My mother received a call at her home for me from a so called Agent Brown and he provided a court docket number and advised I could return the call or would be sued in court. Unlike most of the complaints on here, I know I owe this payday loan from 2005 and as of right now have no funds to pay them. I called them back and spoke w/this so called agent and asked what court is this docket number from being I live in Dallas, Texas and asked for the name of the original loan company. Of course he couldn't provide either. I then advised him I would be contacting the Attorney General and the FCC to file a complaint. It's not illegal to owe money, nor is it illegal for them to contact me regarding the debt but it is illegal to mis-represent yourself, not provide your company name and other info needed to validate the debt. If they call you I suggest you do the same.

Someone pretending to be me applied online to the pay-day loan company, QuickQuid.  They borrowed £400 ($650) in my name at 5,200% APR interest. Then QuickQuid wrote to me demanding repayment...even though I had never taken out a loan with them.  To see what happened, watch the videos on my YouTube channel at EyesEars.com.

My husband received a call for me on his cell today from ACS threatening a summons, I called back an 877 number I might add and it said it was a debt collector. I have a old debt that I owe but it's only like $1,000. I'm married but my individual income is $10,000 a year so I'm not the best canadiate for re-payment. Is this a scare tactic?? What should I do??

I got my first email yesterday and they said I used Cash Net USA and that company doesn't even do loans in my state of indiana so I already knew it was fake and the interest cap in my state is 391% so another red flag was that they said they were charging me 900% interest saying I owed 984$ for a $300 loan. I emailed this info back to them and they quit emailing me so I sent more emails and they still haven't responded so that was also an indicator they were fake. Research your payday loan laws in your state when being contacted by people like that. Hell they didn't even start the letter w/ my name they said "Dear Debtor" my first email to them was that they would have used my name in a letter threatening legal action

I also received email today threatening lawsuit. They stated that "we have all the rights reserved to inform to FBI,FTC, your employer and bank about fraud". Hell they can't even write a convincing letter using the english language.  They want me to pay $4271.15.  This is a Fraud. The number they want me call is +1-802-768-1001 between 9:30 and 6:3 EST. Or email them at acs.detcollections@gmail.com. I will be reporting this to anyone I can.  I do not owe and will not be paying.  If anyone else receives a call or email like this I hope they do not pay either, it is a scam.

Yeah I just received an email also about a loan I supposedly took out and that I owe 941.17 to the ACS Incorp, I have reported them to my attorney which is taking care of this, if you go online you will see how many scams they have pulled on people, and they are all of indian decent with names like James Brown and Mike Smith.  I even called my local FBI office and they informed under no circumstances to give them any bank or personal information, this was do from appling for something online which gave them access to my phone number my email address and of course, my home address.  Please contact your local office and complain, the more complaints that go out maybe we can get a chance to stop these people, this is starting to get very annoying as they are calling my work and sending me nasty emails saying they are going to sue me and report me to the local authorities!!!  Good Luck

I received the same email yesterday.  As I have received a different voice mail last month from someone last month using same scare tactics but said they were with the Federal Government.  What got me is that, if you are with the Federal Government you know each states law. I live in KY? Online payday loans ARE ILLEGAL!  I asked for proof, said sent it out to address, said I never got it, she said what's your address, I said you sent it out, what is it, finally got a supervisor and it was a debt collector. But yesterday's was from ACS, also with a Case#,  and prosecuted in a Court House, who the hell is going to put my Social Security number on hold? I have never heard of the United Legal Investigations Bureau. And the kicker..... you know how much they said I owe?  $4271.15     Sound familiar?

I received the same email yesterday morning but but the inital amount was $825.00. When I got to the bottom I saw another amount which was the same $4,271.17 as you. They also left a # to contact them at. 347-670-4001 When you call it you receive a British women saying that they are sorry they missed your call and it then hanges up. I was able to do a reverse look up and it shows that is in NY city.

Yes I got the same type of email for $1100.00 that would end up costing me over $13,000 if I didn't pay up in 48 hrs.....I also got some call saying Officer Jake Thomas was on his way to my house with the sherriff to serve me and I must have 2 pieces of I. D. to show them when they got there......Ha Ha.....they are full of B.S. and the harassment is unreal. You can't sue them because they spoof the numbers so they can't get caught.....I never talk to anybody I do not know or recognize the number! .....Plus I don't owe them any debt anyway!!!!!!
