Won't stop calling

Complaint

I would consider this phone harrassement.  Rachel from Cardholders Services has been calling for years everyday 2 or 3 times a day.  Today I took the option to let them know I am on the do not call list.  I said to them " hi my name is Debbie and I am on the do not call" and he just hung up on me.  I do believe they must have heard of the complaint before.  Please help us.

Thank you.

I called a guy that supposedly owns one of these companies at his home phone number. Had to pay money to get the number. Anyway, when I asked if this was Card Holder Services he said he had never heard of that company. Also said this was "his house" phone and that he was going to block my number. Which I had already blocked him from seeing. He was very aggitated. Wouldn't most of us just say "you have the wrong number" Not him he was ticked. Awesomness!!!

How in the world do you stop these pesty calls.  I get 3-5 calls some days.  They start before 8:00am and can come at late as 9:00pm.  Pushing button 3 does not stop them.  Not answering does not stop them.  They just fill up your answering machine.  There has to be a way to stop this nonsence.

I get these calls, too, but over time, it does help to register a complaint EVERY TIME you get this call. These outfits--and there are more than one--do get closed down:

It's a pain, but they do get arrested or put out of business.

I stayed on the phone today when they called and I got a gentleman whom I told I do get them calls but do not have card member services. He informed me that if I have a master card or visa card, then card member services is for me to lower my interest. I told him that I'm on a do not call list and to please remove me. He told me again that if I have a visa or master card that they are allowed to call and do not go by the do not call list. I asked if they have to call every day and he hung up. I feel herassed!

I read somewhere that blowing an airhorn in their ear may help. I have done it twice, and the calls don't stop but at least they don't get a chance to be rude and hang up on me., Just press "1" then BLOW when they answer. Ashamed to say it felt good.

call your state and federal representives. If enough people do this I think they may be taken care of.

I'm fed up with them too, to the point that I got a different private phone #, and I often just unplug my phone.  Today I said, 'what do I have to do to get you to stop calling me?'  The guy on the phone just started singing to me.  I'm filing a complaint with my state's attorney general.

heck yes, tired of it, I have selected "not call" take off list" several times and it keeps happening. Harassment

After reading five pages of complaints that mirror my own and also seeing no real solution to the problem of "Rachel," I've decided to unplug my answering machine.  I have caller ID, so if I don't recognize the number, I plan on letting the phone ring and ring.  Perhaps if no connection is made, my number will eventually be removed from their Robocall list.

The Govt's unwillingness/inability to stop this harassment is neither disappointing nor surprising.  It is business as usual, to my way of thinking.

It used to be Rachael.  Then it was Ann (NOT dignifying that with an 'e'!).  And now they're sullying my name by using "Tiffany at Cardholder Services".

Anyway, I get these every few days.  I try to report them every time.  The department that deals with this sort of thing can only deal with what they know about.  If you report it only once but get 10 calls, they can only assume the problem isn't as severe as it really is.

Another option is to contact your state attorney general's office and your state and federal representative and senators.  If it's to the point of harassment for you,

If we all keep reporting, they'll get an idea of how severe it really is and that should bump it up on their priority list.

They are even calling my galaxy!  What I do is press one.  They ask about my balance, I tell them it's like 30,000, and I'm  paying all penalty rates, getting cash advances from one card to put on the other, or paying off a bit if I had a good day at the track and the new girlfriend isn't sucking it all up her nose.   Then they promise me the new low rates and ask for a credit card number. I tell them my wallet is upstairs, can they hold while I get it?  It will take a bit what with my broken knee from the problems with the other creditor.  Sure they can!  I then set the phone down and hang it up ten minutes later.  At least for that period, one of them isn't bothering someone else!

I like messing with them, so I give them a bunch of phony information to waste as much of their time as a waste of mine. At some point I tell them it's all just fake information so if they stop calling they won't waste their time. They don't stop but it's fun.

After being annoyed for a long time I tried to locate the caller and paid for a trace, but all I got was a neighborhood, without any specific information.  Then I tried to apply for a card so I could get a contact phone number, but I decided I didn't want to give them the information they were asking for.  Might be a scam looking for credit card information.  Know anyone that actuall got a card through this so-called service?  Pass it on and many will pursue the matter from there.
