Received 3 calls from these guys from 559-328-2353 at my office claiming to be some kind of Official US Branch of Govt. Anyways I called them to see what this was all about, and they couldn't get their names straight, So I asked for their address and the guy just hangs up. Its a SCAM of some kind for sure so don't fall for it.

    Got the same message about "a legal mess" from Legal Affairs. I simply blocked their number on my phone. To get me again they'll have to use different number.

    Received a call from a jam beeler at +1 (929) 244-4741. Indian sounding man. Bout had me in tears saying there was a warrant out for my arrest due to ignoring their previous attempts to contact me over filing my taxes wrong and I needed to get an attorney immediately. Fake!!

    I received this message from a Jason Smith, with heavy Indian accent, and it scared the crap out of me at first.  After calming myself all I could think of was....Jason SMITH...wow, they could at least pick a fake name that goes with their nationality.  The number was from Jamaica, NY.    Do I report this locally?

    I received the same message today June 15,2016 about 10:56 am the # 323-786-1041 caller  ID said John Bergin  lady that left message was Leslie Owens  with Dept of Legal Affairs    SCAMS!!!!!!!!  Don't fail for this (People).......

    If you get a call from (929)244-4741 it is a scam. They are pretending to be the department of legal affairs which is illegal.

    I called back after my 16 year old received a message from them. I suspected it was a SCAM and they proved it right away. I asked for an address where I could write to them and he said replied F you N*GGER and hung up. Cowards.

    Just heard the same message on my voice mail a man with a heavy Indian accent saying his name was Vic Jones from the dept of  Legal Affairs  he left a 718 number when I called the number it is no longer in service Thanks for posting ur message so we know this is a scam

    Just got a message today June 16 from Leslie on ones from the department of legal affairs tried to call the number back s message saying mailbox full try to call again received the same message and also she left the same message for me to obtain a lawyer so legal actions won't go any further getting ready to text Allison at Fox  5

    I also just listened to a message from a lady with an accent who said her name was Leslie Owen... With all the same as above... Department of Legal Affairs...... Scam!!!!!

    Just got a call from an Indian woman named Leslie from the Department of Legal Affairs stating I need to call them back at (217)501-2312...very suspicious in nature so I'm glad I checked the internet first!

    I received a message from a heavy accent man named Conrad smith (I think that's what he said) from department of legal affairs us treasury. He said I need to call him right back or have my attorney call before I be in a "legal mess." He never stated exactly what it's about, other than enforcement action has been started in my name. He called from new York 917 717 5141. I thought it was legit so I called back. A lady with an accent answered, her background was very loud. She answered and called my name. I asked what is this about. She had an attitude stating they had been trying to reach me regarding my 2014 taxes. I said what about the taxes. She hung  up. I called back 2 times and she hung up on me again. I looked the number up online and saw where other people had experienced the same thing kind of giving me relief. Sick people with too much free time on their hands. Please spread the word so family and friends are aware of the scam going on. Thanks!

    Happened to me today June 20, 2016. Indian guy apparently named Adam Smith said I was going to prison for failing to pay my US taxes from 2001-2006. I finally told him I wasn't even in the country those years. Scary part was he knew my address. When I asked for his address he hung up. I called back telling him I reported him to the police and another person (Indian accent) said "oh are you threatening me?!" And started yelling. I hung up and blocked him. So irritating 😡

    received a call from a Devon miller at 718-725-8936 same thick accent and making the same claims. I informed him the IRS NEEDED TO SEND ME THE PAPERWORK. He quickly hung up. I then called back and he answered I stated that the phone call was being recorded by the police department and he needed to state his  name. He quickly hung up and now the number doesn't work. Hehe

    Received this call today...Leslie Owens with Dept of Legal Affairs.  Freaked me out.  Called back and got voice mail...It didn't sit right so I looked it up.  BIG SCAM.  718-819-7702.  I pay my taxes so knew something was wrong.  Just thought everyone would like to see the new number.

    Just got a message from Leslie Jones in area code 718. Same spiel as usual. My 4th call in 2 weeks. Definitely a foreign accent.  I file a compliant with the national Do Not Call registry website each time.  Not sure it will help, but at least it's something.

    9292205856 Dennis Miller called me three times trying to tell me I had legal issues and would be arrested if I didn't call them back! Thanks for posting this so that I knew it was just a scam! Besides the Indian accent guy from the "US Treasury" LMAO!

    Got the call from "New York, NY" a few minutes ago. "Devon Miller" (right!) couldn't even get the phone number right saying it like this: 6464 03 4193. "If for any reason you are busy to cal me back" "might end up into a legal mess for you" "looking foward to speak with you" "have a blessed day and good luck"

    Yeahhhh, your name is Devon Miller...mm hmmm...
