Complaint

Country: United States
I got a call on my cell phone regarding credit card debt relief. . I was transferred to nakisha,  asked if I wanted to continue, they asked for $600 or $60.00 to send me the paperwork and for the consultation. When I asked them what it was for she said they would deduct from my first payment but would not tell me what the money was for FINALLY SHE  said yes.

THE FIRST TIME THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD APPLY TO MY CREDITORS BUT WHEN THEY CONVINCED ME TO RECORD MY VOICE THAN THEY SAID IT WAS ONLY A FEE FOR THE CONSULTATION!!!

. No fees should be sent to anyone for additional information requested on a company or program

she has been harrasing me telling that i have to pay this amount or else! and that they can take me to court becaues they have my voice accepting!! !  unfortunally i gave many personal information!!
what happends now??
i never signed anything!!!!

Some of the people on here were saying they recorded their voice giving authorization. Also, sometimes people don't read and understand everything they are signing so they may have actually signed an auth form. Sounds like you did the right things and should be OK.

Are all these complaints about DEBT SETTLEMENT? I am considering enrolling in DEBT CONSOLIDATION. Please, can anyone tell me about their dealings with this company regarding DEBT CONSOLIDATION. There is a huge difference, as with debt settlement you want the creditors to sue you. (They can't garnish wages very much, know they'll lose, so they SETTLE FOR LESS). Trouble is, THEY WILL sue you! But "Debt Consolidation" is different. They negotiate lower rates, schedule payments to each creditor, you pay them one monthy payment that they disburse while charging you about $40/month for the service, and in about 56 payments yoyu're debt free. Please, if anyone can offer opinion I would appreciate it.

    Looking down on you
The reason thousands of companies advertise under this name is because it is the name of a service, NOT a company. One company may have named themselves with the acronym cccs after the service.  It is the same as if a restaraunt went by the name the restaraunt, would that make them the only "real" restaraunt??

I just got off the phone with this company and feel glad to have escaped without giving them any information.  I have only social security, no job, but I live with my son so I have no rent or utilities to pay.  Therefore, I can pay extra on my credit cards and pay more than the minimum payment.  I want to do it on my own.  I don't want a bail out.  I got myself into debt and I want to get myself out.  When the representative said I would pay them a monthly payment and they would pay my creditors, I knew I didn't want to be part of their program.

I have been working on the phone with this company and just received their contract via email. I had serious doubts, but I need help in Ohio so, I am going to be talking with them, and asking more questions.

I don't understand much of the reasoning behind the "Global Credit Solutions" part, and will refuse to pay all the money for their services before they negoitate a settlement with the creditors.

Will have to wait and see if I get answers.

My 80 year old dad received  a call from this company called consumer law group, located in Boca Raton, Fl.800-814-6756, a woman named Rose Labideau said they will help lower your bills and ask for your information even pretending to be a bank, then they go into your account and take money out. They have other numbers and names they use, please be aware of this company they are bad new and they prey on the elderly, they got my 80 year old dad. If you check them out online you will find many people were taken by them.

This company is bad news, watch out for a Rose Labideau that works for Consumer Law Group, Boca Raton, Fl. she called me from 800-814-6756, they remove money from your bank accounts like nothing.  In return they do nothing.  I would report them ASAP and close out all your accounts before they empty them.

I heard about this company Consumer Law GRoup, They have a lot of locations, I feel everyone that has had a problem should report them, I was contacted by them a number of times and they tried to get me to give them my banking information when I said no and to stop calling me, Gregg told me to go F--K myslef.  These people sound like a bunch of crooks.  I think we should all call them or better yet anyone living in that area or if you know someone that lives there have them stop by or wait for them downstairs and give them a tast of their own medicine.  I cannot believe that they are allowed to do this to people.

We were also screwed by this company, I hope someone gets them, they should not get away with stealing money from people.  I would report them to the FBI, who knows what is really behind this company maybe they are terrorist and using our own money to attack us one day, that may sound crazy but look at some of the stuff that has happened to us.  I think is the government wants to check out crime and who is a danger to the country and its people they should check these clowns out.

I signed up with this company months ago and everything seems to be fine with my account so far.  I did do a verbal recording at the beginning of my program so I knew they were taking the payments.  I am not sure how this could be a scam.  My creditors have sent me letters accepting the new rates that I have received and I have already made 4 payments.  Some of you people are on here saying they just "took" your money are you failing to mention that you authorized it.  I find it hard to believe some of the things I am hearing on here.  I think some of these people just didn't listen or didn't understand the program.

Thank you for the info.  I have long grown up on the idea, if it sounds too good to be true, then it is.  Now I know why that is true. I will stay away from this one.  Pretending to be lawyers when they are not??  Why has the Federal Government not checked into this group??

They cannot charge me since I refused to let them record me.  I refused to give them any account numbers and especially my SS number.  There is the reason why.

Anyone who says that this company has helped them and that they love them for their services I can guarantee you that they work for them. This company is nothing but criminals; who will pay for what they have done to millions of people.

That is exactly what I told them and I told myself.  If it sounds too good to be true, then it is.  Whether they are legit or not, I am staying away from them.  Tooooooo many negatives like solicitation for lawyer services which they are not even lawyers to begin with.  I am glad I did not bother to give them my SS and acount numbers because folks, that there is a RED FLAG!!

    PS
Thank you for this website. I worked with CCCS in the past and had a great experience. WHen I signed up for CLG I thought I was dealing with the non profit- CCCS. This is fraudulent.
I have experienced unprofessional treatment and shady contract practices with CLG. I do not recommend them in the least.

I just want to tell every one that the company that I work for has a contract with The Consumer Law Office P.A. I am very disturbed to see all of the complaints that are on here. If you have a complaint you can call the law office 561-886-1150 and explain it to them and I promise you they will take care of you. Whatever you all do DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE DEBT SETTLEMENT PROGRAM you will get scammed.

This is a fraud.  Anyone saying otherwise is only working for them...so easy, just sign in and sing their praises.  These bloodsuckers are simply a telemarketing scam with no legitimate published phone number (they call from 866-495-2273...at least for now) and get people to commit to paying $550. or whatever amt. they feel like that day!  People are desparate and some do it.  They're hard to track down because they move thru the internet and change in and out of business names etc.

This is the 2nd time I've posted and still it doesn't show.  Consumer Law Group out of Boca Raton is a fraudulent telemarketing scam.  My disabled husband was bilked out of $550.00 using the method discribed above in someone else's account.  They told him most of that money was going to his first payment on the debt but then they sent us a contract that didn't even mention the money they got him to give them on the phone via taping his authorization.  It is sick sick sick.  It is GRAND THEFT of vulnerable individuals (seniors especially).  I told my husband--no I begged him--not to do it, but he did it anyway.  When we realized for sure it was bogus, I felt physically ill.
