Won't stop calling

Complaint

Debbie Gibbs
Country: United States
I would consider this phone harrassement.  Rachel from Cardholders Services has been calling for years everyday 2 or 3 times a day.  Today I took the option to let them know I am on the do not call list.  I said to them " hi my name is Debbie and I am on the do not call" and he just hung up on me.  I do believe they must have heard of the complaint before.  Please help us.

Thank you.

    I received a call today.  When I threatened to report them to the FTC, she threatened to empty my accounts!  The calling number was 347-263-2551, but it was surely a fake.

    Was just called by Card member Services (405) 958-8345 but when you call back, it says the number is not in service.  The man I spoke with told me that his company's name is on the back of every single credit card company's bills. (Not on mine!)  Anyway, it seems there is nothing you can do to stop them.  If you ask to be removed from their list their either curse and hang up on you or just hang up on you.  Why doesn't the FTC do something about this?

      Why should they?  They can a piece of the illegal gains from these companies.  The owner of a large fraudulent "credit card service" was indicted several years ago.  His name was posted online along with his address and family details.  I believe he lives in Miami.  An hour after reading the post about his indictment, I received calls from "Rachel" (or her friends)..  And she has called every day since from different numbers, all of them fake and stolen.  The only way to stop these crooks is to refuse to do business with them.  But there are millions of really STUPID PEOPLE who will believe the [***] and pay them money.

      Anyone you know ever give them money?  Tell us about it.

        I believe the robo-dialer you are referring to is Chris Rubini. He is among a very few , however that gave some good inside info about the Craig list ads for fronter goons..

        It may be hard to tell if any of them actually have come over from “the dark side” just cause they‘ve been sued. I've gotten info out of a few of em, if they are not whining and crying about the FTC. Hans Smit, former owner/dialer of Asia Pacific Telecom posted on the next page over,  I think. I have a Florida circus clown cardholder services "closer" tape recorded going through all the violations he’s been committing! Maybe I’ll put him on youtube with the idiot “fronter” that had a pissed off conversation with a Andrew Dice Clay soundboard. Both are part of the below survey.
        http://www.realmofdarkness.net/pc/sb/dice/5

        Survey on U.S. based  “cardholder service” criminal operations.
        Why do the “cardholder services” criminals mostly use white females, and black males as “live operators”?
        Does the predator match the “fronter” against its intended primary prey?
        Survey on U.S. based  “cardholder service” criminal operations from documented, and recorded incoming calls.
        Forty (40)  “cardholder service” robo-calls between 2012- 2014 were surveyed,
        out of hundreds received.
        They follow patterns of switching off to different call centers, dialers, fronters, live operators.

        Out of 40 surveyed  assumed ethnicity by voice;
        African American =    8 males   &    3 females
        Caucasian =       3 males  &   8 females
        East Indian =       5  males.
        Costa Rican/Hispanic =       3 Costa Rican males & 1 Hispanic female
        No connection to “live operator/fronter/rep“ =      9

        Time of day called out of 40;
        Morning =  12
        Noon  = 3
        Afternoon =  25

        Day of the week called;
        Monday = 5, Tuesday =  7, Wednesday = 9, Thursday = 5,  Friday = 6,  Saturday =1,  Sunday = 0, Day unknown = 7

        Levels of verbal threats, abuse, and harassment made by “cardholder services” by telephone;
        Almost a third of the connected calls are “Extreme”, and includes terrorist type threats, extreme racketeering, and/or carrying out more calls. The increase in verbal abuse committed by the telemarketing criminals almost doubles when compared to 2010-2011.
        No connection to “live operator”  = 9
        Medium abuse =   11
        High abuse =        12
        Extreme abuse =    8

    I don't know what to do anymore. I get a few calls a day, they just called and I pressed 9 to tell them to stop and he said "NO". I don't even own a card I pay cash for everything and he told me that I should use a credit card it's safer than cash. OMG I can't take it anymore they are even calling before 8 in the morning and after 9 at night. There has to be a way to get rid of them. The phone number is always disconnected when I call them back, how do they do this?

    You need to make sure you are on the Do Not Call list.  IF you are, then you should file a complaint EVERY TIME you get one of these calls.  If we get everyone to do this, it might finally get some attention from the FCC.

    File complaint here:

      The "Do Not Call" list does not work.  I've put myself on it several times over the past year and nothing has changed.  I don't even know why they have a DNC list because it's worthless.

      You think you are giving good advice, but it's a waste of time.  The phone numbers being used by these people are FAKE. Which is why you cannot return their calls, nor trace them, nor ever find them.  I told one "rep" of the company that I would kill her if I ever found her, and he laughed and said, "There's no way you can ever find me."  And she's right.

      My local telephone company, by the way, makes money from these fake calls.  They charge to block calls, they charge to change your phone number, they charge to unlist your number, they charge to trace calls, they charge for *69.  Do they want to stop these calls?  Hell no.  They are getting a piece of the action.

      Is this a great country, or what?

        BC, I agree with you;  yes this is a great country.  We have many tools to help us  solve problems.   In this case, we have the FTC in charge of enforcing the DNC.  However the DNC law is not being enforced. We are paying this agency’s  salary but we are not getting our money’s worth.

        The FTC has received over two million complaints since January; yet they have not provided relief to the citizen that hey are supposed to be protecting from these telemarketers.  Instead they like to go on the Web, TV and Radio and make excuses.  They blame on technology and on the citizens filing the complaints.

        We all are angry that we are doing our part of reporting these calls to the FTC and they just file them away.  We come to this site to vent our frustration.  Yet, as good as this site is, it is not  going to solve this problem.  We must, in addition to sharing information on this site, put feet to our complaints and  write to as many US Senators as you can and ask them to hold hearings to make the FTC accountable. Also ask them to bring  witnesses to testify about these telemarketer invading our homes and harassing our families and the lack of enforcement from the FTC. This is what I am doing right now.

        Those of you who are good at the social media, can do a great deal  to let other know that our Senators are the key to solving this problem.

        Again, yes this is a great country and we need to do our part to keep it that way. We have the tools; let us make sure that these tolls are working.

    I have been getting called by cardholder services for weeks so I finally pressed "1" to speak to somebody and when the guy answered and asked who he was speaking with I just said "the number you guys dialed is on the Natio-" And CLICK! he hung up on me before I even finished.  What a freeking jerk (stronger words are inside my head about that).
