Fraudulent Charge
Complaint

I recently realized that I was being billed $12.95 from MNI Credit Reporting on a monthly basis. I have NEVER used an online reporting tool for my credit score. Even scarier, there seems to be hundreds of complaints regarding this company throughout the web. After calling them and being put on hold for over 30 minutes, I decided to try again with similar results. It appears that this company steal your information, and then you can't reach them to cancel the billing. If the charge is recurring your credit card company can not get your money back - they deem it as user negligence. Proceed with MNI and FreeCreditReport.com with caution - They are a slippery group of thieves!

He asked me about three different names that he said had filed for reports under my card number. He removed the charge from my card.
I have been reading about so many complains of fraudulent charges from them. Isn't it strange that a company that specializes in credit security, is experiencing all these fraudulent charges? Just saying....
damn these people!!!!!!
!
Now to my bewilderment, I just saw a new $14.95 charge from Experian on my NEW card on 1/24. I'm waiting to see if I'll get the second "monthly" charge of $19.95 today, the 26th, before I take action. It appears that my credit card company has forwarded or provided my new card info to the very merchant (Experian) who I reported had fraudulently charged my card last month!!!! Seriously, what on earth is going on here?
ordered the credit report. They required my credit card number (which I immediately then cancelled).
Has anyone gotten any logical answers from any "fraud department"? Our credit card company was eager to
investigate ME, to see if indeed I ordered the report. The person on the experian line was "hemming and hawling"
"asking his supervisor"...etc. Any class action suits going on? Maybe facebook would be interested!
Interesting that my first thought was "does this affect MY credit report". Let's see....maybe Experian should
check that out for me...I DON"T THINK SO!!!!
Do not call them, do not give them any more information.
First, I'm from Canada, so this scam is reaching far.
Many phone calls later, I have been assured I will receive a refund and they have blocked the account, but Experian was unable to block my credit card from being used again in their system. Why don't they make the account number the same as the credit card so they can block this?
I am highly annoyed at this whole process. Looks like I'll have to get a new cc, but make sure my credit card company doesn't PASS ALONG THE NEW NUMBER... AGAIN! Turns out Experian was using an old card number and my cc company just passed along the new number when Experian tried a pre-authorized charge. stupid!
Why doesn't Experian ask for the CVV code? Why don't they match cardholders to the order placer. so stupid!
I am now worried that whoever ordered the credit report now has enough information to open up other lines of credit. Is it worth going through the trouble of putting a "fraud alert" on all of the credit reporting agencies?
