Using various phone numbers with local area codes and/or prefixes, this company places numerous unsolicited telephone calls to my cell phone each month. I do not answer unrecognized numbers, but instead call the initiating number back on a land line. The response I get is: "Thank you for calling WCA Subscriber Services. This is a subscriber service number and your phone number is not recognized as a subscriber." My research indicates that this company is not a legitimate business, but is instead, a massive scam mill. They need to be stopped.

What response do you get when calling from your cell phone, that supposedly they claim to be calling as a "subscriber"?

In other words, have they just set things up to create a pretext to ignore attempts to get your number removed from their call list, even as they continue to call it under the pretext that you are some "subscriber"?

    Deception through feigned "confusion".

Want to play? Go the Removal link and submit removal requests and put in phone numbers to various City and State police departments, district attorney offices, judges offices, etc. Now let those scammers call those numbers and see what they get :-)

I just received a call on my cell from them and when I called back I got the same message "Thank you for calling WCA Subscriber Services. This is a subscriber service number and your phone number is not recognized as a subscriber."

I believe if you log in to remove your number the end result will probably an increase in calls as you will have just confirmed it is a valid phone number. They will inturn sell your information to others and your number will end up on multiple telemarketer/SCAM calling lists. I recommend you block the number via your phone company and report the harrassment to the Better Business Bureau.

It does no good to block their number because they use a multitude of numbers and will just use another.  If this truly is a scam why would they care what the BBB says?

I made the mistake of answering my cell phone and hearing a recording. I now get the calls almost every day.

Yes it does increase the calls and it saves the # and they share and sell it to different companies which do the same thing.... There is no way to track these people down because they have a program that enters the area code of the area u live in.... Thy could b calling from Thailand for all we know. These people are nuts!

That's a lie.  I called from my cell and chose to be removed.  I got one call after that, and none since.  I haven't received a call from them in three months.

I have continually over the past year asked numerous times to be removed and they are still calling, but the numbers they are calling from are different almost every time. The last time, which was 30 minutes ago, I decided to press 1 to except the call. Because they are still calling me I tried to ask the "gentleman" on the other end of the phone, I take it a representative of WCA, to put my number on the stop call list and he hung up on me. It is time to start a class action suit against WCA. I am looking into this further. If anyone is interested in following me and joining this class action please email me at deborahjezard@gmail.com.
