Received 3 calls from these guys from 559-328-2353 at my office claiming to be some kind of Official US Branch of Govt. Anyways I called them to see what this was all about, and they couldn't get their names straight, So I asked for their address and the guy just hangs up. Its a SCAM of some kind for sure so don't fall for it.

    I received the following.   Hmmmm, perhaps if he spoke proper English i could have proper told him to bite me....(readable voicemail) "This message is for Ken, this is Michael Clark with the department of legal affairs and I was trying to reach you in regards to hot issue this is a verbal modification for you in regards to law enforcement action that has been started on you know me. My number is 3474149286, that's 3474149286.  any reason you are this-a-call(?) back so just-need(?) to have you know you didn't answer you dude for you this is Elaine calling us but-didn't-having-to-leave-you-have-a(?) message for you I hope you take this right and call me back this is Michael Clark with the department of legal affairs. Looking forward to seeing you on building let's say goodbye.".... Nice try!  I see somebody else in this post received a call from Michael Clark as well.

    i just received a call from Kevin Spencer 357-781-4935 ext 106 who told me that I was going to jail and read three different "counts" that were being charged "theft by deception" was one of them.  These people are just awful. Also received a call from a Jason Brown who told me his employee ID is 786420

    Received call this past week from Carlos Warner. Thick Indian accent from the Dept of Legal Affairs, hopes he hears from my husband, verbal notification of Enforcement Action against his name. "A delay in response, could end up in a legal mess for you". If too busy have our attorny call for us. And ended the call telling us he hopes to hear back soon and to have blessed day. --- sounded suspicious!! Glad I googled and confirmed

    Received a call from Office of Internal Affairs, United States Treasury, Steven Smith, heavy accent,
    sternly asking to speak to my son.  Since my son wasn't here, he said to leave a message for him to call
    (347) 380-6986.  I told this person my son was handicapped, his legal guardian, and handle his affairs.  I said I wanted to know what this is about.    Smith said my son should call him.  I said he might as well talk to me since I would handle any matter anyway.  Smith then said my son would be sent legal documentation within 24 hours delivered to his street address.  I told Smith he had a strong accent & I didn't trust him - he hung up. Later I tried that same number again & got a busy signal.  I had better not receive anything delivered to my door!!  That phone number is long distance for me & I had better not receive any charges!!  Interesting how all these foreign people have such common sounding names isn't it?  They are ignorant & lazy.  I work for my money - why can't they?

    They are still out there trying to scam anyone they can. Had the same message on our machine today. Name was JCWhite. Number was 347-467-1194. Asked for our son, who no longer lives here.

    Received numerous calls from Ashton Cooper 619-798-8293 stating he is from the Dept of Legal Affairs and threatening me with legal action if I don't give him my social security number (haha) and get a criminal attorney.....Lots of Luck....total scam

    I received call today from someone with thick accent asking for me said he was from US Treasury but u could hear 10 other Indian accents in background like a telemarketer. I told him it was a scam and he told me to call my lawyer as they will be arresting me in 3 hours and I should call 347-474-0030. I did and hung up. Same accent and telemarket background saying Department of Legal Affairs with Department of US Treasury.

      If you go to the IRS website they have a link you can click on and report the number and name of the person who called. I already got a call like this earlier this year. Just got another and I said my husband is a cop and he said well you need to have your husband protect you. I said guess what idiot first I already had a scam like this and if there was legal action against me I would know. He said ma'am you can be rude all you want, I am just trying to help you and if I do as he says then he could not help me and he would make sure I was arrested today and I laughed and you are a idiot if u think I am stupid and if he is gonna have me arrested today then bring it on if you think you think you are gonna scare me by threatening my arrest think again idiot I have already contacted the IRS and reported your name and number and then he hung up!!

    "Sean Miller" 209-217-3647 out of Jackson, CA. Heavy East Indian accent. Told me he was from the Dept. of Legal US Treasury and a case was opened in my name. Told to call 202-591-1615 and speak to the senior officer of the dept. I'm calling bullsh*t.

    Mine is Adam woods # 347-770-3962, Bronx, NY on 8-11-2015 a weary pardon issue,and with the dept. Of legal affairs. I work for a bank,so I knew it was a scam!!!!!!! It was left on my machine.

    I just got a VM from Shaun Andrews with a heavy indian accent stating he was from dept, of legal affairs at 347-709-9942. I figured was a scam. Now that I've read all these posts, I know it was a scam.

    Received a call at 0700 from U.S. treasury legal department looking for my daughter who hasn't lived here in 7 years.  Brian King asked for her number which I refused to divulge.  The accent was heavy and the funny thing  was he answered on the first ring and there wasn't a phone tree which we all know never happens with a government agency!  Be cautious as always when giving out any personal information.

    I knew it was a scam immediately.    Who is protecting tne U.S. citizens from this nonsense?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

    Just got a call from 202 area code claiming to be an agent Jackson encouraging me to turn myself in or they would be forced to take legal action

    These people have been bothering me for years. The harassment will stop for a while then I will start getting calls from a different person. For a long time it was "Angela White" (Indian accent) but I never answered or returned her calls.  Now it is "Miss Helen Parker" with some kind of sing song accent that sounds like it has been electronically altered and they somehow have my work number. I picked up on a transferred call and confronted the woman and she said she would talk to my supervisor and actually did call her. If anyone knows how to stop this, please let me know. I know it is illegal to call people at work but they don't seem to care. The number is from Aberdeen, WA where there are no government offices of any kind.

    They are at it again. Total buffoon. Don't fall for this scam. Report them, call and harass them, etc.
