They call your telephone number and leave a message telling you, you can make up to $38,000.00 a year just by processing their government mortgage insurance refunds. They charge $69.00+10.00 (S&H) for the start up guide and they let you know if you really do not want to do this kind of work to not press the number one key. They say at this 971-285-3130 number that your money can be returned minus the S&H if you are not satisfied or if you change your mind and do not want to do this kind of work. I believe her name was Nora, I asked if this was a scam and of course she said "NO". BUT IT IS! On 800notes.com there are many complaints about this scam. PLEASE spread the Word about this SCAM!

Just got the call 10 minutes ago.  I explained that I would have to investigate the company before I could give the credit card information.  I could tell this was not what they wanted to hear.

Why can they not be stopped?  If this is really a scam, should they not be charged and prosecuted?

I received the package in the mail today.  It looks like an attempt to committ money laundering.  But they type everything out to make it look professional, but to me it does not look legitimite.  I was expecting software, and all I got was Microsoft word documents, plus, I gave them 69 dollars plus 10 dollars for shipping and handling.  I canceled my bank card the same day, and disputed the charge.  The package is very tiny, something smells fishy for sure.  The address on the package; GMI Enterprises LLC, 2050 Beavercreek Road Ste 101-393, Oregon City, OR 97045.  I recieved the call from California, CMT CMT, California.  I hope this information can help in any way.  My email address is; rgrubds702@zoomtown.com, if you have any further questions.

I just got a call from GMI Enterprise and I told them I wanted to check out there site before I order anything.  I really wanted to check out to see what was out there about them. I want to thank all of you for posting what has happened to you and I thank my good sense to not get pulled into another rip off. I don't think there is much out there to do at home and make money. If there is I guess I won't be doing it because I won't give out my information online or over the phone and I will not pay another penny to find out.

Yea they don't give you their name until they got your money. And they give you a web page that is from the Goverment but it's for taxes.  That's sad that people are making their money that way. I really need a job at home to.

This company is not really a scam, but it is a bad company, the reason you have to pay for the list is deniability by GMI.You buy the homeowners information from a secondary party. You become the "scammer" to unknowing homeowners. The government DOES NOT pay you, basically YOU keep a homeowners government refund check, until the homeowner pays you money to give them their check. You become what Hud calls a TRACER!! This practice is legal, but not really ethical. Beware if you are a homeowner, to get your money from these people, you will have to sign a power of attorney.

i bought the package also for 79.00 and when i got it it had a cd with forms to send to persons who might be entitled to a refund but no list , the list i looked at they wanted another 49 dollars for so i called and got a machine and left a msg and the lady called me back and gave me a number so i could return the packett for a full refund. i sent the refund express with fedex and will let you know if i get my refund.
i only looked up the part where the government is trying to refund these people their money and it looked ligit at the time but i was expecting to go to work right away with a list of people to help, so when i didnt get the list that really worried me about sending any other money. thanks for this thread

Wow...I just almost bought this stuff...I asked the operater a couple of questions like how do you do it, how many do you actually get? Then I asked her what is the actual name of this company, so she says GMI Enterprises..so then I told her that I would think about it and I would get back to her...I'm glad I decided to look this company up! The website seems to be legiate! But I'm happy I came across this website! Thanks for the Info people! I'm deff. not doing this...

I am an idiot. Well I haven't finished reading all 7 pages yet, but I am going to ask more questions anyways. I won an ebay thing about some company and opportunity and the important thing about that is they wanted me to give 2 times to contact them. This didn't say "Classified Ad" on the ebay listing. I missed the first call but heard the answering machine go on. It sounded like a live person. And then right before the second time frame occured, I got another call and let the machine get it. It was automated message but I answered it anyways thinking it was the same company. I don't know if it is or not, but I answered all their questions, I was a tiny bit concerned about the information package. The reason why I wasn't that suspicious is because they said it was refundable. They wanted immediate payment. And Even when I said I didn't have that much money this month, I told them that and they said they could wait until next month to mail it.

If I can't get a stop payment in on time, I'll live. But will they withdraw money other times?? Do I have to cancel my card number? Perhaps I will cancel it anyways and secretly get a new card.

I am even dumber than I thought I was a few minutes ago. The website clearly says that you have to pay for each list.......

I wonder if it is possible for me to just make sure they get the checks and not charge any fees. It would be a kind of charity service at my own expense. lol. =S Something that should only be done when other investments are doing well and when I have pretty much retired otherwise......
