Complaint

I am not sure that this is the name of the company because it is very difficult to understand the name of the company. This company has called me 2 times and left 15 minutes of messages on my answering machine. He repeats his name (which I cannot understand) and his phone number over and over again for 15 minutes.........I called them back the first time approximately a month ago and told him do not call again, and today I received the same 15 minute message. He is not calling for me, but and I am not going to put up with the harassment. The phone number that he give to call back is 1-800 -335-0872. I DO NOT WANT ANYMORE COLLECTION CALLS. I HAVE GOOD CREDIT AND I DO NOT CARE WHO HE IS CALLING FOR HE HAS NO RIGHT TO CONTINUE TO CALL AND HARASS ME! Please let me know what else I can do to get him to stop!

Does that comment really pertain to anything discussed here?
Clearly your insult doesn't bother or hurt me in any way.
I'll type however I feel like typing, it's not offensive. My caps lock is
on, it's staying that way. If you, personally don't like it, don't read my posts.
    Thanks

    Again,
if they informed us we were calling a wrong #, and didn't just hang up without saying anything, the number is removed.
You're trying to fuel a fire that isn't necessary. Tell these people the truth, if you get a call for an incorrect party, inform the caller, regardless of what company they are calling from.
I get calls from other agencies for people I don't know on my cell and home phones. But I calmly tell the party, "I'm sorry, I don't know that person, please remove my number."
All it takes is a 30 second conversation to end the problem.

This is false! I have tried to inform this company several time through it automated prompts they have the wrong number. This did not work! I have called the local number and after several hang ups have been told that the number has been removed. This is a LIE! You see I am still getting calls and I DO NOT owe the debt! This person who does lived at my current home has NEVER lived with me I do NOT know them! Also my number is not new I have had it for over 5 years! I am currently "waiting" for a call back from a "supervisor" because she is out to lunch! I won't hold my breathe.

And that is why you should stop wasting your time and hand off this case of illegal harassment to an attorney.  The complaints against MRS have remained the same, for years, despite the protestations of their employees.  They aren't set up to stop harassing, and as long as it doesn't cost them anything, they really don't care.

FDCPA allows courts to aware damages AND attorney fees, so you can find attorneys who take these cases on contingency. File a complaint with FTC, and then find an attorney.

You can find a consumer attorney in your state through www.naca.net

    Fine by me.

It just undermines your credibility, just like a loudmouthed boor.

Calling me a loud mouth "boor" wasn't necessary.
Just because in the text world caps lock on is considered yelling, doesn't mean that's what I'm doing.
If you must know, when I am home working on some of the programs I have, for editing, it requires me to keep caps lock on, so I just leave it on.
Not all collectors are rude, abrasive and ignorant. I'd appreciate not being lumped in with them.
Clearly, I'm well spoken and not an idiot. So let's leave personal attacks out of this conversation. Thank you

Boor may refer to: boor, a peasant or uncultured person; one who lacks in education, knowledge, refinement and social graces

I'm insulted by the assumption that I'm uncultured, uneducated or low class.
You don't know me, and this line of work wasn't my first choice. I'm sorry that the job market took a plunge a few years ago, and I'm in the position where I have to pay bills and put food on the table.
In keeping this job that was available to me, when the job market I went to school for dried up, I am debt free and living in my own home.
So we aren't all a disgrace to society. I am just happy to have a job and regular paycheck.

My comment was merely factual.  You chose to use CapsLock, even though you know how it comes across.  Given that choice, I don't see why you would be "insulted" that anyone would point it out to you.

There is a spectrum of debt collection behavior that runs all the way from professional compliance to criminal fraudulent activity.

My primary concern is the apparent tolerance of questionable harassment, abuse, and deception by the debt collection industry, as if it is their God-given right.

Apparent robocall harassment is not merely an annoyance, as it commonly shows up in concert with active deception and abuse by collection agency employees.  Harassment and abuse are tactics associated with deception, as they assist and complement actual but "deniable" deceptive tactics.  This leads to consumer losses due to fraud.

its against the law to disclose someone's pers business to a third party, which you are. debt collectors arent trying to be evasive but are required by law to verify who they are speaking to. would you like someone you dont know being made aware of a debt you owe, of course not. get off your soapbox

    MRS ASSOCIATES ARE HEARTLESS
@ANSWERS Your true colors come out when you refer to us as, "DISGRACE TO SOCIETY". It's great you managed to keep your home, family, and life in tact like that. Sure, you sacrificed the education by not keeping a job in the field of interest, but all in all you remain a "Proper Contributor to Society".

Not all have been so fortunate. Some have lost jobs, family, homes, and even more due to truly unfortunate things outside of their control. To be lumped into your, "DISGRACE TO SOCIETY" is saddening, but it is how I think the majority of you in this line of work think. I base this on the multiple conversations I've had with your colleagues (maybe even you).

So keep calling, you can't draw blood from a turnip no matter how hard to squeeze.

You read My post incorrectly. Referring to collectors, we are not all a disgrace to society.
      Reading is fundamental.

Ok people, no need to digress, although @ANSWERS you should know that
ALL CAPS is the equivalent of YELLING on the internet, and is as rude as the harassing phone calls from MRS Associates.

I am not in debt but suddenly have been getting harassing phone calls from MRS Associates for someone with my same last name, but different first name although same initial.

Despite telling them I am not that person, as well as going along with them machine telling them it's not me they continue to call and they refuse to tell me what company it is, why they are calling, and a couple of them have been downright nasty.

In trying to find out who is behind this, I found this:

calls came from from a couple of caller ID's including (201)399-4579 Englewood, NJ and (516)881-7756 - and this (516) phone number has the caller ID of:
    Leon Kucherovsk
upon Googling, here is the contact info for:

Leon Kucherovsky, ESQ (website specializes in debt collection...)
    115 S Corona Ave,
    Valley Stream, NY 11580
    Phone:(516) 881-7755
    Fax: (516) 881-7745

a [previous?] address listed on the same Website for Leon Kucherovsky, ESQ
lists the address as (and is also shown on their website map under the contact us page, even though the typed address says the valley stream address...) :

    212 W. 35th St, 2nd Fl
    New York, NY
212-564-5005 gets to same outgoing message (obviously one is forwarded to the other)

Just sayin' in case anyone wants to reciprocate the love by calling or faxing - hey why not stop by and occupy?! I'm sure like me you need an outlet for your frustration now that corporations are people and all that.
    Good luck!

Since you had to point out spelling errors... "its" is spelled "it's", by "reate" I assume you meant "rate", and "yea" is typically correctly spelled "yeah".

Your use of the abbreviations ACCT, ROD, and PYMTS is extremely unprofessional.

You need to brush up on when you use a comma, and when to use a period.

Since your replies throughout this forum imply that you are an employee of MRS Associates Inc., we can all assume that the attitude one reads in your messages, is the same attitude you will use with any client on the phone (By the way, that attitude is equivalent to that of a 13 year old teen girl who’s just been punched in the face by puberty and wants revenge). Of course no one wants to deal with you. You're an ass.

If you are being harassed by "erroneous" calls from an attorney/debt collector, you have not only the lawsuit remedies of FDCPA, but you can file a complaint with his state bar.

Look i took a phonne out under my name for my mother-in-law and she failed to let me know she decided not to pay the bill cause she couldnt or didnt want to ok MYBAD should have never done that MRS called me I told them my plan to pay bill which was through 2 $200 payments in 1 month the agent said great took that note and told me till the bill was paid I will still recieve calls and the also was willing to settle a $800  bill for $400 that is great and the bill is payed and no more calls so this is to all you slackers, tools, lazy, ungrateful, people if the shoe fits just PAY the [***] bill you made the debt not MRS accosiates or the company you got that damn 60" TV you had to have the best way to be debt free is to only buy what you can afford with cash also everyone should take a look at there debt to income ratio that might help to let you know what you can afford
