CPS financed my car 2 years ago.  One month, I called because I was going to be late with my payment.  They offered a one-time-only deal of extending that payment for 2 weeks.  I accepted.  What they did not tell me was that this was a permanent change to my payment due date.  Since then, I am now ALWAYS 2 weeks late with my payment with monthly late fees piling up that I refuse to pay.  I currently owe almost $2,000 in late fees because of this; also, because of this continual lateness, they have harrassed me at work calling continuously while I am in class teaching.  One day I had to argue with the csr because she told me to clean out my car, she was sending a repo team to my school to pick up my car.  I asked her if I could call her back in 20 minutes after my students left, she said to just clean out my car.  I chewed her out and hung up.  She called 5 minutes later claiming that it was not her who had previously called me and asking if I would PLEASE return her call in 20 minutes.  They have also harrassed my elderly and ill parents, my neighbors, my friends, and my coworkers.

    I have a car loan with CPS.   Just notice they deducted a payment from my checking account with out my approval.   I had already paid this month payment.   This company can not be trusted.  
    Have reported them to the FTC.

    How can they repo your car if they don't know where u live?

    They just settled.  Contact FTC..

    Now that they settled, have they changed their practices? I went to a dealer this past weekend, and was given a loan package through CPS.  
    I understand that if you are late, they can take your car.  Though it seems like they harass anyone who has a loan with them.
