Today I received a text msg asking me if I would like a $200 Gas Voucher. It provided a toll free number to call for details: 877-764-7978. I have received 6 different text messages this year, with similar promises. I called the number, the person on the other end with a foreign accent, claimed to work for "Central Rewards" and proceeds to tell me for a one-time fee of $2.95 I would get a $200 gas voucher, good anywhere. Sarcastically, I said that it sounds too good to be true! I asked him how I pay the $2.95 fee to get my voucher... Of course, he was willing to accept any major credit card. Unfortunately, when I reply STOP to opt out of these things, it does no good. Each time, the text msg with an amazing offer comes from a different number. All of them lead back to "Central Rewards"

Central Rewards calls cell phone numbers as well as texting - It comes up UNKNOWN!!!  They have called my brother's phone twice in the last 3 weeks.

The second time I asked them who they were and I could barely understand "Central Rewards," because of the Indian accent. I told them if they call this number one more time, I would report them to the FCC.  He said, "no problem" and hung up.

I got a post card in the mail I call 1-855-286-8770 but all I would tell them was my exper date. I told that they did not have no return address on the post card and no other information. They then gave me a number to start my account when I get my 200 dollar gas card but they sent me a post card that said I was to get a 100 dollar gift card but they said that was a mistake and it was suppose to be 200 dollars gift card. They said they where in Pheonix Arizona but I told him that I was going to check them out on line first witch he gave me a name of Jim Dawson and he was a forener and he made sure to spell his name, and I did not ask him to and he what me to go on line with him on the phone.  I think he was hoping I would not so I would give him my card number but hung up and then went on line and read all of the comment and I'm gald that I did and appreate all of your comment.

Just got off the phone with these clowns.  They spread a line of Horse Dung a mile wide.  Only a $2.95 processing fee for $200.00 in gas voucers.  I then asked who was offering this promotion; no answer, just a line about many companies using third party agents to promote their businesses.  Yeah, sure, in a market where the gas companies are making new record profits every quarter and the Federal and State Governments turn a blind eye; they need to do promotional give-aways to promote business.  In a word, Bull-puky.  Thank goodness, when I asked for their company name and the rep. gave it to me.  That way i can do my part to help warn anyone who reads this to not give them any info they don't already have.  My only advice to everyone is the old line, "If it seems to good to be true, it probably is."

Apparently, you've been scammed too Mikey baby.  Because as of 11/28/11 the BBB rates the [***] THIEVES in Pembroke Pines Florida with an "F".  And my wife and I are now fighting these same [***] over the same scam.  BTW, why would a "company" based in Florida send their scam literature (which we were billed for and had not even authorized) FROM A 94531 ZIP CODE??!!

Do NOT deal with ANY of these c*********s.

A guy with a strong accent just called me offering 500 dollars coupon. He said he was from central rewards and also asked me to pay 2.95 USD - one time processing fee. Well, if someone wants to give me 500 USD than surely he can eat the 2.95 USD... I am happy I have found this webpage and did not run into any problems with these people.

Received a postcard. My senior parent called it in with my card number for $200 in gas. Something told me to look it up over the internet. I did. I took the phone, an indian person answered and said, we are not a scam. She replied, what company name does it say we are from, I said its over the internet by number. . Good thing I have a prepaid debit card!!!! I told them to forget my number. Now you will find a random post regarding how good they are. IT'S THEM. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS . WITH ALL THE PEOPLE UNEMPLOYED IN AMERICA, IF IT WAS REAL ALL THE JOBS SHOULD BE OVER HERE!

call these guys up , and record the entire conversation, don't tell them otherwise they willl hang up the call, let them charge you on a recorded line.

you'll notice after 5 days dat u have been charge $39.95 and many more charges, den you can go ahead and complaint.

they should never have the slightest of doubt dat d calls have been recorded.

you could sue them because they give a false name and false location.

we must sue these fukin [***] , who target mostly eldery people in giving their cc information and charging all these fake charges

I am glad I checked this company online and read all the complaints! as I suspected, it is a scam and these people are employing people overseas to conduct their scam so they won't be prosecuted...
Hope the real perpetrators will be served with a lawsuit from those who fell victims of this fraudulent company!

"All scammers are the same...convincing BIG FAT LIARS. JUST HANG UP   ALREADY!!"

I received a card in the mail. saying...  Great News!
                                               You can receive
                                               $200.00 in gasoline!
                                               Call now for complete details.

It went on to give information on time and confirmation number.
I spoke with a man who gave his name when I asked to receive details on the whys, etc.  He gave me the name of the company (Central Rewards), and my only obligation was $2.95, to cover costs.
I asked him if I could send him the $2.95 by mail, as I didn't want to give my card number over the phone.  He informed me that they didn't take check, cash or money order. By that time I got on the internet, and found you all.
When he got through repeating his "scheel", he hung up....

This is definitely a SCAM. I gave them my numbers but looked them up online while I was still on the call. I saw several negative reviews and comments so I told the guy I changed my mind. He hung up on me!! I called my bank immediately and they had already begun charging my account for things I did not agree to. I had to shut down my card so I wouldn't incur anymore charges. In the meantime it's 10 days before Christmas so I've put myself in a bind because now I have to get to a bank to get cash and hope I can get through the Holidays without too much inconvenience. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

These goofballs won't leave me alone they have called me ten times over the last two days. They are relentless; offering me a $500 shopping card if I agree to pay a shipping and handling charge. I don't know how to get them to stop calling.

I received several calls on my cell phone over the past few days. They only show up on my caller id as California!! Today I answered the call!  Some forein guy named Justin Smith in formed me that I had been randomly chosen to receive a $500 Walmart grocery gift card!!! I was very suspicious of this call. I listened to what he had to say , very reluctantly and then he told me that for $2.95 he would send my card and gave me some sort of confirmation# to watch for on my package. I asked how I was going to pay the $2.95 and he said that I would need to give him a credit or debit card info. That is when I told him that I was NOT giving him any credit or debit card info!!!!  He then told me that he did not need my card number on the front of the card, but rather the expiration date and the code on the back of the card!!!!! He gave me some line of [***] about my 16 digit number on the front and that is when I just hung up on him!!!!!  Then a few hours later, you guessed it, another call!!! When I got home I looked up the company and found this site!!!  Boy am I ever glad that I hung up on them!  I called the number back only to get it answered as "WEare a telemarketing company"  Thanks for all of your comments on this, sounds like I avoided being taken!!!!PHEW
