Received 3 calls from these guys from 559-328-2353 at my office claiming to be some kind of Official US Branch of Govt. Anyways I called them to see what this was all about, and they couldn't get their names straight, So I asked for their address and the guy just hangs up. Its a SCAM of some kind for sure so don't fall for it.

    Just came home from work and played the answering machine. There was a message for my son (who hasn't lived here for 11 years). He said his name was Adam Rhodes from the Dept of Legal Affairs for the US Treasury Dept and it was concerning a warrant out for his arrest over taxes. He said my son was to "call back immediately and if he didn't have time to call he should have his attorney call". He said the number was 909-237-5370, he would  be waiting to hear from him and "have a blessed day!" Adam had a heavy Indian accent. I called back and he asked my name. When I told him he wanted to know where my son was. I asked him what this was about and he said he could only speak to my son. When I reminded him of the message, that he could speak to "his attorney" he said to have him call or he would be facing 6 months in jail! I immediately checked the caller id to see if it was a US government listing. It said Rialto, CA. Then I googled Dept of Legal affairs and found all of these posts!!

      Global Crossing is a telecom.
      These Indian scammers are probably using VoIP for their calls.
      Contact Global Crossing to report use of their system for phone extortion rackets.
      Maybe they'll cut off the account.

        Got a message from a officer Jennifer, badge # 7156,phone # 202-697-9718, today saying, they were from the us treasury dept, legal aaffairs,there was a case under my name, and I could be arrested if I don't call back.I tried but no answer. Looked it up and found out about this scam.

      Got the same exact message on the answering machine only for me. The same name of that guy also, does he think I'm stupid. Also got one from the IRS with a women's voice with a heavy accent, their on a roll

      I got the same message!  I  know it was a scam, because he said the same words, "Have a blessed day" at the end!  LOL

    My call was from Jennifer Linken. Number was 909-271-4402. Scam-scam-scam
    Jennifer sounded like a man though.

    Our call was from Kevin Green, Legal Affairs - 323-786-8599, indicating legal action would be taken & if we have an attorney to turn the matter over to them as this matter could become a very nasty legal matter.

    Keep getting calls from "Dept of Legal Affairs, US Treasury" from Palm Springs, CA  760-980-0838.  Total SCAM.

      I have also received many calls from them on my machine, they sound so ridiculous trying to read from a script. I look up their number on caller ID and block it, seems they have quite a few numbers also.

    Left message today 2/18/2015, 1:45 pm.  Same as all the previous comments.  Mine was from Carol Gibbs, 202-821-1155.  Heavy Indian accent.  Caller ID showed Sig-G-Technologies.  But caller said she was from Legal Department of US Treasury

    I had the same exact scam from phone number 856-448-8422 - also had a thick Indian accent and said the exact same things.  Too bad the US Gov't can't put these criminals in a US JAIL!

    I received a call today from 415-746-6051 at 10:00am.  The name on the caller ID said Lucasfilm.  The woman on the phone had an Indian accent and mentioned something about the Department of Legal Affairs and needing my lawyer to call her back.  She was looking for someone who has never been at my phone number. (I've had it for almost 20 years.)  I called back and it went straight to a man's voice mail stating he was with the Department of Legal Affairs for the US Treasury.  Luckily, years of being a receptionist has my BS meter turned up to eleven.  :)

    Received message from Catheline Straight Department of Legal Affairs saying I needed to call as legal action has started 7073272540. Each time I call they say they cannot hear me.
