Received 3 calls from these guys from 559-328-2353 at my office claiming to be some kind of Official US Branch of Govt. Anyways I called them to see what this was all about, and they couldn't get their names straight, So I asked for their address and the guy just hangs up. Its a SCAM of some kind for sure so don't fall for it.

    I received a call from a Craig David, Vollenter  for not "The" Department of Legal Affairs, but just Department of Legal Affairs.  He said he wanted to help me recover some money I lost to scammers.  He gave me the number, 312-350-3862 as a call back number.  I called back and it went through 3 changes finally stopped at voice messaging.  He also said a man will call me Monday.  We will see.

      I'm wondering if you got another phone call, Agnes.  I am supposed to get a call from John Carter, telephone number 404-548-4314, from The Dept. of Legal Funding today at noon, to tell me how much money the govt. owes us from a scam a few years back, including the amount we were frauded out of as well as punitive damages.  I'll report what happens next.

        I received a call yesterday from a lady saying she was from the Department of Legal Funding from (405)738-0992 and explained that I needed to set a time to speak with John Carter (804)347-4845 because I had been scammed and the companies that I had been involved with had all been shut down by the Federal Government for Fraud and that I was owed my money back plus a lot more. Shortly after the conversation with her, John Carter called me.  He told me that he was a claims adjuster for the FDIC and had my file in front of him. He went on to explain how things worked and told me that he would have his assistant, Craig Davis call me today to go over everything in further detail.  I have not received a phone call as of yet.  I'm not sure what is going on either but it would be nice if they were really trying to help, but something sounds a little to good to be true

          I need to retract this statement.  I was given wrong information about this company and therefore the information that I provided is totally incorrect.  I apologize for even commenting or posting any names, numbers or information regarding this company. I have no concerns with this company or anyone that I am in contact with.

      I have received calls from Craig David, legal assistant to John Carter with "Department of Legal Funding"  They have offered to help me recover over $40,000 of funds that I "invested" in e-commerce schemes - when David Craig called today he asked me to provide him with all of my credit cards, including the CVC #'s on the back, - this would have given him total access to ALL of the lines of credit that I have.  I told him NO !

      Are these guys for real ?  Are they trying to help or are they just trying to help get my money?  Has anyone gotten a real name of the company they represent?

      I have spoken with two men.  One says his name is Craig David and the head of the group is John Carter.  I also received a phone call from a lady who wanted to know how much money I had in my IRA and 401K but I would not tell her.

      Something does not sound right?

      1)   How did they find out that I was originally scammed by e-commerce fraud? (several times)
      2)  is this the same fraud but just a way to take what is left of any money the first guys missed?

    I received a call also from Ryan Johnson from legal affairs..what a heavy Indian accent for American name. Number 909 575 1004..I thought my husband was cheating on me but I checked on this website. Thanks for the heads up! Somebody has to stop this stupidity...

    I received a similar call this evening from a Danny Archer. He left me a voicemail saying it was urgent that I call him back at 202-591-1615. He claimed to be with legal affairs for the U.S. Dept. of Treasury as well. I thought it was kind of fishy since he never addressed me by my name. Instead he said "I have an important message for you." Guess they're onto different names now but same threatening message about federal criminal charges.

    Mine was from a woman, heavy accent, saying her name was James Hart.. REALLY it was a woman, your name is James.. !!! And yes agreed do they think we are all stupid.. OH yes kind sir/mame, please let me give you all of my personal information, my SSN, credit card and bank numbers..OH and while I"m at it let me give you my kids info and oh just for good measure here is a key to my house! What [***].. I hope they all rot in hell.. some poor unknowing person (or people) are falling for this and these horrible people are taking them for all their worth!   (oh phone number for mine was 760-849-0844) -put a block on it so hopefully no more calls.. will call the AGs office tomorrow!

    I have been getting calls from random weird numbers with no one leaving messages until today.  Got one from 909-343-1561..  I believe she said her name was Amy  and she was with the Department of Legal Affairs.  She said there had been a legal action against me and if I was unable to call back myself that it was recommended that I have my lawyer contact them.  She had a very heavy accent...Most likely from India.  She was very polite sounding and even told me to have a blessed day.  They must think people are just idiots here.  I can tell her what she can do with her blessed day.

      I got this same call this evening from 909-343-1584.  Her name was Jenny.  Very polite and wished me a blessed day.

    I got a call today from an Indian lady claiming to be with Dept. of Legal Affairs she said I should have my lawyer return the call and that there was a judgment against me the number was 949-269-7235 I hope its nor real

    I was called from 818-668-5371 and told it was the Department of Legal Affairs & they were preparing a case against me, when I expressed doubt they said they would see us in court & hung up.  LOL!

    Just got a call from Zack Snyder (very heavy accent)  regarding the unfortunate accident that happened on 6/4...So glad people are tracking this so I can insure it is a scam..

    they called twice saying from legal affairs.i called back and ask what there address was and the heavy accent said something an hung up.its a scam
