I purchased this pressure washer at Home Depot 7/22/08 for $299.00, used it once for less than 2 hours, stored it EXACTLY the way the owners manual instructed, and pulled it out on 5/4/11 to wash the side of my house. I hooked it up,added gas, turned on the water...Honda engine fired right up but the side of the pump is spraying water out of the fittings. No pressyre at all.If this is the kind of junk Home Depot is selling, I won't deal with them anymore.Use it one time and THEN spend $100.00 to $200.00 on a new pump,(I checked) or take it in for repair,($35.00 just to look at it)I realize it's out of warranty, but come on,LESS than two hours. I'd like to hope Home Depot would be willing to do something about this since there are obviously issues with this item

I have the same problem as everybody else. The motor will start fine, but the pump will not work under pressure. Had it for approx 18 months. Used it about 10 times. Was using it and it was working fine turned it off and came back and started it and the pump didn't work. You tube had a video how to rebuild pump but could not fine rebuild kit. Found new pump for 64.00 at a small engine repair shop. Was told by them that the pump that I got was the third one that they have made to replace previous pumps with problems. Was told this one has not had any problems yet. Here is the number of the pump I got HM,308653025. Hope this helps you.

It's no use.  If you have the 1,600 or 1,750 psi Husky, red, upright washer you're screwed.  You can't start it if you have an older house, because the GFI will keep kicking you out.  Cut it off and jump splice in a regular plug.  Then, you had better be handy because the pressure hose kinks after a few months, sooner if you have to coil it up in your truck.  The hose and gun are all one piece, so when your pressure hose gets kinked you have to buy the whole enchilada.  Then they charge you for the replacement piecemeal with separate components all costing about $100 bucks.  The replacement guns don't work very well.  The fitting from the pressure hose to the body of the unit will freeze inside of a year, causing you to have to take the entire fitting out and replace it with new fitting parts (good luck finding them).  This is a cheap Chinese nightmare, which is sadly emblematic of almost every retail outlet in America.  I'm so tired of fighting with(fixing) the cheap fasteners, fittings, and small fragile parts that break easily. Now, I usually use these machines for 11 months, return them and buy another one.  It's sad but true.  America, the home of quality manufacturing, it now relegated to the standards of the Beijing Bobble Factory.  Wake up America.

My HU80722 just died today.  Not sure if it was because i let it run for an extended time, without spraying. I kind of got distracted.  I read that the pump fails because of overheating.  No where in the instructions did I read not to run continuously without spraying.

Same problem here!  Thought maybe just me since both Home Depot AND Husky just stated since it was past the warranty, I'd need to go to an Authorized Svc Ctr.  Right!  Pay for flawed equipment after minimal hours of use.   Needed to finish deck so already spent $70 just to RENT a power washer due to this wasted Husky.

Did pull pump off and found pump head kit for $98> http://www.ppe-pressure-washer-parts.com/store/1961581/product/1001.4707

Might try that since renting 4 hrs cost almost that much.

Going to write BOTH Husky AND Home Depot... the more that do the better shot we all have.

Same problem.  I used my HU80722 about 5 times.  No pressure and Home Depot did nothing for me.  I have been sitting on it for 1 year now and thought I would try to fix it.  I looked on line because I paid $318.00 for ot in 08 and it is just taking up sapce.  I wish I would have looked on line before purchasing.  I have seen replacement pumps fpr $165.00.  Any thoughts.
P.S.  I do not shop at Home Depot to often.

Same issues as the rest. I can't get water to run out the outlet. Seems to be a valve problem but can't get to it and there is no drawings or info about it. Used it maybe 3 times.

If everyone can't get Home Depot to replace the pump (part # 308653025) for free you can purchese it from www.skylinepowerequipment.com for less than $50. They have the best price I've found so far.

    Hope this helps

Just happened to me, Bang, engine stopped working. Re pulled the engine, fired up and no pressure. Pump shot. Pulled it to pieces but could not figure out the problem. Engine runs fine but no pressure. Been intermittent since day 1. Love the engine but completely useless with a piece of junk Husky pump. Anyone suggest a replacement pump worth buying? Did anyone contact Husky and get positive results or a replacement part?
