This company at 845-770-0061 keeps calling my cell requesting to verify my name and my address. I asked who they are and why do they want my address. They tell me they want to send a business proposal to me, yet they refuse to give me the name of their company. I looked up the reverse phone number and found the name Paetec Communication in Nyack,New York. I contacted their parent office at 845-675-4485 and STILL nothing has been resolved. I am also on the do not call list and their reply was it does NOT affect us!!! These calls are annoying and upsetting. I told them I am NOT interested and to remove my number at once. I have ALL the phone records on my cell and would appreciate a stop to this harrassment.

    I just received a call from "Pablo" from (561)674-0870, who asked for me by name. I immediately asked who he was, and he paused, then hung up. I called the number back, and it went to his voicemail, so I left a message telling them to remove my number from their call list. I called again, and Pablo answered and I told him to tell me what company he was with, or I would turn the phone number into the Feds. He told me to stop calling him, and hung up. I looked up the phone number and saw that he is with Paetec Communications Inc. in Boca Raton, Fl. My husband and I have been bonbarded with phone calls (on our home phone and both cell phones), for the past 6+ years, from companies trying to sell us prescription drugs, over the phone. There has to be some way to get these people legally shut down!

      Paetec Communications is also in NY, NY and in Fairport, NY. They keep calling me about a comput er virus, I told them to stop calling me, even called them back and the guy said he would take me  off his .list. I am also on DNC list. Then as soon as I hung up, I got a call from them, I told him not to call me, I blocked his number from my phone, then today I get a call, from ph# 19-1731 told him again not to call again. If you notify the Atty Gen. Office or FCC these jerks have your name, address, phone number and email address.

      Niecy, just don't respond to any of these calls. Ideally one shouldn't respond to calls from any strangers, this scammers assume that a lot of us might be retired or disabled somehow, and therefore senile. NOT!. Do not respond to their calls.

        Sadly not all of us can do that.  I am self employed so I have to answer every call and treat it like a business call is coming in.   Until laws are made that will seriously harm the scammers in the US and the government hold money to India until they eradicate the scam call centers, nothing will change.   Your government could do something about it but won't.  They want the tax money from the companies that let these scammers use their systems.   If you want this to change, everyone on this forum needs to harass their state rep & congressmen as often as the scammers harass you. Call multiple times a day every day until they do what you ask just to get rid of you.

    I just looked up the Paetec Communications Inc. in Boca Raton, Fl. at it lists their category as "attorneys", except, "Pablo" sounded like he could hardly speak english. Their address is 5100 Town Center Circle, Boca Raton, Fl. 33486. Their business "phone number" is (561)416-5600. I think it's time to start turning these people in for phone "harassment"!

    I been receiving these type calls from Michelle Williams (954-657-9778) who says she's with the Dept of Law & Investigation concerning a matter of money I supposedly own them.  She barely speaks english and do not allow you to ask her questions.  She also asked for my attorneys name and number because a warant will be put out for my arrestin my county.  She says she has all my personal information and that I have not tried to resolve this money issue; an issue that I am unaware of. She even has my work number and calls it as well.  I told her to do whatever it is she has to do and let them come on and get me.  She then says that I can take care of this matter of $479 today to avoid the warrant being put out.  I asked her who she was collection this money for and that I didn't out anyone this amount.  She continues on to raise her voice, so I hangs up, she calls back.  Finally, I told her I was reporting her to HOMELAND SECURITY for fraud.  She said whatever.

    SEARCH:  the number she called from is a mobile number licensed by PAETEC Communication out of Pompano Beach, FL (Broward County).  Paetec is now WINDSTREAM.

      There is no dept of law and investigation . Do not give this person any money.  Call the FBI and they will look into it since she is saying she is with the dept of law and investigation. Paetec Communications is also in NY NY and Fairfield, NY, Maybe not the same but close, because I get calls about a computer virus.  Scammers!!

      I had the exact same call! What is this "arresting" and "suing" in "my county" they are all a bunch of bully's and I am SOooOo tired of my phone ringing ALL off the time! I reported them to the FTC and my hope is that the threatening calls will stop because I am sick of being harassed on the daily!

      Omg they did the same thing to me!! Said I had a debt with a company I'd never heard of. She then asked me to verify my SSN which I was smart enough to NOT do.

      I keep receiving the same calls. They leave a voicemail message telling me that a final decision will be made regarding a case against me. When I looked up the number it was out of Yulee Florida and showed them somewhere in the woods out there.

      I just got a call from my work place telling me that i missed court and had to call back within 2 hours to avoid court. The secretary from work told me that the last part was stated really reallt fsst then they hung up. The call when i did reverse lookup was from some place in California,  and the company name was paetech communications. Really kakes me angry when they starr calling my work, hiw the hell did they get my work number.

    I had been getting phone calls from all kinds of numbers all from new york saying I owe them money, usually around 480.00 which I don't.They also tell me they got all of my info,don't know how. Told them to send me papers of the company i owe and the acct # address etc. and they won't do it. I told them to do whatever, that they wasn't going to a dime from me. Oh yeah, they say they are from the american legal department can't hardly understand them,and they have american names scott bell,andy hunt,gary jones etc. I wrote down all the names and numbers they told me. I have called the state attorney general office {consumer fraud division}. The calls quit for awhile now they have started back up on cell phone i put them on my reject list, the call still comes in but it don't ring and it says missed call,a little better than hearing it ring all day. Those people are very rude and intimidating,threating, but i had one to tell me he loves me told him what an idiot. They end the call with god bless.

    they call fromm alabama from the number 2053132588 just as rude and seem to think they have
    all the info on you ask them to send you a copy of the so called debt owed and of a copy of your
    signature on said debt

    I have been getting calls on my CELL phone for the past couple of weeks. From (760) 680-6895 and (303) 249-9700/. I have asked for them to stop calling several times. Most time they hang up on me. They are both saying they can reduce my credit card rate. I don't know how to get them to stop. I guess I will make a complaint to the FCC and wirte the letter like others have done, but it's annoying since it's EVERYDAY for the past couple of weeks.

    I got a call from the number 973-854-2785. The person on the other end who is hard to understand says he is a state investigator and that I owe $450.00 that I borrowed to buy a forklift. Ha ha! The thing is that these people at Paetec Communications which the call traces back to know just about everything about me including where I bank and claim that they are going to put out a warrant for my arrest. I told the idiot to go to hell that he was not legit.

    It is obvious that these guys have access to people's credit reports because he knew where I work, and where I bank and he even rattled off my social security number which I lied and said it wasn't mine. The fact that these people have this info and that this has probably been going on for some time and the government either can't or won't do anything, suggests that this group whoever they are, are in fact connected to someone in government.

      What you are reporting is consistent with a common fake "debt collection" shakedown racket.

      Some of them do pull credit reports, and attempt to claim you "owe" them for some account they find there. They also access skip-trace information, used to locate relatives or employers.  You could pull your own reports and look for their inquiry.  If there, it will probably be days before the start of their harassing calls.

      Complaints against that number, starting only 2 weeks ago.

      Short complaint histories are often an indicator of an entirely fraudulent shakedown racket, as they keep changing numbers to avoid being tracked.

      "They tell you there is a law suit attached to your social security number and they want you to confirm your number with them"
      "Cash Advance"
      "State Depatment"
      "saying that my SSN is under invistigation "

      They sound like typical Indian con artists.
      Can they pull credit reports?  Not usually, although they run fake "payday loan application" websites to try and capture id information they use for these scams.

    the number im getting is 609-227-4849 i get 6 a day its paetec comm they want $430.00 from me. i have blocked that number another caols its annoying.

      I just got a call 718-687-1502 and it was an Indian guy that said he was Officer Jim Parker and that he had my ssn and that i needed to call back as I would be in big trouble if I didn't because there was a lawsuit against me.  How do you get them on the do not call list?  What number?
