looking to buy a Magtag washer DONT DO IT.  We purchased our on 1/26/09 and we are currently waiting for the 4th drum/bearing assembly to be replaced.  It is on back order until 5/13/2011.  We have been waiting since 4/1/2011.  We called Maytag and basically got the too bad for you.  I was informed that since we purchased the extended warranty that it is not their problem anymore.  It is the problem of the service company.   I asked several times why they did not back their name, and the CS rep. made it perfectly clear it was not their issue.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Customer Service and even worse product!!!

    My maytag is junk too. Just out of warranty so they won't do anything. So no more maytags for me. Going to Electrolux for my next washer. So long maytag you will never have my business again.

    This washer has been giving me error messages since about 6 months after I bought it.  Since it was the first front load I ever bought and a Maytag I thought it was normal. I tried changing detergents but after al while the messages increased. A while back the door locked for 2 days with clothes in it. I had to throw them all away as I could not get the smell out on them. I had called a repair man but canceled the morning he was coming because after unplugging the machine and pressing buttons I had gotten in to work, it started the same thing with F21 again. I cleaned out the hose and drain in washer. It drained once and went back to not working. I'm having to buy a new machine. NEVER buy MAYTAG!!!

    Do you remember the old Maytag TV commercials? The Maytag repairman was the loneliest  guy in town, sounds like now he is the most hated.

    Maytag 3000 drum and bearings failed after 6 years of light/med use. Repairman said not cost effective to fix.   I expected much better.  Will not buy a Maytag again.

    Maytag 3000 drum and bearing failed as well after 7 years and now it's not worth it to fix it.

    I have the Maytag 3000 series also would NEVER buy a Maytag again! I have had nothing but problems every time its the power sensor and the machine will not go on and then we paid the repairman and he said he "fixed it" only then it happened again, he then came out again and told us if it happens again to unplug the machine and let it REST! He replaced the sensor (I think he mixed up the sensors and put back the old one) cost $325.00 and before that $225.00 Did that we called again and he came back and we told him exactly what we did he plugged it back in and wanted to charge us $95.00 for his travel time!  Refuse to pay him and still have no washing machine

    CONSUMER BEWARE;
     Never purchase the Maytag frontloader washing machine. We purchased the Maytag series 3000 frontloader washing machine
    from Lowes . Since the first six months of purchase, we have had nothing but problems. Error codes constantly, wont drain,
    drain clogged etc. Now it appears the control board is shot.

    Maytag is very slick about contacting the corporate office. Good uck trying to get a human being. This is a solem promise. I will never
    purchase another product with Maytags name on it.  PURE JUNK AND THE SAD PART IS THAT MAYTAG CORPORATION KNOWS IT,
    BUT REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

    I also have a maytag 3000 set and yep bearing is going out sounds like a train trying to get out it.         I will never buy another maytag   Any suggestions on a good brand to buy ?

    Wow, can't believe all the complaints on the 3000 Series maytag washer. We just started the 11th year with ours and it still runs like new and never had one issue. Not sure what everyone is doing to their washers. It's been awesome for us. If and when it goes bad I'm going to get another one for sure.
