Exactly right. Keep them on the phone. Ask for their website and credentials. Ask them to spell their name. Keep them dangling on the line if you can

This is perhaps what I am looking for: I receive anywhere from 1 to five calls a day from something called "casrd Member services".  When i say to the agent "Remove me from your database," they hang up -- often before I finish that sentence.  This has been going on for over a year and I am well fed up!  What does one do?

This is what the sales man referred to me as while I was trying to ask to be put on the do not call list! He, Jason Burrows, would not let me talk to his supervisor or another representative. And continued to tell me that I had called him. But, being the "Stupid Dike" that I am I have no recollection of the number. If this is the type of person that my banks, and I do question that part, I may need to seek elsewhere for my finances.

Same complaint as everyone else....CARDMEMBER SERVICES...OMG...they wont stop...Rachael needs to be shot!! I have politely ask to be taken off the call list, I have given them false information,I have told them I have no charge cards...I have told them I know they are a scam, I've tried everything I know of. This is ridiculous..these people are calling from a telephone number..there is no reason why authorities can not track them.
Where is our protection from these people??

One time I stayed on the line to talk to a real human.
I asked "who do you represent? His response was  "card me ber services".
I then asked where they were located --- his response was to hang up.

My normal rspocse to these calls it to hang up as soon as I heat "card member services".

I am been these calls on a daily basis for weeks. They are rude to me when I guestion them for details. I have called my phone carrier but the only thing they can do is put a tracer on her line at a cost. Going to try some the other hints listed to annoy them back.

    not going to be duped
i just spent over 1 hour on the phone with Consumer Relief Services.  They were wanting to charge my card $997.00...they kept trying to convince me that they were not a scam.  He even told me the BBB was mob owned and no one looks at that anymore when I questioned the "F" rating.  When I finally had just had enough and said I am not interested, he hung up on me....that does not bode well for a company trying to come across as legit!

They're still hard at it in NY. I get several calls a week from them. Stupidly, I've been trying to talk with them and get them to stop calling thinking that might stop the calls -- after all, whatever they're trying to get me to do they must have realized after the first 6 months of calling that I'm not going to do it. Apparently they haven't and the calls keep coming. My one smart move was to google "cardmember services" -- now I know much more about it and won't waste my breath with them. I will, however, complain to the FTC, the State AG, local newspapers, and anyone else that has more resources and clout than I have. I suggest you do the same -- this won't be addressed until there's a public stink. I believe pressure could be applied to the credit card companies to not handle transactions with whoever is behind these operations.

I told the woman that I would like to have phone sex and she transferred me to a male who asked for a card number to which to charge the phone sex but I said I won't pay talking to a [***]. Make it a game, such as replying in a foreign lingo if you know one.

You know ignorance is bliss on both ends of the Card member sevices adventure , why you ask ? Because if you really did your homework, you consumers who have this idea that the same banks you trust and trust so much has  been ROBBING you fools for years is still in existance for decades. Now do you really think the banks want to negotiate an interest rate reduction ? Well lets see now that there are laws written to protect you the    consumer everything is a scam. Now who's ignorant ! The real plot to this credit card services thing is to assist the same people the banks hate to help.

I have also been called repeatedly by Card Member Services.  They have not removed me but I did get a phone number 800-847-2911.  The guy on the phone said to check them out and call back for real help.  He hung up when I asked him for his name.

they have been calling me all summer and have now picked up the pace as the holiday buying season is here!  It really sucks!

I've been calls from Card Member Services for MONTHS now. I've pressed 1 several times to tell them to take me off their call list. I AM on the do-not-call list, but they disregard this. These calls come from 971-220-1002. Does ANYBODY out there know what the heck we can do to stop this crap??

We also cannot seem to get Card Member Services to stop calling our house either.  In fact, this being Thanksgiving, they had the gall to call @3:50 pm. I consider this to be very poor business tactics and classify it as a scam. Several times I have requested they take me off of the calling list.  On some occassions when I call the phone number they give, and someone answers on the other end, after telling them I do not want to be bothered for I have different credit card company, they abruptly hang up on me.  I would wish that our 'gov't' FCC would resolve this matter as I'm sure thousands of other people are equally disgusted with this practice.  Please, someone get to the root of this!
