I have repeatedly received phone calls from an Indian Call Center caliming to be representatives of a Law Firm, ACS. I have done some research into this "firm" and have found it to be completely fraudulent. DO NOT give any information to these people and forward any information you have to the FBI...

    Wow, crazy, I just found this site today... for the past week a guy by the name of Jack Wilson was calling my place of employment, doing the whole deal, of threating police to arrest and so on, same exact things you all are saying above.  I tried the phone number through my work phone and it didn't work but, on a cell phone it did and the guy answered "hello" we asked for him by name and gave him a wrath of [***] for calling us so many times and threating and even told him the conversation was being recorded.  He eventually gave up and hung up on us.  Maybe that will be the end of him... we'll see........ ---Wow, crazy!!!

      OMG this Jack Wilson has been contacting me also saying a warrant is going to be issued in my state so I called the number 3103886342 and he wouldn't give ne info to me so I threatened my lawyer and he hung up. He was Indian as well.  Not sure who to report this to.

    Yes i recieved a call from this number today 310-999-0442 saying i took out a cash avanced loan from them for 300.00 and i do not do that. they even had my last four digits of my social security. Thing is i pay my bills online but i never give out my social to anyone. I never borrow money online either. i told him this and he kept it up and he new where i worked and all and threatened my employer. What do i do. I do not owe anyone any money. are they a fraud. and what do i do about them having my last four digits of my social

    Can you please let me know what happend because these people also contacted me and told me they were going to take me to jail. I said you are not going to take me to jail for 300.00 but they kept it up till i hung up. My email is skyboltkl@yahoo.com

    Just tell them when they call that you have spoke with Doug Zloto with the dept of homeland securities and that you know they are a scam and you will not be paying them. It seems to work for a short period of time but if they keep calling just keep telling them the same thing. What ever you do DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION

    I have recieved calls from this company ACS Stacy Wilson and Kevin are reps I spoke to the number 760-689-2793. The say they are represting Cash Advance, well I had a payday loan back 2007 and I paid in full and I have the proof and I have nothing else, so I asked them the clients name and telephone, they could not provide it for me, I ask for the TIN, there mailing address so I can mail certifed funds, they told me the only way is to get a credit card or prepaid debit card, I contacted CASH ADVANCE and asked them if they have a firm representing them, I was told NO, we are not afflicated with this company. IT IS A SCAM, I reported to BBB and FBI.

      I received calls from a Whitney Drake who also said similar things as mentioned above! In fact she left a message with a return phone number. She have me a case number and said if I didn't return the call the case would go to court! I have called the number but no answer but her name is on the voice answering machine!.. I'm glad I looked up this company online and read all the comments above! I haven't given them any information or money!

    They have my last 4 digits of my SSN and zipcode, well I work for the Department of Justice and I told my supervisor the United States Attorney and he assured me that is a complete fraud, contact your local FBI amd report and BBB. I believe these payday loan companys are selling peoples information

    They contacted me and a David Parker called, he sounds of East Indian decent... and a Kathy Wilson...  Strange names to have if you are of East Indian Decent.. Is this a scam I am worried..

    I received a threatening message from the 'legal Dept of ACS' today on my work phone and on my cell. My son called to tell me he had received a very odd and scary voice msg on his phone #. My ex-husband forwarded to me a very threatening voice msg that he also rec'd today - about me and the fraud I was involved in and the 3 things I had defaulted on. NO SUCH THING EVER HAPPENEd. Before I realized what was going on, I returned their call. I asked for james Johnson, the person who left the threatening messages to all 3 of us... I was given to James Johnson, whom I could barely understand... very thick Indian accent. Each time I asked him to slow down and repeat himself he talked louder and faster and would never stop. Finally I yelled 'STOP! and I think it startled him. He shut up for a second, long enough to finally tell me that I had taken out an internet payday cash loan and had not paid. I've never done this in my entire life. They threatened, saying they know where i live, where I work, that they may even show up at my home at night, etc and that the next call will be to my employer... They used poor grammar and were so rude. I was so upset... I called Clark Howard and talked to his staff. They told me to immediately check my credit report, lock it down (freeze it and put a fraud alert on it), which I did, read the info at ftc.com (federal trade commission). If they call me back, I will be ready for them. Go to the Clark Howard site and get the 'drop dea' letter in case they send you something. I went to the police station to file a police report and was told that no crime had actually been committed, as horrible as it is and that they get these calls every single day.... Lock down your credit report and keep your eyes open. Be careful what you make available on the internet and hold your breath!!!' Caller: ACS - 'James Johnson'Call­er ID: 347-292-8536, different extension or unknown  . I reported them to BBB of New York. Not sure what else to do. Went to police but they said no crime had been committed, so couldn't file a police report.

    I was contacted today byKathy Martin. She said I took out a payday loan in Aug of 2010., and I was with Bank of america. I have never taken out a payday loan, and I was not banking with Bank of America. She would not give any information regarding the "law suit", that I would find out when they come to pick me up. They being the police. I couldn't understand half of what the lady was saying and she kept putting me on hold. She finally hung up on me.DEFINATLY A SCAM!

    Thank God for this site!!  I just received the same type of phone calls and I googled and find all of this information.  Its SCARY that they have the information they do...last 4 of social, home address, previous employer.  I hope that eventually they get caught and all of the "court and arrests" that they are threatening, happen to them for doing it to innocent people!

    I got calls today and last year. I urge you guys to go to your police department and get them involved. Have your police department do the call backs for you they can try and trace the calls. Send letters to the media which is what I have started and hopefully it will air like good morning america. They threaten you, threaten them back!!

    ive had the same thing happen to me. they calle dtwice in one day from two different numbers. this is totally a scam. i told them that i documented this call and the person i spoke with along with the number and told them that i filed a warrant on them. the lady told me to shut my mouth and started cursing me out. but dont give them any info. jus doc everything down and reprt it and get a warrant

    This is definately a scam.  They have called me several times looking for someone else.  Even when I tell them they have a wrong number they tell me I am going to jail.  Once I told them I AM a ploice officer they hang up.  Once you hear the broken accent I say just hang up.
