Received 3 calls from these guys from 559-328-2353 at my office claiming to be some kind of Official US Branch of Govt. Anyways I called them to see what this was all about, and they couldn't get their names straight, So I asked for their address and the guy just hangs up. Its a SCAM of some kind for sure so don't fall for it.

    Same here.  323-287-5596. CID said "unknown caller" message was from "Michael" for my wife. Same spiel about legal action. Have not called number back.  Reverse lookup shows a VOIP number from LA.

    I received a call from 310-555-0119 which showed as DIR Assist.  Person did not say name. at least not clearly, but left badge number 4165.  I was told to call 202-697-9145 ASAP before I was arrested for some tax fraud.  I received no answer when I called back so looked this up and found this site.  This is the second call I have received regarding this in the last 21 months.

    Adam Walker 213-457-3672 is apparently still at it.  Having worked at a law firm, once a complaint is filed legal service is needed and a phone call is not part of it, nor is an immediate arrest (not on collections).  If someone calls in attempt to "resolve" (i.e. a law firm b/c after a complaint is filed a collection service is out of the picture) it is doing so to mediate or attempt resolve, threats don't usually get someone to the table but can get them to send money over the phone which is why your red flags should be sounding in abundance!!!  That said if you truly feel there is some substance to the call find an independent number for the Department of Treasury or whatever office he/she claims to be from and call them.  Even IF he was from a "collections" the threats he makes are a violation!

    Same call John Davenport "Dept. Of Legal Affairs" 760-790-4132.  Caller ID shows unknown number.

      I've had 3 calls from this same number 760-790-4132 from Brawley, CA, Indian accent, didn't give me a name. They want my husband, so I guess I'm off the hook! But he took the time between yesterday and today to learn my name. Scary!

    I got a call from 323-238-3879 someone by the name of James (Jim) Howard saying he was with the Dept of Legal affairs.  They told me to call back and have my legal council present because of the legal action being taken against me.  I knew it was a scam right away the person had such a heavy Indian accent you could barley under stand his message.  I erased the message and if they call again i will do the same.  I know enough about the legal system and the IRS to know they would not call me they would send a notice in the mail.
    These idiots must think we are all stupid.

    Got an automated hard to understand message a few min agree stating not who it was intended for, just this is dept. Of legal affairs we need to be contacted by your trial attorney immediately, leave your work at hand a side and call this #  631-985-1046 if you do not contact all I can do is wish you a good life and let you know your law enforcement team in your state will be at your doorstep today good bye. Crazy and threatening and it was odd so I came in the good old internet and found this. At least my suspicions are confirmed it's a scam. Stupid a$$ ppl

    I got a message from Steve Martin in legal affairs 517-798-3615. I could barely understand him! these people need to be stopped!

    I just got a call from the same [***]. Indian accent full of it and same as all above. Only from a 424 area code. LOSERS.

    I got the same phone call, heavy Indian accent, claimed his name was Mick Walker and he was from Dept. of Legal Affairs, the number it came from was 323-283-8050

    I cant wait to tell them to watch for me to. Meet them atvtheircoffice at Claremont , .ca. as I will have a chainsaw massacre waiting in the back of my SS. It will be so fun to get revenge.  Im SICK AND TIRED OF THESE [***] ON MY HOME PHONE. I WILL FIND THEM.

    i just received a msg from a robin smith regarding pending legal action for taxes not paid. she had a very heavy asian accent. i called back a few hours later and no answer. her number: 3232838198 scam-scam-scam!

    I got  threat phone call message from man name Steve Jones with a very heavy Indian Accent. The number 323-261-0712 from LA. Left a threating message. He stated that he was from  the Dept. Of Legal Affairs. He threatening legal action against me. Fools.!!!!
