These Jack**** people have called me 4 times today. When I finally decided to answer to see what's what, they have a dude on the line that I can barely understand saying I'm qualified for a free Gas card worth $200. They tell me I will be charged nothing untilI receive the card, then the "supervisor" gets on the line to confirm my mailing info, and wants my creditcard ###. What??? Do they think I was born yesterday, SCAM ALERT!!!   Beware I have also noitified the Phoenix Arizona Attourney General, who promised to look into this BS.

I got called by a person with a very heavy east indian accent. He mentioned that i am being rewarded with a $200 gas card. I proceeded to ask him detailed information as i suspected a scam. At first he refused to give me his website address and i hung up the phone on him. He called back and said the name of his company was American Auto Traveler and that I could find his company at www.americanautobenefits.com When i asked for his name he said "David Brown" his accent is obviously very northern east indian and as such his name cannot be David Brown. I mentioned this to him and he got immediately angry and said that if i knew everything already why am i talking to him. I said i will research this online. So far at every turn this is a scam!!!

OK now this is freaky! The same guy has called back pretending to be a different person... The supervisor with the name Adam Alexander. Their phone number is: 235-644-0887 These guys must be getting money and scamming people otherwise they would not be doing it. Who do we report such crap to? I have told them not to call me and to remove me from their list and they are still calling now saying that i am messing up their accounting because i have a $200 gas card in my name and i'm not completing the process to receive it... HMMM this sounds like a whole new version of the Nigerian scams.
WHO DO WE REPORT SCAMS LIKE THIS TO?

I got a text on my blackberry and thought it was a company benefit, so I called in...was I ever surprised.  Guess being smarter than the average bear, I didn't give her my # for the $2 processing fee for trial member shop and $200 gas vouchers, and checked the company out here has really paid off.  Thanks everyone for posting here!

I just got a call from "Jack" he told me they picked my phone number at random but the rest of the story is the same.  I gave them a wrong last name with my address with Apt# AB so if I get mail with the #AB I know where it came from.
I declined to give the credit card number which he tried hard to get.  I told him send it COD and I will pay up to $5 cash but no credit card.  Then I told him if he wants to send it COD fine, but the phone call was over.
This is the information "Jack" gave me.

I started getting calls from this same heavily accented "John D'Costa" who said he had my card info & was going to chg it $159.00. He not only gave neighbor's name & address, but gave a # that was probably someone's actual Visa #. I told him not to charge anything to MY cc-he said if it wasn't min, why worry about it?? Said was his so he would charge $159.00 everyday for next month-why should I care. Told him if he did that to somebody else's cc, mine might be next. Went next door and told neighbor what was happening. Asked if cc # he gave was hers(he was on phone AGAIN-6x's in 1hr.) When she got on phone w/him and started asking ??'s, the call became an OBSENE call. At least 10 more calls last night from them and the calls have already started this morning!!! Can't get rid of them!!!

I just got the same call, and knew right away it was a scam.  I kept the guy on the phone while I looked them up online.  I can't believe people would fall for this.  And I hope they don't call anymore.  If you don't know who or what it is never give your credit card # to them!!!

Telemarketing scam. . Several other similar numbers have been calling me, saying I have won a 200 dollar card from American Auto-Benefits based in Phoenix AZ, Representative name: Mike and his "ID" :AB4120. I indulged them long enough to confirm that they were lying. Wanted my credit card number, I told them I didn't have it memorized and to call back tomorrow. Never received word. Called each number back, and only two numbers were in service so I hit one to be removed from the list.

Immediately go to your bank, give them the full story, cancel your card and have them flag all attempts and have them recorded for later tracking. Do not bother waiting. These people obviously know how to steal and are willing to go to extreme lengths.

awesome. i was just one the phone for the second time with this company, after telling them no yesterday. they call again telling me i have a free 200 dollar voucher, and i tell them nothing is free in this world. they told me they wouldnt charge my card but they needed it to verify the address. i told them i didnt have it available to call me back around 5 (i had it in my pocket, but they arent getting it) I hope they do call back, I will be wasting alot of their time over the next week. and their accents are a huge clue.

I got a text telling me to call 800-255-8266.  They had my home phone number too, so not sure how they got all that.  They said they were accredited with the BBB, asked him why I couldn't find them on there then, and he got REALLY REALLY mad.  Kept saying same thing over and over and told me to try harder and go ahead and find it.  And he promised me that it wasn't a scam, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA    I hung up.  I just like to get as much info as possible so I can turn some of these suckers in :)  This was the American Auto Benefits from Stamford City, Connecticut but he said he was based out of Texas.

I also think it's funny that they say they only pick 20 lucky people for this, but there sure was a lot of jabbering in the background.  And more than 20 "lucky people" have obviously been contacted!
