Received 3 calls from these guys from 559-328-2353 at my office claiming to be some kind of Official US Branch of Govt. Anyways I called them to see what this was all about, and they couldn't get their names straight, So I asked for their address and the guy just hangs up. Its a SCAM of some kind for sure so don't fall for it.

    Yup....got a call from Leslie today from Dept. of Legal Affairs for the US Treasury on our landline. She left me the same message as the rest of you. I don't answer calls on the landline from numbers that aren't familiar...and I do google numbers that leave sketchy messages like this one. Leslie will not be getting a call back from me.

    got message from "Leslie Owens"...number used was Springfield, IL - 217-960-6585....when I called back a man answered...I pressed him for name..he replied "Richard Harris".  when I asked where his office was located with the "Department of Treasury Legal Affairs" he hung up.

    I just got the same call today. A lady with an accent from the "Depart of Legal Affairs the number on the caller ID was 718-819-7702.

    Just got a similar call, but with a different number. Phone number was 202-536-2343 and it is from 'Washington D.C"

    I got a voice mail from 202-536-2343.  Was pretty sure it was a scam but I called back anyway.  The guy that answered had that same heavy Indian accent .  If he gave a name I couldn't understand it.  I asked to speak to his supervisor but he said he didn't have one and I could only speak to him.  It was supposedly about a lawsuit filed against me by the IRS.  Right - like I would be notified about a lawsuit by a recorded message.  LOL

    Just received a voice mail from Lesley Owens, Department of Legal Affairs about some legal action to be taken against us.  Her # was 718-819-7917.  When I returned the call. The "gentleman" said he couldnt talk to me.  Turns out they were wanting to talk to my son who no longer resides with us.  I questioned the man about fraudulent phone calls and he becam irritated with me and hung up.  I called him back and tried to explain nicely that I just wanted to be certain this wasn't a scam.  I asked his name.  He replied Sean Williams.  I told him he didn't sound like  Sean and at that point he threatened to "put me behind bars".  He also let me know the conversation was being recorded and told me I'd be sorry.  I said that was good because anyone listening to the recording would hear that I was being nice.  At that point he said something like "we will be coming to get you, you a..hole" and he slammed down the phone.

    Same here just now. " Department of Legal Affairs "   a New York, NY number  347-894-5932
    Man with and Indian accent said that some complaints had been lodged and asked if I had a lawyer - I hung up.  He called back but I did not answer.

    Got a call today, same scam from number 347-650-2986 out of NY.

    The same thing just happened to me.  I person with a very heavy accent left me a message about legal actions against me.  It was a New York Number.

    Just happened to me he said his name was Robert Thompson I knew it was a scam from the start so i played along till he hung up. I then kept calling him back until I started getting a busy signal

    Got call scared me for real from  indian accent man  if not respond will be going to jail number 9292205856 today demanded me to pay taxes form 2013 have not worked in 5 years,He say he from department of legal affairs us treasury.then he  transferred to another man who talking about payment arrangement which he wanted in full he got upset and hung up.

    i recvd a call today from a chris wilcox from dept of legal affairs of us treasury enforcedment action that is started on my name lol okay um sheriff would serve me and also um tells me to have my attorney calli never answered he cannot even pronounce my name and didnt even sound like my name and telling me i needed to call him back oh number they used was ny 9292205856

    Received a call today from fellow with heavy Indian accent who mentioned my son's name. Number was 929-232-1017. I told him I was reporting him to the FBI and then hung up. It was out of Saint Albans, N.Y.

    I received these call a few months ago & now there're starting again.  Caller claims to be from Dept. of Financial Affairs & that legal action is being taken against me.  Last time I reported calls to FBI, Local Police & anyone else I could think of.  The caller speaks with a thick accent, threatens & then chuckles.  He even advised me to have my attorney call if I wanted.  The # is:
    929 329 3036.  Beware

    Area code 929 just left me the same message. Couldn't even make out what Adam Jones (ahem) was communicating. But apparently I should be scared. Thanks all for posting. You saved me time and frustration.

    Got a call yesterday at 2:15pm said was Justin Rose. The .# is from NY 918 877 7028 and got the same message. I was scared and try to call back and it just kept busy .

    Just the same message from a 929-297-7376 from a Adam walker with a heavy Indian accent stating he is calling from the department of legal affairs and charges has been filed against me and i should call  him back asap.I WO

    I received a message this morning at 9 am stating they were the dept of legal affairs and I need to get my attorney in order if I don't reply I'll be facing legal matters, he what Pakistani had the last name Cooper,lol, I'm going through chemo right now,I just can't believe o people can do this to you, so now I feel relieved that I came on this site and found all you're comments, it was a929#
