Received 3 calls from these guys from 559-328-2353 at my office claiming to be some kind of Official US Branch of Govt. Anyways I called them to see what this was all about, and they couldn't get their names straight, So I asked for their address and the guy just hangs up. Its a SCAM of some kind for sure so don't fall for it.

    I just listened to a voice message from a man with a heavy Indian accent, informing me he was calling from the Department of Legal Affairs, US Treasury. He left his name and phone number and stated that is was important to call back due to the legal charges against me, and that if I couldn't call back to have my attorney call back so I didn't have legal mess....  His number is 347-894-5932 and his name is Michael Davis  (that really sounds like an Indian name right?).

    Thank goodness I read up on the scams because now I'm NOT following through with this; I've done nothing wrong.

    Dead give away ... he can hardly speak English ... Scam all the way!!!  Watch out for these crazy people.  I'm blocking the phone number...don't need this crap on my phone.

      Same number; same heavy Indian accent.  Claimed to be from Treasury Dept., at which point cut him off with "Don't call again" and hung up. DUH!  A NO-BRAINER.

    I have had 3 scams now. 1. IRS 2. Windows and now 3. Leslie Owens. All on land line not on cell phone. Is that the same for aall?

    Call from a Lisa davis....new York number ...same message as everyone else ...thank God I Googled it before I called them back.....

    Just got same call from a Lisa. Davis. Heavy accent....could hardly understand her....number was 917 563 4072

    I rec'd a call from 646-403-4193 according to my phone the call came from New York; they left a message...In a very heavy accent he said his name was Jason Smith from the Dept of Legal Affairs and I needed to contact him immediately regarding a law suit...yeah like that would ever happen....I'm a lot smarter than that Jason Smith... These people don't know that AMERICANS are smarter than that....

    A Lesley Owens, with a heavy accent from the Department of Legal Affairs called me from 718-819-7917 and left me a message - I called back and got voice mail - sounded dodgy so I hung up. Marked the number in my phone as Scammer so I can have fun if they ever call back...

    Got a call from "Leslie Owens," with a thick Indian accent. Same spiel as everyone else got here. Phone number was 949-945-1311. That's in California. So she's really getting around. New York one day, California the next. I did a reverse lookup, and it's a VOIP number out of Newport Beach, CA provided by Mpower communications. Whitepages isn't yet reporting it as a scam number. I'm guessing these guys have a large arsenal of unused VOIP numbers.

    Today Leslie Owens also called us about an impending "enforcement action against" us!  718-819-7702 was the number. The east Indian accent was thick and tough to understand.

    Has anyone reported this scam to the authorities? When I called the number back, the guy with the Indian accent asked me what cell phone number he called so he could look up my account. Then told me they had been trying to reach "Barbara Bach" for a long time and that he's sorry to have inconvenienced me. Told me to have a blessed day.

      The motive is to separate  you from your  money. Such nice East Indian Criminals.

    I just received a voice mail from a Richard Miller from the Department of Legal Affairs.  He sounded like his first language is not English.  Reading these comment I now know that this is scam.  Watch out for this number 347-894-5932.

    i just got a call with the same accent and same spiel...saying call asap dept. of legal affairs the number is 646-403-4193 said his name was Jason Smith.

    I got a message from James clark (1-929-244-4853) and he say I got verbal notification.

    I received a call today from a 217 area code.  It was a woman and she spoke fairly decent English.  But you can tell it's a scam!

    I just got one of these calls today but his English was so poor that I could hardly make out what he said.  I got "legal issue" and "department of legal affairs".  All the other words I couldn't make out due to his thick accent.  My call came from 917-877-7028.  He said he looked forward to hearing from me and wished me a blessed day!  It's comical the things they try to do to scam people.  Too bad they didn't reach a sucker with me.

    Received a message from Robert Thompson. Had a very heavy Indian accent. Phone number 646-506-9415. Scam! They tried last week saying they were from the IRS.
