1)T.V. informercial for this herbal product.  $9.95 for shipping and handling which is supposed to be a 30 day free trial offer.  NOT SO. Recurrent shipments and charges are then charged to your credit card account.

2)2/2/2/2010-ordered product.  Billed and charged $9.95-Shipping and Handling.  Called 2/8/2010 to cancel.  Order received 2/8/2010 and was  returned unopened 2/8/2010.  Without my express permission I was enrolled in several other "Up Sales" which I have had difficulty in canceling.  You have several "LAYERS" of other "Offers" associated with the purchase of your product which I did not want and told the first customer service rep.  She enrolled me anyway and told me I could cancel in thirty days.  IF ANY OF THESE ENTITIES CHARGE MY CARD WITHOUT MY PERMISSION THE INTEREST RATE WILL GO UP.  I WANT CONFIRMATION OF CANCELLATION

I have just sent this letter to the UK based address, recorded delivery and kept a copy for myself as CAB suggested.

    I have contacted trading standards.

And I will not be letting them get away with this....

To the rest of you, please do this too! So they cant carry on doing this to people!

    Dear sir/madam,

A consumer protection distance selling regulations 2000

I recently bought a free trial from your company; natural health network.
The product was Colon flow and Slim vida. The website stated they would cost £2.49 each, so I made my order on............
I received two bottles of the supplements, although I contacted the natural health network through email regarding the colon flow as it came quite late.
I was not told I would be receiving any more goods or any additional payments would be taken from my account without permission.
I was not sent a copy of the terms and conditions in paper form, nor was I asked to check a box which claimed I had read them.
On the................ I contacted my bank as a payment of £69.95 had been taken out without permission from me. The lady from my bank confirmed it was colon flow.
I am very confused as to why you think you have the rights as a seller to take money for a product which you have not even supplied to me?
And if the payment is for the free trial, then it is not actually a free trial and you are lying to your customers, which is against trading standards policy.
On the.............I contacted Natural health network asking to unsubscribe and for my money to be refunded, I was denied that right.
I am now seeking further advice from trading standards and will carry on with further action till this is resolved.
I have received no further products apart from the free trial, so I want and expect a full refund of my money £69.95.
    My order number is.................
    Yours sincerely

i used to work at call centers like these. people there even had college degrees and everything but have a long hard look at how our economy is... i took the job for s**ts and giggles. we were only rude if the customer was rude. i seen that commercial. it does say you pay shipping and handling and about the auotplan. you men/women are complete dumba**es and can't understand simple words. you can say yes and you can say no. that's ur first dumb issue. you people obviously saying yes because that's how we got ur card number. as far as i know about the product we sold, stuff might give u AIDS or something... don't let a tv commercial be ur new "doctor". we say all the charges and when they occur up front in simple black and write. it's u messing it all by saying yes. thank u for my commission and i laugh both at ur ignorance and the trite u will receive in the mail or not receive it at all. we had some hot ghetto hunnies working there. minimum wage? hell no, top sellers like me were fat paid. i drove around in a bmw x5. half the time we couldnt understand your hick southern accents or the ghetto people calling in or the old farts who only believed in a check book. man, it's the new age, if u aint got a debit card, ure in for a world of s**t. please go away with that bull. so you flunked outta 3rd grade and they still gave u a credit card? no wonder the economy is the way it is. at times the company wasnt right, like making fun of all the callers whether they bought it or not and saying comments like "i'm going to eat you" right in the middle of the sales pitch. now that day was funny. that guy played it off smooth as butter. we also sold $2000 worth of "FREE" coupons (we called them vouchers). that s**t was hilarious. i had one lady cry on the phone because she was sooo happy and praised Jesus cause her husband just lost his job and were in debt. so u know i sold her them "vouchers" for S&H of 19.95. i laughed driving home from work in my bmw x5. one lady sounded hot on the phone earlier so i had her text a pic to my phone. i'll call her when i get back to my condo. all in all. just listen and understand words bigger than 4 letters long. idiots. u all screwed yourself on purpose. the "customer service" dept can't/won't give u the money back. saying yes is a binding contract. it's all recorded. we'll just sue you back. all of that was explained in the initial call.  wacka wacka

      Dear Cheech Minus Chong

First of all, not all consumers order trough telesales, there are indirect purchase opportunities where the information provided is not satisfactory for fare trading.

Secondly your language utilised in your post reflects exactly the level of education and intelligence, which by the way must be pretty poor. If you would carry out a research, you would find out that yes, it is in the limits of legal trading whatever this company is doing, however only in USA. Other European countries do have more strict legislation when it comes to  this sort of trading.

Thirdly, I am working in a sales company as a Learning Specialist who is actually training the people like you, and in all-honesty our company policy  is against behaviour as yours, furthermore our companies reputation is more important than allowing ourselves to make revenue trough scams like this. They do say " it is easy to win a customer but it is harder to build and have loyal customers".

In the end of the day Cheech MInus Chong whoever you are, be so kind and drive around your BMW x5 and get lost with your bullsh.....   as you make me puke from the stupidity of yours ( tried to my best to lower to a [***] level in my post hoping that at least the last part  was understandable for you )

Sincerely a person who knows both sides of the story .

    No Scam Here
Working for a company that sells many different products for many different companies I know how this all works. When you call everything is told to you up front. Just because you don't listen does not make it the telemarketers fault!!!! A free trial is only free if you don't return it before the trial ends. Then you are charged for the full product price. You have to agree to auto ship. All calls are recorded for your protection and the protection of the agent. If we do not tell you everything the sale is reversed and you don't receive the product!!! We also get written up, suspended, or terminated depending on the offense. The products do work but maybe not for everyone because they are all natural. Some people don't respond to them. hence the money back guarantee!!!! Everything expected of the consumer is stated in the phone call. No gray areas!!!!!! In a society that is so frail it is a good job and hard work. they do back round checks and drug testing to the employee's. As for the companies they sell for I can't speak for them. they all have customer service numbers we give them on the phone and come with the product. do your homework before ordering is my only suggestion. Don't take it out on the sales agent for wanting to support their families.

    Regret
Guess what people, I got hit with the reduced rate of 69.95 after they tried to convince me of the coupon deals that are supposed to be so advantageous. I later canceled the whole thing and returned the remaining product (both bottles, one partially empty) before the 30 day trial period ended, post marked at least within a day or so of that period. I got a confirmation # that it was cancelled and they CHARGED MY ACCOUNT  $69.95 ANYWAY.. Now I'm talking with my bank to have the charges removed. By the way, if you have ordered the product already and might be thinking to send it back, you should put a stop payment on this product right away!

you can go into a store and buy this similar type of product, with some advice from a health food store employee, you don't have to have to buy online, there are products around that can give you the cleanse and then you can maintain regularity with a gentle laxative, suitable for daily use, honestly, anything that is advertised on TV with free trials, is always going to be a scam and cost you more money than you thought, has been going on for years, I checked this out because i wanted to see what ingredients were in the colon flow and how much it actually is, you can get cheaper products in a health food shop in Australia
