Won't stop calling

Complaint

I would consider this phone harrassement.  Rachel from Cardholders Services has been calling for years everyday 2 or 3 times a day.  Today I took the option to let them know I am on the do not call list.  I said to them " hi my name is Debbie and I am on the do not call" and he just hung up on me.  I do believe they must have heard of the complaint before.  Please help us.

Thank you.

These people don't care about the do not call list and the phone company namely Verizon isn't going to do anything about it. Nomorobo has been out since April of 2013 however that only works with cable lines, the tradional landlines are still stuck with this hell.  In fact a few months back I was in contact with a consumer group from ABC15 out in Arizona and since Verizon is likely leasing these lines out to Card Holders which means we are stuck.

I'm getting calls from Carmen about 4 to 5 times a day.  The only way to get rid of these parasites is to change one's number.

Carmen and Rachel are plants from the phone companies to get rid of landlines which NO LONGER provide digital caller ID so there is no way to block them. The feds let them get away with it (they can make robocalls 100% illegal except for notification of emergencies).   Think about it.

    “Rachel, Carmen, Bridget’s Back Door Talk for “cardholder services” hiring more criminals, usually on Craigslist;
“L.I. (Lower Interest) Fronters“, = live operator, or card service representative.
“L.I. qualifiers and closers” “L.I. Rooms, L.I. Reps, L.I.F.A , AKA financial advisor, debt coach”.
L.I. reps/boiler-rooms craigslist ads. Four just popped up today.

There’s more than one way to hack cardholder services roboRachel, Carmen, Bridgett …
“The Federal Trade Commission is looking to expand the technological arsenal that can be used in the battle against illegal phone spammers by challenging DEF CON 22 attendees to build the ultimate “honeypot” to lure in and identify perpetrators of illegal robocalls. A robocall honeypot is an information system designed to attract robocallers, which can help experts and law enforcement authorities understand and combat illegal calls.”

My caller ID displayed my own phone number. I pressed "9" to speak to a representative and the man on the other end spoke with a mid east accent and it was difficult to understand him. I asked why my own number was on my caller ID and for the next few minutes my wife and I heard a wide range of profanity, racial and sexual insults, and threats to me if I was to meet him in person.        When will this garbage stop????  Does someone have to actually get hurt before the FCC fixes it????

Rachel from Card Holder Services has called me before and when I pressed the option to be removed from the calling list the calls actually increased in frequency.  At one point I was getting up to 5 calls a day!  I went to the www.donotcall.gov site and re-registered my number (it expires every 5 years) and then FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE FTC through the donotcall site.  The calls stopped for about 9 months.  The very first call, I went and filed a complaint and didn't get anymore, until today.  I just received another one, so I went and filed a complain with the FTC.  If everyone would get on the do not call list and FILE A COMPLAINT at EVERY violation, maybe something would happen!

Got a call from Card Holder Services this morning 727-459-0272.  Funny thing is I don't have any credit cards.  When the idiot that couldn't speak English got on he asked if I wanted to lower my credit card interest.  I told him I don't have credit cards.  He started his pitch.  I told him hold on. He stopped.  I told him I wanted the physical address and full legal name of his company.  He started his pitch over.  I told him to shut the hell up and repeated my request.  He said..."well if you don't want our help that is fine."  and hung up.

I called the number they called from.  It is for a person who lives in Clearwater and says she gets called from them constantly.

I know it probably won't help much, but I'm submitting complaints to FTC and my state AG.

There has to be a way to get these people to stop! Every time I block the call, they figure out a way to call from another number. I have tried to talk to a real person to get me off the list and they hang up on me. This has to be illegal! I am on the do not call list

They now are calling me three times a day.  I'm an elderly man with cancer & they won't let me rest.  These evil crooks are literally killing me!  Why can't the legal authorities stop them?  This has been going on for years!

The best defense I've found so far is to install an App on my phone like "Mr. Number".  I've been using that now for about 9 months and it has automatically blocked about 80% of these types of scammers.  When one gets through, just hang-up - then open the app and add the new # to their registry.  Then it will be blocked for you and for others using the app - several million people!

The app is totally free and is - so far- the only thing that has helped.  Ultimately, the government really doesn't care about this stuff and they'll never really shut it down.  The best defense - IMO - is for all of us to use a registry blocking app - then as soon as they start using a new #, it will become useless within mere hours.  If they can't get any business done, they'll have to give up or attack other markets.

If 700,000 people cancel their phone service due too Card Holder Services some of the carriers may decided to weigh in and rattle some cages some way some how. I realize they are not responsible but then again.....

"Carmen from Cardholder Services" robocall is calling 2 to 3 times daily. Press 1 to discuss your acvout, or 9 to be removed, and they hang up as soon as you say Remove me from your call list.   Caller ID says PRIVATE so can't get their number.  These tactics suck.   Why can't they be stopped?   Think next time I'll press 1 to "discuss my account" and have some fun with them!

It is time for eery citizen to ask the following question of each candidate for office in the USA:  "What will you do to put an end to the "Cardholder Services Calls" for good?  If they say that nothing can be done then they should be told how to figure out how to cooperate with the rest of the Local, State, and Federal Government to pass legislation at the State and Federal Levels mandating life in imprisonment or ideally worse for anyone who organizes such schemes.

We keep getting multiple calls a day from cardholder services too (our recorded voice says she is Carmen).  They are spoofing the numbers that they are calling from... I even had one that my caller ID said was my husband's name and our home phone number.  We get the hang up when we say do not call.  Short of ripping out our home phone line, am I am a loss what to do.

The other one we get all the time is, "Hello Seniors" where they want to sell us one of those Help I've Fallen and Can't get up monitors.

I got rid of all robo calls by getting them on and saying to them "home grown Al-Qaeda agent I have received encoded message, send all calls, flea bomb my white house and kill kill the fleas within".      Using keywords I have initiated an NSA wiretap" . Repeat over and over. I made a recording to play They no like NSA and go away.
