Received 3 calls from these guys from 559-328-2353 at my office claiming to be some kind of Official US Branch of Govt. Anyways I called them to see what this was all about, and they couldn't get their names straight, So I asked for their address and the guy just hangs up. Its a SCAM of some kind for sure so don't fall for it.

    i just got a call from alex white saying the same legal affairs crap i told them the irs does not call anyone they will send out letters and anyway i dont owe the irs scam artist foreign accents get out of here 929-312-3999

    These [***] called me as well today!  The number they left was 718 615 5162 from a so-called Leslie Owens.  I finally reached her and told her I will cut her head off when I find her!!!  Same scam:  Federal Treasury, Dept. of Legal Affairs.  These low lifes are [***].

    We got a call at 6:33 this morning from a lady with a thick accent (929-232-1051 NY,NY).  My husband called back. A man answered and knew who he was talking to by our phone number.  Kind of funny, I thought.  I worked for the IRS for 21+ years and we would never have been able to identify a person by their phone number.  To get a different person on the line that had access to that info. would not happen.  But I called IRS and they weren't open yet.  I  am still wating for the police to come pick us up.  I would hope this is a scam, I have claustrophobia!  Ha Ha

    Just got a call from new Jersey heavy accent and I told him to stop calling  my phone and he won't he thinks I'm someone I'm not

    Just got the same message from that number 909-999-6376 ..heavy eastern accent and knew she was reading the statement..a bunch [***] a holes I am getting sick of this crap...going to reverse white pages to verify scam...and then bombard them with calls telling then they are going to. Be sued....maybe give them a taste of it...

    Clearly a scam by Lesley Owens on 781-615-5162-Brooklyn NY  Asked for their street address. they slammed the phone down

    Our business eceived the same call from a Leslie Owens (thick spanish accent) at 718-734-1473, she left a message saying legal action was being taken against us.  I called the number back and a man with a thick Indian accent answered saying he was Leslie's associate.  When I told him this was a scam, he hung up on me.  What idiots.

    Missed call from 718-615-5162. Returned call and man with strong foreign accent answered "US Treasury Dept". I asked him to remove my phone number and he hung up on me. Called back and foreign female answered phone and told her to remove my number and not to call again. She actually said "F--- you b----" . Certainly noone from the US Treasury Dept.

    Received call from 909-999-6376 from same Leslie Owens.  Very broken English and threatening if I don't call it could be a 'Very big legal miss for me' and to have a 'Bless day'.  From what I understand, the treasury department never calls people....  LOL.  Per my OOMA service, this number is registered to a Mark Brown.  SCAM written all over it.     You can read as such here.  https://www.treasury.gov/about/organizational ... rts_index2.aspx

    I already got a call like this earlier this year. Just got another and I said my husband is a cop and he said well you need to have your husband protect you. I said guess what idiot first I already had a scam like this and if there was legal action against me I would know. He said ma'am you can be rude all you want, I am just trying to help you and if I do not do as he says then he could not help me and he would make sure I was arrested today and I laughed and said you are a idiot if u think I am stupid and if he is gonna make sure I am arrested today then bring it on and I said if you think you think you are gonna scare me by threatening my arrest think again idiot. I have already contacted the IRS and reported your name and number and then he hung up. The number he called from is 718-725-7108 name was Sheldon Orr.

    Same messages from 718-717-8051 Jeff Davis and another one from Jim ..., couldn't understand his last lame.
    My husband called back and told them to stop calling that we know its a scam, then he hung up the phone.

    Just got a call from "James Scrugg at the Dept. of Legal Affairs".  The number was 909-312-3999.  Heavy East Indian accent was a big tip off...  Was tempted to call back to see what was up, but think I will just let it slide....

    Got a call at 9:11 am EST for a Leslie Owens of Dept of Legal Affairs leaving a message to call her or have my attorney call her regarding a legal issue.  Her call back number was 949-945-9311.  My caller ID identified the caller's number as LaDoun Williams.  Fortunately, I had read about this is my AARP bulletin, so, I didn't call back.  All of the comments I've been reading confirmed my suspicion.

    I received a call yesterday just hear my voicemail and it said Adam Walker from a 9292322258 thats tge number they calledfrom but , eft a different 92p number to call back. Voice sounded robotic with beavy indian accent. Say message as all of you.

    I received a call from this number: 972-845-4308 about an imminent arrest by the Department of Legal Affairs. I immediately knew it was a possible scam. I called the number about 5 different times requesting more info. The individual on the other end became abusive and started cursing me. These individuals need to be discovered and put out of business. They prey on others.

    Just got this phone call.  I have had it a few times.  This guy with an Indian accent said all of the same things to me but used two different names.  One at the beginning and a different one at the end of the phone call, imagine that!  Both were very English sounding names.

    Diddo...just more of the same crap from some Indian calling himself Mike Jones from number 929-322-2601. As someone mentioned before, good thing these guys are so bad at what they're trying to do!

    I received a voice mail message on May 19, 2016 @ 2:06 pm from "Leslie Owens" claiming to be from Legal Affairs.( She speaks very poor English.)  She stated it was an important notification about an "enforcement" that has been placed against "you." (obviously a scam to get someone to call her back with their name, yeah good luck with that one,  LOL) She stated some bull crap about it being important to call her back or to have your attorney call back as her call was resulting in legal action being placed against my name. Then she ended her stupid scam message with "have a blessed day."  The number came from Newport Beach, CA ---949-945-9311.  The number was reported to FTC.
