I purchased this pressure washer at Home Depot 7/22/08 for $299.00, used it once for less than 2 hours, stored it EXACTLY the way the owners manual instructed, and pulled it out on 5/4/11 to wash the side of my house. I hooked it up,added gas, turned on the water...Honda engine fired right up but the side of the pump is spraying water out of the fittings. No pressyre at all.If this is the kind of junk Home Depot is selling, I won't deal with them anymore.Use it one time and THEN spend $100.00 to $200.00 on a new pump,(I checked) or take it in for repair,($35.00 just to look at it)I realize it's out of warranty, but come on,LESS than two hours. I'd like to hope Home Depot would be willing to do something about this since there are obviously issues with this item

I live in Redding Ca. I purchased this pressure washer in 2008 i have used it about 10 times and now i am having the same problem as all the others on this website. The engine stars and runs fine util i turn the water source on and then it stalls the engine. I looked online to see if i could find a pump and came upon all these complaints which describe the exact same symptons and problem. I am very unhappy with this product, as is everyone obviously. If there is anything you can do it would be appreciated. If not then i will no longer make major purchases at Home Depot.

Thank you for your concern. My email is mixerdude51@gmail.com

I purchased this product in 2010 as a store display and replaced the pump last year. I went to go use the power washer to clean a pool lanai only to find the pump once again needs to be replaced. I am very frustrated with this product as it seems to be defective from all of the complaints listed on forums. I have only used it approximately 15 times and I live in FL where it is not exposed to cold weather/freezing. I have my equipment serviced once a year. The engine on this product is great it is the pump that is giving us grief and obviously replacing the pump does not fix the problem as the pump is primarily plastic.

Please assist us with this problem.

      Warm Regards

I purchased the Husky HU80722 2600psi Pressure Washer and have the same problem with the pump as everyone else. No pressure. I purchased it in 2008 and have used it maybe 5 times. It is certainly not in warranty any more. Has there been a recall on the pump? The problem seems wide spread. I know Husky has changed the pump on newer models. I am quite capable of installing a new pump or any retrofit. Can you give me some information as to locating a new pump or any other help?

I bought the HU80722  in 2009  washed my mobile home once put the unit away and a year later pulled it out again to do the same job.  Engine started on the third pull, and ran beautifully.  However, I pulled the trigger on teh sprayer and had pressure for about 5 seconds then found I had less flow than I get with the garden hose.   Release the trigger, the pressuree builds slowly and gives anotehr 5 second burst.  I found anoteher pump for 119 dollars at PWmall.com  1 877 979 6255 and iit seems like an easy repair, but then I found this web site and wonder if it is worth the effort.   Anyone know if this honda motor could be hooked to a go cart or bicycle?

I contacted the Customer Service Department, via the Sheronda e-mail, and I was informed a new pump has been shipped.  I am awaiting arrival of the pump and then it would be "applause" to the Home Depot company.

I have the EXACT same problems as everybody else on here. I ordered new plastic valves online earlier this year- but it didn't fix the problem. I just emailed Sheronda in hopes of having a new pump sent to me. Thanks for the info Tom- I will post my results

I emailed Sheronda and received an email back from Robert at Home Depot. He was very helpful and understanding- after a few emails back and forth they said they were shipping me a replacement pump at no charge. It appears to be a different model than the one that the washer originally came with. It is a Himore part#308653025. I will be putting it in tomorrow- props to Home Depot for taking care of my problem.

Much better pump than the original.  Better design and I like the way all the connections are behind the washer, not in the front.  My new pump works great.

I have the same problem as everybody else. The motor will start fine, but the pump will not work under pressure. Had it for approx 18 months. Used it about 10 times. Was using it and it was working fine turned it off and came back and started it and the pump didn't work. You tube had a video how to rebuild pump but could not fine rebuild kit. Found new pump for 64.00 at a small engine repair shop. Was told by them that the pump that I got was the third one that they have made to replace previous pumps with problems. Was told this one has not had any problems yet. Here is the number of the pump I got HM,308653025. Hope this helps you.
