They call your telephone number and leave a message telling you, you can make up to $38,000.00 a year just by processing their government mortgage insurance refunds. They charge $69.00+10.00 (S&H) for the start up guide and they let you know if you really do not want to do this kind of work to not press the number one key. They say at this 971-285-3130 number that your money can be returned minus the S&H if you are not satisfied or if you change your mind and do not want to do this kind of work. I believe her name was Nora, I asked if this was a scam and of course she said "NO". BUT IT IS! On 800notes.com there are many complaints about this scam. PLEASE spread the Word about this SCAM!

Has anyone found this company on the Better Business Bureau site? The woman said to look under zip code 97062, but I couldn't find anything with that name.
GOD BLESS YOU!
I stupidly gave my credit card info to the telephone solicitor and within seconds of hanging up realized what a mistake I had made. I immediately called my card company to stop the charge from going through and it was too late. It took less than five minutes for them to process it. I immediately called them from the number that had called me and got a "disconnected" message. I emailed them and got an immediate response telling me that the transaction would not be processed, that it would be voided, nothing would be sent to me, nothing charged to my credit card. This was on June 10th. On June 12th I received the "packet" in the mail. I emailed them again and asked how the would like to resolve the issue. Today I received an email that said they would send me a check for the $79 and that I should send them back the "packet" which I took to the post office and sent off.
I live in Portland and GMI Enterprises is located in a nearby suburb so this process should not take more than a few days. If it takes more than five business days I will pursue this issue differently.
I will say that the emails I received from 'Jeremy' were polite, apologetic and timely. In my email to him, I apologized for being so suspicious and explained that I could not afford the other (undisclosed) costs associated with the program that I had learned were necessary for participation.
I am not sure what constitutes a "scam" and I do not believe that this company engages in fraudulent practices but I do believe that companies such as this one do rush "mark" (the intended target for the dupe) into doing something that they would not ordinarily do. They do this by claiming and affiliation with the "government" and by moving quickly and succinctly through their sales pitch and by making it sound official and a genuine opportunity that is being provided by an agency working with the FHA. GMI does not work "with" the FHA or any other government agency. They are selling information that is available for free from the FHA and there is nothing illegal about this, but it is of a dubious ethical nature.
It is capitalism of a somewhat unsavory nature.
I will post the outcome of the resolution of my voided transaction and supposed return of my funds. I would be interested to know if anyone has had a similar experience with GMI Enterprises. As I stated, I do live nearby their place of business and can seek them out physically if necessary. I truly hope it does not come to that and they have been responsive thus far so I have no reason to believe that it should not be resolved smoothly. We will see.
It'll cost you more than they tell you once they hook you in.
DON'T DO IT!!!
When i asked her if she worked for a call center with many clients or just GMI. She hung up. This is a scam. I've been scamed before. Once bitten-twice shy.
