I signed up for 4 posters @2.00 each and was billed $32.48. I called to cancel the membership immediately 0n 10/18/07, they had already debited my account for another $48.00 which showed up after I had called. This charge was for two posters that I did not order. I called after the first charge and she said I could return the posters and I would be credited the original $32.48, I agreed to keep those not knowing they had already shipped 2 more for $48.00 more. The attorney general should shut down their web site.

They gave me the system glitch thing as well

what i did was i was charged once for the posters, that i had to pay, then i got the enxt few poster which i sent back directly and asked them to cancel the account (which they didnt because of a "system glitch")

then i got another charge the week after so i when i called to cancel again i got a cancellation confirmation code and the person i spoke to's name and it was cancelled

and when they received the posters i didnt get a refund so i filed a complaint with my bank (in this case B of A) and then sure enough got that money refunded as well

This is a violation of FTC regulation and the Postal Reorganization Act of 1970. Any shipment that comes through the US mail that is unsolicited, may be kept by the person who received, without the recipient being obligated to pay any charges. I would report this...They got my boyfriend too.

Contact the FTC, this is a violation of the Postal Reorganization act of 1970. Recipients are not obligated to pay, and should not have to return the product for a full refund!

Do you all see how it took a year to get that response from Poster Pass.  Sorry but I just must point out that the Shelia Mr. Berman has responded to posted in Oct. of 2007.  His response is dated Nov. 25, 2008.  Hmmmm. Interesting.

I ordered 3 posters for .99 cents each.  They charged me $34.00 for shipping and handling???  Then 3 days later I got 3 more posters which I did not order with a bill for $39.95.  3 days after that the same thing.  I called the company, as they were taking the charges which I did not authorize, off my child support debit card.  They told me to return the last two sets, pay the postage for quicker return of my money.  So I did that.  That was in July, I still haven't gotten the $90.00 dollars back.  Why are these people not being charged with something???

I too was scammed by this company, but contacted the BBB in Illinois and had my credit card account changed, they did refund me 239.00 after the BBB contacted them, its easy to do this online. Just google the BBB in Chicago and they have a online form and the company has 3 days to answer the complaint. It worked for me. I feel this company should be forced into closure for their unfair dealings.

They tried to scam me as well, but I used the PayPal Plug-in Secure Cards and it stopped them from charging me additional amounts.  Look into getting the PayPal plug-in and start using secure cards!

Sorry, should give a little more background.  I signed up for the 5 posters for 5 bucks with no shipping costs.  The next day they tried to bill the same credit card 38.90 for something from classicdecordirect.com.  Because I used the PayPal one-time use secure credit card, the charges were denied!  Ha ha.  The pending charge of 25.00 on my PayPal account won't be charged either, because I went in and closed the one-time use card I created for that transaction! They won't even get my original $25! LOL!

I have been ripped off by this company.  I am 53, on disability; and thought I was getting a poster for S&H.  I've now been taken for over $152.00 in 9 days.  I had to file a complaint with my bank; on-line business complaints, and discontinue my Visa debit card!!  I've had to have my husband go to the bank 3 times this week; to deposit money to cover for overdrafts created by this company continuing to rob me of $39.00 over and over.  Not to count the # of times he's had to go to the Post Office to return their damn posters, paying for this, etc.  Now I got another package today; and another charge to my account.  Even though I d/c'ed my debit card YESTERDAY; they said this company put the charge in on the day before; and it only went through today-after my card's gone; and there's nothing the bank can do!!  I just had a small stroke, followed by a 4-day hospitalization.  I feel stressed so much by this, I could have another small stroke.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Filing BBB report today...ordered the initial discounted 4 @ $2 to be received in about 10 days and semimonthly shipments if not cancelled..ordered the initial discounted ones on June 10th..by June 15th had the first $16.00 charge plus $39.80 on the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th (for a total of $175.20) and caught all the charges on my statement and cancelled the card not having even received the original order yet! Refused all shipments after calling posterpass and my bank..and here's the kicker..one of the 4 $39.80 charges, they cancelled the shipment before it shipped and 1 1/2 weeks later they haven't even credited that one yet much less the refused shipments. The news report is a great idea, going to contact a station where they are located though.

Thank you so much for that link!  I also was scammed by posterpass.  I wish I could say my situation was a lot like everyone else's!  They got me for over $500 in two weeks!  Needless to say, I've been fighting tooth and nail to get that money back.  I've been calling their customer service and every time I do, they tell me something different.  Also, they're snippy with me, considering I'm the one they stole from!  I filed a complaint with the BBB and I feel a little better, thanks to you.  I just don't understand how these people can continue to do business!  Bless you for making it so easy to file that complaint!  I didn't know where to start!

    Credit card banker
Everyone that responds to these internet offers needs to realize that an offer that sounds too good to be true probably is!  Anytime all you pay is "shipping and handling" for a small amount always results in a membership where further fees are charged.  Read the small print, folks!  Terms and conditions, while very boring, are there so that they can, in fact, charge more later, legally.  My first visit to the posterpass.com site (in response to a credit card customer who is trying to dispute two charges for $38.90) I saw the terms and conditions, which clearly state that it is an ongoing service.  Your credit card company should not have to take the loss for your negligence in checking out the terms that are there.

Maybe so, BUT... they still don't tell you EXACTLY how they're doing it.  I ordered 4 initial posters for $16.  Fine. I was going to cancel the "membership" after I received my first shipment. That's how it SHOULD be. Turns out, they don't DO it that way. I was charged $16 for the first 4 posters (which I had NO problem paying for), then they charged me $39.80 TWO separate times. All at ONCE! And I hadn't even received my order!!!  I finally DO get my order (two boxes in two days) and one box has the 4 I ordered and the other box has 2 I didn't. I have to send the box back to get my refund. (Yes, I will be getting a confirmation on that, thank you to the person who said it so I don't forget). They have no right to charge you THREE times in one shot.
