Text message promising a $200 gas voucher

Today I received a text msg asking me if I would like a $200 Gas Voucher. It provided a toll free number to call for details: 877-764-7978. I have received 6 different text messages this year, with similar promises. I called the number, the person on the other end with a foreign accent, claimed to work for "Central Rewards" and proceeds to tell me for a one-time fee of $2.95 I would get a $200 gas voucher, good anywhere. Sarcastically, I said that it sounds too good to be true! I asked him how I pay the $2.95 fee to get my voucher... Of course, he was willing to accept any major credit card. Unfortunately, when I reply STOP to opt out of these things, it does no good. Each time, the text msg with an amazing offer comes from a different number. All of them lead back to "Central Rewards"

Do NOT give them any account information, or you will be charged MUCH more than $2.95, for useless "gas vouchers" if you get anything.
i almost considered, thanks
Also told them not to call or text again.
Shawn said it wouldn't happen again...
Yea yea Yea...
Question is, where did it come from, and how do I get it to STOP?
i have the same problem with them. can you tell me how did you come out of that. please give me your contact details if you wish in order to contact you to know more about what to do next.
Thank you
***NOW READ THIS PART CAREFULLY***
If you tell them you want to cancel and they try and pull this w/ you, this is the point when you threaten to call you State's Attorney's office (or some sort of legal presence to that effect) because what they're intending to do at this point is TOTALLY A Ponzi Scheme! If you've already gotten this far and are considering cancelling they'll tell you, you cant cancel until you receive a a list of 800#s to call and cancel because they'll claim they cant cancel it at that point in time. Then they'll say, Ok just say YES to the $2.95 or $1.95 trial fee to receive the Vouchers and packaging of other materials related to (CENTRAL REWARDS/MEMBERSHIP SAVINGS + and PRIVACY MATTERS) and if you reply NO to any of these fees being processed on your card they'll close the line. In the end you do get a confirmation # and a list of WORKING #s to call and cancel. Make sure you have a pen though because its about 3 #s they give you.
If the ones up top are dead #s like one person said just call 1-877-652-2168 or 1-888-239-0316. And tell em youd like to cancel immediately because this is ndeed one of the worst scams on the internet! Im still wondering how they even got my info!
thank you
Dont be fooled by them if u have already been fooled then simply call immediately on the toll free numbers provided by them and get ur subscription canceled.
