and hire an attorney. He started asking me address # and told him I was looking on the internet and scam alerts were all over the place about this and he got angry , said it was not a scam and hung up.  I suspected something was up and it was. Nice try Habib !!!

Hahaha, my husband told the guy that he worked for the FBI and thanker  him for calling and leaving a voice mail on our phone. My husband told the guy that this would help with the investigation they are doing  these scam calls. (My husband doesn't work for the FBI) The man hung up and we havnt herd from him since. Hahaha.  This is no laughing matter though. Please be careful.
